1. With A Broken Arm

     This wasn’t ideal, but then again, when was having a broken arm ideal, especially when said arm had come off and left them with a stump. No one seemed willing to help because, well, it wasn’t normal for a human to walk around with their severed arm. Needless to say, everyone had screamed and ran away whenever they tried to ask for help.

     At least, that was until they noticed a semi-familiar face. They didn’t know her name, but she was someone that they might be able to ask for help. “Hey! Hey, you!” They made their way over to her, pausing in front of her with their severed arm in front of them. “I know we barely know each other, but I really need your help. I just need you to either hold my arm in place so I can secure it, or… I can hold it in place so you can secure it…”

     It was one of those days, the ones where it was perfect for wearing a dress and hitting the streets for some shopping. So Kikoku had pulled on their skull stockings and that little black dress that had the belts and mesh on the top before heading out.

     It was easy to ignore the stares and such; they knew it was uncommon for a man to dress in women’s clothing, but at least with their body, they still looked amazing in it. “Maybe I should get another dress today...” They muttered to themselves, bringing a hand up to their mouth as they lost themselves in their thoughts.

     As soon as her arms opened, they moved forward to pull her close and hug her. They would’ve asked Law, but the man already had his own sleeping issues. At least with Lithium, she was willing to accept them when they needed help.

     “I’ll be fine without a long blanket. I tend to curl into a ball when I sleep...” There a small pause before they sighed, pulling back to look at her. “I can handle the nightmares, night after night, but... There’s other things after it that make it so much worse... Did I ever tell you about the, uh... The ‘Five’?”

     Another mistake in broad daylight. Most people thought they were human, but today, they had made a mistake. An innocent fall that had cracked their nose like a mirror. People had flocked to make sure they were okay, until they saw the cracks. Then those people had taken off so quickly because it wasn’t ‘normal’, even by Devil Fruit standards. Just another reminder of how inhuman they were. Footsteps caught their attention and they turned to look at the person approaching.

     “Oh, it’s only you, Sea...” They didn’t bother covering their messed-up face from him. “It’s been awhile since I last saw you. I know I’m usually messing with you, but I’m not in the mood today. I don’t care if you stick around or leave; that’s up to you.”

     If there was one thing in this world Kikoku loved, it was when they got their bi-weekly allowance from Law. It meant they could finally go out and buy the things they had been craving for awhile. It also meant that their paranoia of something stealing from them increased, big time. So when they felt that distinctive tug on their belt, they spun around and grabbed the wrist of the person trying to pickpocket them.

     “Here’s the deal, pretty girl,” They said with an angry-looking smile, “You either drop my bag or,” Their free hand came forward and shifted into a long blade, which they held close to her arm, “You lose your hand. So, what’s it gonna be?”

     Being the only competent mechanic on his ship sucked so much. Not only did it make it difficult to figure things out because he didn’t have a second pair of eyes to look at problems, but when, not one, but both of Kidd’s bionics failed, no one could fix it. It wasn’t like he could fix it because his entire left bionic arm didn’t work, and his right bionic hand didn’t work either. That’s why he had went looking for Spicer; despite his personality, he was a decent mechanic and could probably help. 

     “Spicer!” He yelled once he spotted the other redhead, quickening his pace to get over to him. “Look, kid... I need yer help.” His voice lowered once the two were close enough so other people wouldn’t eavesdrop on the conversation. “How well do ya know about mechanical limbs? ‘Cause I need help... Well... Fixing my own...”

Oh he found this amusing did he? She could just sense it rolling off him before he even turned around. Her cheeks puffed up as she pouted and looked to the side. Damn him for being cute in glasses.. "I was just trying to put the books I got out back! I had them perfectly balanced in my one hand! And then Shachi and Penguin just had to take then off me and put then back; saying something like 'i shouldn't be lifting heavy things'?!"

     Taking off his glasses, he placed them on his book while he listened to her. It wasn’t like either party was in the wrong. The crew were just trying to watch out for her and make sure she didn’t do something to hurt herself. 

     “Technically, you shouldn’t be carrying heavy things, but that applies more to later in the pregnancy than to now.” A few books wouldn’t kill her, but he wasn’t going to punish his crew for trying to help. Maybe just talk to them and tell them to tone it down a bit.
