wilderness baby surviving and shauna feeling some kinda way watching you take care of him <33 -🌻

even though you promised to help shauna with her baby she still kinda figured you'd flake out when the time came to actually do it. she isn't all that trusting by nature and figured it's just something you said to calm her down as she feared for her life.

she's seen how carefully you watch her take care of the baby but she attributes it to mere concern and doesn't think much of it. sure, she's noticed that you make sure to bring her food first but figures she was just sitting closest. maybe she's noticed the way you sit so close to the baby, but the baby does sleep in the warmest part of the cabin. sure, she's appreciated the way you've woken her up to feed the baby but she figured he was probably just crying too loudly.

when she she wakes up from an accidentally long nap she immediately panics as she looks for her baby. she watches with something that's nearly awe as you quietly rock the baby in your arms in the corner, raising one hand so that the baby can play with your fingers. you coo gently at hin, unaware of the attention you've garnered. Shauna turns to the other girls who seem so used to the sight that they don't even blink.

shauna gets a warm feeling in her stomach as she watches you and realizes that you truly meant what you promised her. he's so calm with you that she knows you must have spent a significant amount of time taking care of him. she watches the way your arms flex as you gently set a sleeping baby back down in his crib, squirming slightly as she gets a warm feeling in an entirely different location. her face is flushed as she rolls over to go back to sleep, eyes clenched shut in embarrassment as she hopes no one noticed.

Sunniiie, yes, you get it! There's so many parallels to draw from them, and one my favorites is that they both find their comfort in you. (You're fr their favorite person)

There's something to be said about them both being alley strays, they're always gonna show their fangs before they show trust.

But Bean is so gentle with you, and you're so gentle in return! And Jason wants that, to know and be, gentle and sweet and kind. He just doesn't think he knows how to be that. But he tries, tries to deserve your soft touches and calming words.
