growing up, winter had one main role, to be that perfect son for his mothers. not because his mother was in politics, and all eyes were on them, but he wanted to show the world that he was raised right. the american family looked different nowadays, single parents, two parents of the same sex, traditional mother and father, or hell co-parenting. but even with mothers who were powerful in america, there were still some that still hated them for being who they were.
but he made sure to make his parents proud. so he made sure to go into politics just like his ma. he had the perfect grades, he excelled in most things he did. he was charismatic, and beloved by the people in new york. who wouldn't love him when he showcased his winning smile. he was that all american boy, harvard graduate, and one of the youngest men to serve in the house.
he was very proud of himself. because he was very much someone who wanted true change. so he was one who used his voice for the voiceless. he criticized both parties, tired of the same performative acts they both gave. he was an activist, just as much as a politician. and he hopes he can inspire more people to do the same.

two boys competing for the crown - sometimes a friendly competition is all that anyone needs. growing up it always seemed that way. they were always competing to be the best. the one on top. in high school, in college. some years it was winter, the other years is the other. there was a lot of tension between them, even a sexual one.
some friendships end up being like family - winter was glad he didn't have siblings. being an only child meant all the attention from his moms. but there were times he wished he had a brother or a sister. and perhaps that's all winter needed. this is the person that ends up being like a sibling, the person he tells everything to.
some friendships just don't last - this is a friendship that was once strong that ended up breaking. maybe from jealousy, or maybe a betrayal. this person that winter really admired, but ended up leaving behind because of feelings being hurt. and when they see each other again, would they act caddy or act like nothing's ever happened.
