“Don’t waste time on hypotheticals. I’m here, with you.” Felix was firm but gentle as he resumed his painting. “And soon enough, it will just be the two of us.”

The older child remained unconvinced. Eighteen seemed so far away; even then, he doubted his father would let them go that easily.

Also, two of the big reveals, but I can’t share anything about these scenes for obvious reasons. So you get the cousins being soft instead! 💚💜
