Vanquish An Old Foe

//Occ: Sorry about the wait and no post. This may be late for Halloween but, better late then never.

(Part 1)

As Catalyst, Kor, and there children head to Chonker’s Speedway to see if there’s a party going but, once there. They see that something is going on and the whole family is there with weapons ready. “Honey? What’s going?” Catalyst ask Rosso.

“It’s him. Belial is making an army of himself as it turns out he’s alive but, as from what gather as that he doesn’t have any powers to escape this time.” Rosso said as he let’s Catalyst know that there two kids are with Midas and Vaude (@fn-devilles) at the apartment along Blu and Nero kids.

They both agreed as Lupo joins with them along with Gatta, Vampa, and Musica. They head to Grim Gables and once they arrived to the old mansion. Argento, Turchino, and Blu head inside as the others waited if things happen outside. As three make there way as the fell through the floor and landed as they see the torches have been lighten up.

As a being had a rise as the screen had the Last Reality symbol on its visor which means. “Long time no see. I’m looking forward to finishing you all off.” It was the voice of Belial but, in a new body to a black goo. They all charge at him but, Belial summons his Inkquisitor’s which are a clone of him. They had to fight back as more when outside. The others saw as more of Belial clones came out and Rosso and his family charged into battle. Takara and Musica had fought off the Inkquisitor’s as the two made a clearing path to help the other’s as Shade dodges one of the clones rockets.

“Ha you miss me!” Shade Insulted one of the clones as Takara would help Shade as she took out a few when another throws a firefly at Takara but, Shade got her out of the way.

“Don’t worry. I got this Takara. Go help Blu!” Shade said as she takes on the clones. Shade is glad to kill Belial for good. “This one. Is for OUR HOME PLANET!” Shade shouted to avenge her people.

As the fire would catch as the tunnels wood are in a blaze. Takara then helps Blu fight the original Belial while his cousin Argento is handling himself against the clones.

“This is the end of you Belial! Your regin of terror ends now!” Argento slice and shots one of the clones. As Blu, Takara, and Musica came out of the tunnels as Belial came out as Blu has on a new weapon known as the Howler Claws and he got out a sniper out.

Belial took the bullet that is hitting him as he dodges and throw fireflies at him and Takara. Musica has on the same weapon that Blu has on and charges at Belial. “Leave my parents alone!” She shouted as jumps and strikes at him.

Musica has clash and slash at Belial for everything he did to her father Blu and including her mother Takara and uncle Rosso. She then push him toward Blu but, Belial quickly took his weapon and aim at Blu to land a strike.

As Belial is about to fire when his gun is jam and look back at Blu to see a wolf coming at him with fear and this is the only thing he see’s as his head is cut off. Blu had vanquish Belial once and for all as the clones began to shake as they felt there original have die and nothing left but, goo. Blu look at what remains of Belial and sat on the ground with Musica and Takara going to him and saw that Belial body is gone for good. They hug Blu as he cried of happiness that the nightmare is over. Rosso and the others came over to them and now that Belial is dead. Only thing left is for what comes for the future of the and everyone however Paradigm has the answers.

Midas then kisses Vaude and leads him to his car as they get to the car and open the door for Vaude. “For the lovely birdy.” Midas said.

Blu then grabs it. “Oh wow thank you so much and your welcome Elizabeth.” Blu then hugs her. “I’m sure their will be someone special.” He added.

Midas then hands the money to the clerk and seeing Vaude happy made him feel with joy. “That is a good name.”

Back to Blu. “Thanks Elizabeth. The island needs healers. Who knows what will happen next. Though what will you do now?” Blu ask Elizabeth.

Midas looks at Vaude as he stood on his tiptoes and his forehead against his lover’s. Hearing Vaude voice and felt his cheek. “I’m glad to hear you say that. I love you so much. You mean so much to me.” He then hugs him.

Rosso and Casey felt Elizabeth hands on there shoulders. Nero then pats Jules on the back softly to comfort her. “It’s ok Jules. I know it’s hard but, she wants us to move forward. No matter what. We still keep living.” Nero speaks.

“We can head to my restaurant that I have going on. I was going to have Skye in charge but, Snow made me realize that was a bad idea. So he’s in charge.” Midas then thinks about the last time he left Skye in charge.

Blu listens to her as he hears about juice. He then rise his hand. “Sounds like a plan. Also can’t wait to try the juice. Hope the Stardust team are doing alright. Though wondering about the Starlight group.” Blu then though about Starlight.

“He can come in. Also you maybe hungry but, before we go. You may want to return your sister beg.” Midas let’s Vaude know of his sister bag.

“There a grope of heroes and some come from other reality as well. There friendly people and they protect the innocents.” Blu says as he tells her. “I think they got a new member from what I heard.” He adds.

Vaude paused in his footsteps as he was reminded of the weight of the bag on his back. He slapped his palm against his forehead at his forgetfulness.

“Shoot, I forgot! Thanks, honey.”

Before Vaude took off, he told Mudslide to stay with Midas. Vaude sprinted his way back to the last place the others were. There, he stopped in front of Elizabeth and panted from the exertion of all the running.

Elizabeth tilted her head down and looked at her brother past her beak. She outstretched a hand towards him and asked, “Bag?”

Vaude silently nodded and removed the bag. When he placed it in her hand.

“Bag,” said Vaude as he took off back towards Midas.

A few minutes later, Vaude skidded to a stop beside his lover and new pet once more. He held a thumbs up.

“Delivered the bag!”

Elizabeth shook her head and dug through her bag. She held a can of Med mist as she approached the group, and Blu, once more.

“Anyway, these heroes sound interesting. I’ve already told Rosso and Casey, but I’ll tell you as well: whatever medical assistance you need, Vaude and I will provide for you all at no cost. It’s our thanks for the help you’ve given us.”

She handed Blu the can of mist and slung the bag securely over her shoulders.

Vaude continued to walk close to Midas. He had put Mudslide down to let the pup trot beside him. Vaude’s eyes lit up at the mention of a restaurant.

“Food?! I could go for that, plus I don’t think I’ve ever seen the inside of the place before. Wait, can Mudslide come in too? I know some places don’t allow pets inside.”

Vaude slightly frowned at the realization.

Elizabeth shook her head and crossed her arms.

“I love the enthusiasm, but I’m afraid Guzzle juice isn’t safe enough for human consumption. We need to perfect the formula before sending it out into the public,” said Elizabeth.

She paused and adjusted the hood on her cloak. “Who or what is Stardust team, by the way?”

Elizabeth was interested in how the group functioned.

Vaude carried Mudslide and exited the shop with a pep in his step. Once outside the shop, Vaude turned to Midas and asked, “What do you want to do now, honey?”

It didn’t matter to Vaude, because he always had a good time with the love of his life.

Elizabeth rested a hand on her chin as she thought about Blu’s question.

“Well, I suppose Vaude and I will do what we did back on Apollo. We’ll find a place to set up our medical center and continue to research better ways to heal people, and make our own medicine. So far, we’ve come up with a medical mist that can be used while people are on the run, and we’ve been making a healing juice sort of like slurp juice. We’re thinking about calling it guzzle juice, or simple guzzlers, but it’s nowhere near finished yet.”

As Elizabeth spoke about her plans on distributing medicine to Artemis, she patted around her back for her medicine bag. She remembered that Vaude had it and sighed.

“My brother has my medicine bag, but when he gets back, I will give you a can of Med mist.”

Elizabeth raised her hand as a gesture of keeping her promise.

Midas got in and buckles up as he starts the car. Then drives to the restaurant. “Want me to roll the window down?” Midas ask.

“It takes time and maybe you’ll find the one or they will find you.” Blu said as he pats her on the back. As they when to there lives and enjoy what they love to do.

Vaude squealed with pure joy as he made his way to the counter to adopt the puppy. The clerk held the pup as Vaude quickly filled out the paperwork and waited for Midas to hand the clerk money.

Vaude took the pup back from the clerk and smiled at his new companion.

“I think I’ll name you Mudslide because you look like you were playing in the mud. I’ll even call you Muddy as a nickname! How does that sound?”

The pup yipped and licked Vaude again. The small bird laughed and hugged his newly found Mudslide.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth watched as Blu drew a face and turned it upside down. A small smile crept onto her face as she applauded his art.

“Well, the island definitely needs some smiles. Good job, Blu,” said Elizabeth.

“Really? He isn’t wrong. I have been good to help others to turn their frown upside down.” Blu did a drawing of face but, turn it upside.

Vaude hugged the pup closer and turned to Midas. The pup licked Vaude’s mask and wagged its tail.

“Look, Dom! This puppy really likes me. Can I keep him?”

The small bird looked up at his lover with the biggest pleading eyes. The puppy stared at Midas and did the same pleading face.

Elizabeth dropped her hand to her side and side-eyed the other McKnight brother. She could have sworn she was only thinking quietly about her lack of love life.

“Nice to meet you, too. I’ve heard a lot of good things about you from Rosso.”

Elizabeth glanced at Rosso and smiled as she gave him a short nod of acknowledgment.

Elizabeth nodded and hummed at Jules’ question.

Meanwhile, Vaude clapped with pure joy as he was carefully placed on the floor. With a brief, “Thank you,” shouted over his shoulder at Midas, Vaude scurried off further into the mall.

Elizabeth observed the trio for a bit and sighed. She felt bad that she was always working, and seeing how happy Rosso, Casey, and Catalyst were together, and even her own brother with his partner, made her wish she had someone to love her. Elizabeth was then startled out of her thoughts by an unfamiliar voice. Elizabeth squinted her eyes and tilted her head. She cautiously stuck out a gloved hand.

“Elizabeth Deville, lead doctor of the island formerly known as Apollo, and hopefully now on Artemis, too. My assistant, who’s my twin brother, was just here, but I think he scurried off to purchase lord knows what. And you are?”

In another part of the mall, Vaude zoomed in and out of stores like a kid with a sugar-rush and no parents to tell him ‘no’. Suddenly a yip from inside another shop made Vaude stop in his tracks. Vaude entered the store and was greeted by several pets. He followed the yipping to a bin of puppies, and a dark brown one with light brown patches jumped at the side of the bin. Vaude picked the puppy up and cooed as he held the wiggling bundle of fur close.

Vaude whistled for Mudslide and the pup jumped in after his second attempt. Vaude giggles as the door is opened for him and sweetly returns the kiss to Midas.

“Oh my, such a gentleman,” said Vaude.

He entered the car and buckled his seatbelt. Mudslide clambered into Vaude’s lap and sat to where he could look out the window.

Elizabeth stiffened in the hug at first, but after a moment, she returned it. She smiled as she hugged Blu.

“That’s kind of you to say,” said Elizabeth as she took a step back. She continued, “But I’m afraid that no one likes how busy my job keeps me, and if they don’t mind the job, they all wind up saying I’m too serious or that I’m too close with my twin brother.”

Elizabeth sighed, but quickly regained her composure. She brushed off her dress like she was brushing away her troubles.
