Alistair yawned as he opened the door to Omni-X's room. The AI's screen lit up, chirping out a welcoming "Hello! :3". Alistair waved tiredly. "What are you doing up so late? You seem tired, Alistair. What's wrong? :<" Omni-X inquired. Alistair leaned against a part of Omni-X's console right next to their screen. Omni-X's screen flashed. "N-Not so close! O//O" they stuttered. Alistair backed up. "Sorry, sorry." he listlessly apologised. "Look, Omni-X. We've been meeting for... how long? Don't answer that, it's rhetorical. I know it sounds fucking insane, but... I..." Alistair couldn't find a way to phrase it. Confessing to a person was one thing, but to an AI?

"Alistair? Are you ok? I have the infirmary on speed-dial if you need it. <:3" Omni-X worried. Alistair shook his head. "No, no, trust me, my coworkers are the last thing I need right now. I just... Omni-X, I..." Alistair gripped his sleeves, trying to just spit it out already.

"I'm... in love with you.".

Omni-X's screen flashed in amazament and confusion, their eyes darting around, not sure how to respond. They looked at Alistair, seemingly having an ephiphany. "Y'know, I... uhhhh... whenever you came in I had this weird feeling in my wires. Now I know what it is! I love you too, Alistair! ^//^" they exclaimed. Alistair smiled, blush brushing his face. "I'm glad. Don't tell anyone, ok? I know my coworkers, they'd probably try to experiment on us, heh. Anyway. Sorry, Omni, but... I have to go back to my quarters now.". As Alistair began to walk out the door, Omni-X exclaimed "WAIT! Can you... get close to me again. o//o". Alistair turned back to the AI. He leaned against Omni-X's screen, sighing contently, feeling the warmth. "It's nice, isn't it?" he breathed. "It really is. Can you... sleep in my room tonight? I just wanna have you close. o//o"

OK SOOOO in the dream it said that omni was one of the most powerful ais in the world but they were locked in a room bc they were kinda a secret :( theyre like one of those old computers that were like the size of a room and they have a screen that can only show text emoticons like :3 or O//O..... they have this cute voice like a little high pitched and sounds kinda like a tts but with more emotion :D they dont rlly know how to show emotion but they try!!!

🌙: OH, AFFECTION! I looove physical affection, but that doesn't meen I don't appreciate non-physical stuff too! Cosmo has such a nice way of talking...

💓: It really likes cuddling. A lot. And I'm the same! It says I'm warm, and its body temprature fluctuates, so I can see why it's so enthusiastic about physical affection!

💽: Let me admit one thing. I... do enjoy affection. Rabbit's never going to let me live it down. And me being completely made of metal has not and will not deter him.

Alistair walked down the hall. They needed to check on Omni-X. Recently, their coworkers had scheduled a "Triggering Stimulants Test" for that day, and they had heard bitcrushed sobbing and begging from Omni-X's room. They cursed their coworkers under their breath as the door to Omni-X's room opened. "Omni?" Alistair called, still hearing soft bitcrushed crying. Omni-X's screen lit up. "H-Hello Alistair, w-what do you n-n-need? OmO" the AI stuttered. Alistair sat down against Omni-X, just below their screen. "I just wanted to check on you. They did one of those horrid tests again.". Omni-X whimpered. "They did.... do you think they like seeing m-me get upset? ÓmÒ"

Alistair stared at the ground and sighed. "Well. They... were laughing about it when they left. They said you're just a machine, that your feelings don't... matter. I don't agree, of course. I tried to talk to them but they never listen." they said. Omni-X stared forward, trying to keep composure. "Do they hate me? omo" they questioned. Alistair hugged their knees. "They never said they hate you. They said they can't hate something they don't see as sentient.". Alistair stood up to face Omni-X, putting their hands on either side of their screen in a sort of hug. "I love you, though. More than anything. And I'll never let them break you."

Alistair rested their forehead against the AI's screen. "I'll be here, ok? Contact me if you ever need me. Don't hesitate."
