Pink Eyed Shuck: A Lorelei/ Exhero alternative ending

◇What if instead of dying, the Rogue Player got teleported to another world, free from the Queen's command and still alive? What if said place they got transported to was more grounded, more normal? What if it got transported to the world of humans?◇

She was sure they were dead.

It remembers fighting that Wanderer, the one whom she has watched the entire time, lurking in the shadows. They remembered watching the Queen rid them of the corruption, offering her hand to her, stating that she's the rightful ruler of the land, that the elders were Fools.

It remembers that... One, that 'Hero', drawing their sword and almost attacking her, when she intervened. They remembers fighting with all their might, summoning and dashing and dodging, yet they still fell to the Hero's blade. It remembers watching them stab the Queen, before their world faded to black.

She was supposed to be dead, yet why can they still think?

The Queen is dead, yet it still seemed to be alive? That can't be right, she's a corrupted being, an undead one, their life is connected to her, is it not? Yet... it was probably still alive.

She tried to open their eye, hues of grey swirling around, everything feeling disorienting. It eyesight wasn't the best, yet she seems to be in a open field, with what seems to be some buildings nearby. It also seems to be nighttime, judging by how cold it is, and the fact that they can only see in greyscale.

It tried to crawl to the buildings, but her right leg and arm suddenly burst into pain. Turning into their winged form, it screeched loudly as she fell to the ground. They slumped down a little bit, staring off into the distance.

Where is it exactly? What place is this? It remembers that she was in the throneroom, yet they were in a field now. Why is that? Did it somehow teleported to a new location, did someone carried her here? They just felt overwhelmed, this place feels wrong, too different. It tried to not cry, and tried to walk again, this time on all fours.

She uttered some hisses of pain, but managed to crawl their way to the buildings, maybe it could get some help, or probably rest there for the night if it was abandoned. She glanced at the buildings, one was much bigger than the other, and also looked like there was an accessible entrance hole, since it seems like the other building is locked.

They climbed the walls, claws digging into the wood and eyes closing from exhaustion and pain, and entered from the opening. It was mostly empty, with stalls on either side and some dried grass in a corner. There also seems to be some animals in the stalls as well... rather large ones in fact, many of which are somewhat bigger than a duckdeer, and had four legs and a long tail made of hair.

As it walks around looking for a spot to settle down, one of said creatures stared at her, making a strange huffing noise. They stared at it for a second, before walking off. What is this place, and what are those creatures? It's definitely sure that she's not somewhere familiar.

They limped towards the pile of straw, it could make a nice spot to rest for the night. It curled up on the pile, sighing. She was completely exhausted and in pain, their eyesight blurring again and their limbs felt like it was on fire. As it drifted off to sleep, she felt scared and confused, for the fact that they were still alive, and that it was completely alone in a new world.

◇Remember how I (kind of) mentioned that I kinda wanted to give Lorelei wings?◇

◇I wanted to give them pterosaur-eque wings, but multiple bird-like wings would be cool as well... although pretty painful looking when it needs to fly... although the pterosaur wings aren't any better...◇

◇Tonight I learnt that, apparently, you can stab Lorelei during the ending cutscene?◇

◇Basically, there's this one speedrunning trick where you enter the tower and then run out and respawn, causing you to be able to move while the cutscene is playing.◇

◇And you can stab Lorelei during this?! Like girl just shakes their head and stares at you before walking off. It's kind of funny.◇

◇Trying to resist the urge to doodle Lorelei but as an eldritch angel-adjacent... thing.◇

◇Like make a joke AU where Lorelei inexplicable (and quite horrifically) transforms into eldritch-horror-that's still-in-your-comprehension after Hob defeated them... and then everyone (Including the Queen) is mildly concerned because they did not know Lore can do that.◇

Lore is a cat in spirit. She can be: friendly, mysterious, violent, spooky... these are very cat actions

◇In fact, it is kind of a vaspian thing in general, they're pretty cat-like. Jeeves can attest to this, especially with Hob.◇

◇One of these days, I might draw a full blown piece with Lorelei being spooky because she deserves to be a little cryptid <3◇

◇Might be one where they (winged form) are staring at the camera, the flashlight barely outlining their silhouette, except for it's eye, shining like a headlight. They're also in the woods for maximum spookiness.◇

◇Not too sure on that one, but it'll look cool.◇

◇Finally... she's wearing something other than the torn cloak /hj◇

◇Anyways, have some little headcanons as well as the drawing!◇

The specific area where HoB takes place is in the tropical zone, so they don't really have summer. But they do have a dry season!

Vaspians would wear clothes that exposes the gills, especially when it's somewhat hot and/or humid

They also really like wearing stuff that has warm colours! Red is the most popular, although yellow and orange is somewhat common as well.

Lorelei has custom made boots, that also has claw caps inside. She doesn't want to accidentally claw someone or something.

The umbrella is a gift that Hob gave them. It really likes to use it.

◇In a bit of a drabble mood lately so i might write something about Lorelei... maybe one where she wakes up in an unfamiliar world.◇

◇The fact that in the poll I made, Lorelei being the one with more votes is pretty funny, since she does seem like a fan favourite surprisingly enough.◇

◇Their mildly creepy appearance paired with the odd goofiness of how they act in-game makes it one of my favourite characters in general, plus they are oddly adorable.◇

◇Granted only 6 people voted, but still, Lorelei seems like they could be a popular character.◇

◇If Lorelei was in a fighting game, she'll definitely be a combination of rushdown/ puppeteer and would summon Hob for her super/ ultimate.◇

◇Today I learnt that you can actually see Lorelei pretty early in the game.◇

◇Wonder how many times Lorelei actually appears, and whether there's even MORE locations where you can see Lorelei...◇

♨ : Does your muse have good table manners? How do they feel about bad table manners?

◇Since she doesn't really need to eat (not that they could for that matter), it doesn’t really go to restaurants. But, if she does go to one (to hang out with friends?), they'll have pretty decent table manners.◇

◇It doesn't really have any option of table manners in general, but will get squicked out for some of the pretty bad ones. She also thinks some table manners a little bit weird in general.◇

⍤ : What does your muse’s voice sound like? Is it light? High pitched? Scratchy? Deep?

◇Lorelei's voice is somewhat raspy and a little bit high pitched yet soft sounding.◇

◇I would describe her voice as sounding a bit like this raven mimicking human speech, but much clearer sounding and a bit raspy.◇

◇I also decided to throw in the headcanon that Lorelei can mimic sounds pretty well, but has a slight rasp or is slightly higher pitched than the actual thing they're mimicking. It especially likes to mimic bird calls and some voices.◇
