Tsum Tsum!
a/n: I took one look at Ruggie's tsumderland card and went insane
cw: oc x canon (Ruggie x Daisy)
Words: 456
Dividers.
Tumblr media
“This is getting ridiculous now.”
“Shh!! He’s sleeping!” Daisy shushes her lover and quickly looks down at her lap. Ruggie’s tsum lookalike was so incredibly adorable, as soon as he landed his eyes on her he hadn't gone away since, and now he's softly purring like a cat.
Oh, and holding Ruggie’s wallet.
“Can you at least give me my wallet back?” Ruggie asked, a frown on his face as he saw his girlfriend being monopolized by a round small version of himself… goodness, the little thing looked proud to be held by her. The nerve.
“But he’ll look sad…”
“Who cares! Your boyfriend is very sad now, what are you gonna do about it?” Daisy stopped, eyes wide as Ruggie finally realized what he said and cringed. His ears went down and his face was all red, he looked somewhere else in embarrassment. “J-just give me my money back will you?”
Daisy chuckled for a moment, her own cheeks feeling warm. As one hand continued caressing the tsum gently, the other grabbed the wallet and she returned it to its rightful owner.
“Thanks…” the boy said, opening it up to check if the few thaumarks he had were still there or not. Suddenly, he felt a warm feeling on his cheek, Daisy’s soft lips against his skin, giving him a sweet kiss before backing away, looking at the tsum as she cleared her throat.
“Sorry, this little guy is just so cute, I can't help it. But you're still my number one.” Ruggie turned his face, not wanting to be seen by her the way he was right now. So flustered, so embarrassed but so incredibly happy. He was certain his tail was wagging like crazy and he hated it. “Oh, he’s awake.”
“It.”
“He’s clearly alive so I'm not calling him an it!” Daisy pouted as the tsum climbed up her arms and rested on her shoulder, making the blonde chuckle. “What is it, little guy? Do you want something?”
Without any warning, the tsum’s ‘face’ clashed against Daisy’s soft cheek, giving her the best he could give similar to a kiss.
Ruggie was fuming.
“Alright, that's enough! Get back here you sneaky little–” as he tried to grab the small being he quickly jumped from Daisy’s shoulder, jumping around the botanical garden and running away from the hyena beastman. “You– Daisy!” Ruggie pointed at her, making her flinch from surprise. “Once I get back be prepared to give me all your attention, I don't want to see that thing close to you no more!”
“I– ok?”
And with that he ran off in search of his tsum, making Daisy laugh out loud. Who knew two Ruggies could cause such chaos.

On the house
a/n: this was fun to write!!! Fun Fact: I actually wrote this when I was first starting to post about daiggie, and I completely forgot this fic existed until today when I was bored scrolling through my wip... So I went and finished it lol
cw: oc x canon (Daisy x Ruggie)
words: 953
“There ya go, one chocolate milkshake, one strawberry milkshake, one omelet and one vanilla cake with an orange juice!” said Ruggie as he quickly and carefully laid all said items on the table, remembering exactly which one was who’s. “Anything else?”
“No, I think we’re good for now. Thank you, Ruggie-senpai.” Daisy smiled at him and he gave her a wink as he smiled.
“Ok! Call me if ya need me, fresh meat.” He said, referring to the group of freshmen, but before he walked away to take someone else's order, he quickly looked at Daisy and added: “oh, Daisy: ya can just call me Ruggie.”
With that, he was gone, off to look after another customer in the Mostro Lounge as Daisy couldn't contain her smile. She began to drink her chocolate milkshake until she noticed a pair of eyes staring at her. She lifted her head only to see Ace drinking his own strawberry milkshake, eyes stuck on her.
“What?”
“When are you two just going to start dating and be done with it?”
Daisy choked on her milkshake, Grim lightly hitting her back to help her as Deuce stopped eating his omelet to try and somehow help his friend. After a while, when the girl finally was able to regain her posture, she breathed in and out and glared at Ace with annoyance, while he continued unfazed.
“W-what are you talking about?” She asked, telling Grim she was alright.
“Please. You two can barely keep your eyes off each other. It's irritating.”
“I think they're perfectly fine.” Deuce said, finally going back to his omelet and Ace just rolled his eyes.
“You wouldn't know when people are into each other, you're too dumb for that.”
“Hey–”
“Guys, please.” Daisy said, catching both of their attention. She looked at Ace one more time, her fingers playing with the straw in her milkshake. “Ace, do you– do you think he– I mean…”
“Yes, he likes you. He makes it painfully obvious too, I'm shocked you didn't notice until now.” Ace answered and Daisy felt her cheeks growing warmer, so she went back to drinking her milkshake to distract herself.
“You mean Ruggie’s got a crush on Daisy?” Grim asked, his mouth full with cake. He finished swallowing his food and started thinking, a paw on his chin. “Now that you said it… he does show up often throughout the day.”
“T-that’s just because he’s busy doing odd jobs and errands for Leona-senpai all around campus. It's natural he gets to see us often…” Daisy tried to make up an excuse, not believing the idea that Ruggie would like her of all people.
“Actually, now that I think of it… I’m pretty sure you mentioned Bucchi-senpai coming to Ramshackle fairly often, no?” Deuce questioned and Daisy tried denying it once again.
“H-he just needed my help with some stuff recently! That's why he shows up!”
“Daisy. He told you to stop using honorifics.” It was Ace’s turn to give his own piece of evidence.
“We’re friends! Wouldn't it be strange if  I called you ‘Ace-san’? It's the same thing!”
“Who’s friends?” Ruggies sudden voice made itself known and all of them flinched, realizing the topic of the conversation was here at this moment. Ruggie lifted an eyebrow at that. “You guys ok or?”
“Y-yeah, we’re fine, senpai, no need to worry! Right, Ace?” Deuce tried, nudging Ace to cooperate, and with a heavy groan the ginger nodded.
Ruggie didn't look convinced, but he let the topic die. Then, he laid a plate with a slice of a kind of pie in from of Daisy, making the girl look at him despite her red cheeks.
“Is this for us?” Grim’s mouth watered looking at the food, but Ruggie prevented him from getting any closer to the plate, making the small cat-like creature grumble.
“It's for Daisy. A pumpkin pie, and don't worry, it's on the house.”
“On the– wait, no, you don't need to, seriously, this will get you in trouble with–” Daisy tried to give him the plate back but Ruggie denied it.
“Azul owed me something.” Ruggie smirked at the idea. “I asked him for a free slice of pie in return. Simple as that.”
Daisy's eyes went back to the pie. It was her favorite flavor… Why was he doing that to her anyway? He couldn't possibly gain anything from it so… why? She couldn't understand.
Ah… her face felt ever warmer now.
“But there's always a price.” Ruggie grinned. “I need help with some chores this Friday. You better be at the Mirror Chamber at 5.”
“Chores?” She mumbled, a bit confused. Still, she knew how Ruggie worked, and she was used to doing chores around Ramshackle, — and back in her own world — so she’d be fine, but… “why do you need my help?”
The beastman's ears twitched as he looked away with an awkward laugh. Ace side eyed Daisy and Deuce simply looked curiously at the interaction while Grim was back at devouring his piece of cake. It felt awkward for a bit, Ruggie didn't really have a proper answer for her question, which only made the small hope in Daisy’s heart grow.
“Because.” He gave up, deciding to end the subject as he heard another customer asking for his service. “Enjoy your pie. See ya on Friday.”
With that, the four of them were left alone once again, and Daisy started poking at the pie while failing to contain a giddy smile. She cut herself a bite sized piece and brought it to her mouth, enjoying everything about it.
It was one of the best pumpkin pies she had tasted in a while.
“Have fun on your date.”
“It's not a date!”

"Happy 100th anniversary"
a/n: this is soooo self indulgent please. It's a vignette (written only in dialogue) for Daisy's (my Yuu) birthday jacket card that I just made! I'll be linking it here once I edit this post!
cw: oc x canon (Ruggie x Daisy; they're established to be in a relationship and Daisy has already made her decision to stay in twisted wonderland); dialogue heavy; poor attemps at making this look like a fake translation from a vignette bc I'm delulu
The template for the frames of the paintings can be found here.
Words: around 1k
Happy birthday, Daisy!!
Tumblr media
Daisy: To think I'm able to visit a museum like this! I wonder what sort of paintings I'm going to see…
Daisy: I'm expecting to maybe recognize a few from the stories mom used to read to me… let's see if I actually can recognize them!
Tumblr media
Daisy: I wonder… is she someone I'm aware of? A lady who constantly cleans her house…
???: That's the princess who inspired the glass slippers you always wear.
Daisy: Huh? Oh, Ruggie! I thought you were all the way on the other side of the museum!
Ruggie: I was, but then I met Trey and we kinda ended up wandering around until I got here.
Ruggie: What a coincidence that I found you looking at the painting of the lady who inspired your favorite shoes, shishishi~
Daisy: I guess it is a fun coincidence. Oh, right! Would you mind explaining more about her to me?
Ruggie: Fine! But don't go walking around telling people I've gone soft…
Daisy: No need to worry, I wouldn't even dream of it.
Ruggie: *sigh* anyway… This lady is the princess that inspired your shoes, do you know the story behind it?
Daisy: Sam only explained to me that the princess who wore them danced with them until midnight… so I guess I don't know much more than that.
Ruggie: Right. Legend says she was an orphan who was forced by her stepmother to become basically a servant.
Ruggie: She cleaned the house all day everyday, was forced to hear awful things by her step family and when she wanted to go to a ball her stepsisters tore down her dress.
Ruggie: A Fairy Godmother – well, her Fairy Godmother – decided to help her get to a ball, she gave her a gown, a carriage and everything!
Ruggie: the Prince fell in love with her almost immediately and when she ran away and left her glass slipper fall, he tried it on every lady in the kingdom to find out who his beloved was. Then they got married and she never saw her family again.
Daisy: That’s basically the story of Cendrillon.
Ruggie: What? Oh– one of the fairytales from your world?
Daisy: Yes. I’ve always admired her story, I reread it a lot growing up because I related to her.
Ruggie: Ah… you did say your stepmother treated you horribly.
Daisy: She… treated me as best as she could.
Ruggie: Which wasn't anywhere near good enough.
Daisy: Haha… I guess you're right.
Daisy: What I mean is just… she treated me badly, but I don't hold grudges.
Daisy: Whatever she's doing, I forgive her. And now that I'm somewhere better and living a happier life… I hope that her and her children manage to grow as people.
Daisy: That's what my mother taught me.
Ruggie: …sometimes I really do wonder how I fell for such a goody-goody.
Daisy: W-what’s that supposed to mean?
Ruggie: I’m just saying, you're way too naive and nice to forgive someone like that.
Ruggie: if it were me, I’d never forgive them. No way someone's gonna step all over me and I'll forgive them.
Daisy: because that's exactly what you did to Leona-senpai, huh?
Ruggie: besides the point.
Tumblr media
Daisy: Ruggie, isn't this painting depicting that story you told me about? The ones about the dogs sharing spaghetti?
Ruggie: Oh, that one, yeah! I didn't know they actually painted the scene, who would've thought.
Daisy: They're so adorable, I see now how romantic this is.
Ruggie: I guess? It's still just spaghetti…not only that but it's outside in the middle of the night. I guess for dogs it would be cool but for people? I’d honestly just be excited because it's free food.
Daisy: Oh, come on now! This is super romantic! It's a candlelight dinner under the night sky!
Daisy: If someone did that for me, I know I’d be pretty happy and satisfied.
Ruggie: You’re just trying to convince me to ask you on a date, aren't you?
Daisy: …
Ruggie: Should’ve figured, shishishi!
Daisy: You can't blame a girl for trying, I’ve been pretty lonely these past few weeks since you’ve been working more than usual.
Daisy: But jokes aside, this right here is already enough. I’m already way less lonely just by walking around this museum with you, it's practically a date!
Ruggie: I don't think a date would consist of everyone from our school coming with us…
Daisy: You get what I mean…
Ruggie: Tell you what, once we get back I’m cooking us both some spaghetti and lighting some candles if that's what you’d like.
Ruggie: If my flower is feeling lonely then I better give her a proper date so she can feel loved, right?
Daisy: You really don't have to… but thanks. I would love to.
Tumblr media
Ruggie: Ah, this one's actually a very famous painting, I’ve seen pictures of it around quite often.
Daisy: R-Really…?
Ruggie: What? You don't believe me?
Ruggie: It ties with Sunset Savannah’s history and with The King of Beasts’s story!
Daisy: Well, forgive me for not understanding the historical significance of a monkey holding a lion cub…
Ruggie: *sigh* Alright. Lemme explain.
Ruggie: This is a ceremony often done by members of royalty when a new child from the royal family is born.
Ruggie: It goes so far back even the lions from The King of Beasts’s story did that. They basically present the baby to everyone else in the kingdom… it's kinda hard to explain.
Daisy: Oh, I get it now!
Daisy: I see why it's so famous, seeing how it portrays an aspect of the royalty of Sunset Savannah.
Ruggie: Eh… I never went to one, as you can imagine.
Daisy: Never? Is it not open to the common folk?
Ruggie: Well yeah, but back when there was one for who I now know is Leona-san's nephew, I was trying to survive.
Ruggie: I didn't have the time to go to a ceremony just to watch a new baby I didn't care about being presented to the whole kingdom.
Ruggie: I’d learn about him regardless, so I just didn't care much.
Daisy: I guess that makes sense.
Daisy: Still, it must be super interesting to see it happening. How cute would it be to see a baby cub being shown to the entire world just like that, hahah!
Ruggie: Ah– sorry, before I got here I told Leona-san I’d go fetch something for him at the cafeteria in a few minutes… if I don't go now he’s gonna be pissed.
Daisy: Why didn't you tell me sooner?!
Ruggie: Well, ya know– it's impossible to resist spending time with you~
Daisy: Alright there, Romeo, enough! Go before he gets upset. I'll be looking around this area for a while more if you want to come back.
Ruggie: *sigh* ‘kay, I'll be off then!
Tumblr media
Daisy: Hm? Ah, this is another painting of Cendrillon.
Daisy: She looks so much free... I'm happy she got her happy ending.

The ring.
Ruggie x oc (Daisy)
cw: uhhhh idk I don't think there's any here? I guess the only warning would be oc x canon content maybe
a/n: yeah I went crazy with this one,,, I wrote this like sooooo long ago and decided to finally post it!!! :>
Words: 2k
“I'm home.” Ruggie said, taking off his shoes and stretching his arms. His ears twitched at the sound of footsteps getting closer fast, was his grandma running? He told her to take it easy…
They continued to get louder until the familiar face of his girlfriend showed up at the end of the hallway, a big grin on her face as she looked at him and he stared at her in shock and confusion.
“Don't just stand there, give me a hug!” Daisy joked, opening her arms right after, and Ruggie ran towards her, holding her tightly in his arms and nearly making them fall in the process. The blonde laughed at him and kissed his shoulder.
“When did you get here? I thought you would come to visit next week.” he separated himself from her, but kept her in his arms, his hands caressing her face as she leaned into his touch.
“I decided to make a surprise.” Daisy smiled. “Mozus told me I could visit you guys sooner, especially since I've been planning to move to Sunset Savannah so…”
“I still can't get over the fact that Mr. Trein basically adopted you.” Ruggie laughed at the memory. “Don't call him by his first name, it feels weird.”
“Well, he asked me to so we'd get closer, and I like calling him that. So get used to it, will you? He’ll be your 'father-in-law' one day.” Daisy stood on her tiptoes and gave him a quick kiss, Ruggie chuckled.
Father-in-law, huh…
“I see you two are catching up already.” Granny Bucchi stood at the end of the hallway, hand on her mouth as she laughed at the couple in front of her.
“Grammy, how long have you been there?” Ruggie complained, embarrassed, separating himself from Daisy but still holding her hand, as if if he let go she would run away.
“Enough time, enough time… now come, my dears, dinner’s ready!” The old woman slowly but surely made her way to the kitchen, as Daisy ran to help her walk and Ruggie followed behind with a smile on his face. He couldn't believe his two favorite people in the entire world were with him right now…
“Don't worry, Ruggie, I brought all the food with me. I basically forced granny Bucchi here to not waste anything from your stock.”
“Oh, nonsense, I would’ve gladly used our food to make a meal for my grandson’s girlfriend.” She said as she pinched Daisy’s cheeks, making the girl giggle. “You deserve every inch of it.”
“Don't waste your breath, Grammy… Daisy never listens.” Ruggie teased after pulling her and his grandma’s chair, letting them sit down first. Daisy stuck her tongue out to him in a childish manner, and the whole room was filled with laughter and joy as they ate a wonderful meal together.
Truly, this was heaven.
•••
“Sorry ‘bout that, we really don't have any other rooms… not a big house, as you’ve seen…” Ruggie apologized as he helped Daisy set her baggage in his room, the blonde followed him suit, embarrassed to have to go to sleep in the same room as him.
“That's totally fine, really. There's no need to apologize.” Ruggie gave her a soft smile, going to his small wardrobe and taking out a thin sheet, setting it on the floor as a makeshift bed. “Wha- love, what are you doing?”
Ruggie’s ear twitched at the affectionate nickname. “Preparing a place for me to sleep. You can sleep on my bed, I don't mind.”
“What? No, you don't need to do that! We can just sleep together.” Daisy said, matter of factly, but after Ruggie stared at her with his eyes widened, she blushed and looked away, finally realizing the meaning of her words. “I mean- I-I mean literally sleeping! I wou-wouldn’t want you to sleep on the floor at your own house!” Daisy fidgeted with her fingers as Ruggie’s eyes softened and he started to chuckle. “O-or if you're not comfortable I could sleep on the floor…”
“That's out of the question.” Ruggie said, then, he folded the sheet once again, setting it aside and grabbing his girlfriend’s hands. “Sure. Let's sleep together, if you're ok with it.”
Daisy still refused to make eye contact, but nodded, squeezing his hands in return. Ruggie smiled at her and guided her to his bed, telling her he would change in the bathroom and that she could have the room to herself so she could change and they could go to sleep. With that, he left with a few clothes, leaving Daisy alone in his room.
After the girl got changed, she sat on his bed, waiting for Ruggie to return. She looked around his room, it was small, somehow very similar yet very different to his former room at NRC… she looked at his worn down night stand, smiling at a picture of him as a child and his grandma. She giggled at how cute he was as a child, he really did grow up to be such an incredible man.
She tilted her head, seeing something with a velvet texture behind the frame. Carefully, she grabbed the object, realizing it was a box, and her heart started beating at the sight of it. Why would Ruggie have a velvet box in his room? Could it be-
No. She mustn’t get carried away.
Well… but there wasn't harm in making sure, right? She opened the box carefully, scared it could somehow break. Daisy's brown eyes widened in shock as she gasped, a hiccup following it right after.
Inside, there stood a small golden ring, very simple, with a few details adorning it. There was no jewel, but it was beautiful regardless, its simplicity being enough to make Daisy’s heart skip a beat.
Wha- was Ruggie- no. They were so young still, he couldn't- he probably didn't- I mean-
Another hiccup.
“Daisy.” Ruggie’s voice was heard from behind the door and the girl immediately put the box right where she found it. She started fanning herself to calm down and to make the obvious blush on her cheeks go away. “Can I come in?”
“Yes–” she hiccupped again and Ruggie laughed as soon as he got in.
“You’ve got hiccups?” Daisy nodded, looking away from him and staring at her hands. She couldn't face him after seeing what she saw. “You want me to bring you a cup of water or?”
“N-no, I'm alright–” another one. She put her hand in her mouth as she frowned.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes. Let's just go to sleep.”
With that, Ruggie decided to let the subject die, climbing onto his bed and laying down with Daisy by his side. They laid a bit far from each other, — or as far as they could, given that just like the house, Ruggie’s bed was very small — Daisy fidgeting with the blanket and looking in the opposite direction from where Ruggie was. The man in question looked at his girlfriend in confusion.
“Why are you so far away?”
“I'm not.” Another hiccup. Ruggie chuckled and grabbed her face gently, making her look at him.
“Come on, we’ve cuddled before.” The hyena beastmen opened his arms and Daisy stared at him, her cheeks flustered. She slowly got closer to him, making herself comfortable in his arms, and basically melting into him as he started playing with her hair. “Why are you so nervous? If you're uncomfortable I can sleep on the floor. I really don't mind.”
“It's not that.” she said, squeezing him tight as she glanced at his night stand. “I… Ruggie, c-can I ask you something?”
“Anything ya want.”
“What… what's up with the ring on your night stand?” Ruggie’s hand stopped moving and scratching her head, he was frozen as he realized he was caught red handed.
“Uh… what ring?”
“Ruggie.”
“Alright, alright, you got me!” He said, rolling to lay on his back as Daisy stayed where she was, staring at the beastman laying next to her. His cheeks were red and he looked extremely nervous, his ears couldn't stop moving and Daisy smiled, he looked really cute. “I… I bought that a few months ago…”
“Months?!” Daisy sat down on the bed, looking down at him in shock. “You had it for months?”
“I wanted time to think about how I would ask you, ok?” He pouted, his blue eyes staring at her. “I've been saving for it ever since I left NRC, I figured I’d want to buy one one day so I could ask for your hand…”
“Right after– you're crazy.” Daisy chuckled nervously, a hand on her mouth trying to hide her sheepish smile.
“A guy needs a plan to live, ok? Is it that surprising to think about marriage when you’ve been dating for years? And it's not like I was gonna propose right after school, I just wanted to plan ahead.” Ruggie defended himself. “I had a whole plan to do it as well… now it's all ruined.”
“No, it's not.” the blonde said, laying on the bed again as she tried to encourage him. “You can still do it. What did you have in mind?”
“Well…” Ruggie started, looking at the ceiling as to avoid the woman’s gaze. “My plan was to cook you something nice when you visited next week…”
“You were gonna ask me next week?”
“Can I finish?” Ruggie looked at her as he chuckled and Daisy just pouted at him. “I would sneak the box in your pocket or your purse and wait until you found it just to mess with you a bit, so once you opened it I would do the whole cringy stuff of getting on one knee and blah blah blah–”
“It's not cringy, it's romantic! And even in your proposal you can't be normal, huh?” She joked and Ruggie turned his body to her as she laughed, a smile on both of their faces. “It's a cute idea though… you can still do it, you know.”
“Of course I can't, you found out about the ring and about my plan, it's not going to be genuine anymore…” Ruggie sighed, closing his eyes in defeat. Daisy caressed his cheek, her thumb moving in circle motions making Ruggie purr.
“Isn’t there another way to fix the situation? I do want you to ask me.”
Ruggie opened his eyes, his gaze locked with hers for a moment, until a mischievous grin formed on his lips. Daisy knew there was something up the moment he looked at her, but it was too late, a second later the man had moved on top of her, hands holding her wrists as he pinned her down, a smirk on his lips as he moved his face closer to hers.
“Well… I mean, there might be.”
Daisy hiccupped. Again. She thought it had gone away… Ruggie’s eyes widened in surprise as he giggled and she looked away, embarrassed by herself. His hand moved towards her chin, making her look at him, his clawed finger resting on her lip.
“Eléa.” He tried, and hoped that his pronunciation was correct this time, just this one time he wanted to say her name without mistakes… “I want to marry you.” The blonde held her breath. “So… will you?”
Hiccup. Ruggie laughed and Daisy told him to stop as she hiccupped again. In annoyance, Daisy managed to free herself from him only to grab his neck and force him to move closer to her face, kissing him right there. It wasn't very long, wasn't necessarily deep either, but it was full of love and affection, a demonstration of what she actually wanted to tell him, that she’d go absolutely anywhere as long as he promised to go with her. After all, he was her home.
“Yes.” She whispered between kisses. “I will.” She locked their gazes once they were separated, both flustered but extremely happy, and she held him close for a hug, which he reciprocated right away, giving her small kisses on her shoulder.
“Wait–” he murmured as he gently separated himself from her and got up. Daisy sat on the bed, looking as the beastman grabbed the box and sat down next to her. He opened it, getting her left hand and putting the ring on her finger, smiling stupidly at it. “I guess we’re engaged now.”
“It seems so.” Daisy giggled, admiring her ring and gently passing a finger over it. “It's perfect.”
“Please. You deserve better.”
“No, I love it.” She reassured him, giving him a quick kiss. “We need to tell your grandma about this tomorrow, and Leona too, and Jack and Ace, Deuce, Grim and–”
“Shh, I get it, I get it. Let's just sleep now, ok? I want my fiancée all to myself for now.”

Confrontation.
a/n: ever since I went back to catch up with the Savanaclaw manga I had book 2 daiggie brainrot UGHHH– I can't escape them, I'm always thinking about them😔 so here💔
cw: oc x canon (Ruggie x Daisy)
Words: around 1k
“Ruggie Bucchi.” Ruggie’s ears twitched at the sound of his name, his head moving towards the people walking in his direction. He clicked his tongue upon seeing the familiar faces of the same group who had trespassed Savanaclaw’s territory the other day. “We need to talk.” He observed as the blonde girl said, crossing her arms and standing tall in front of him, the others right behind or beside her.
He looked at her carefully, then to the other guys around her, and chuckled, a smirk following right after as his eyes met hers again.
“Sorry, I’d love to give you my full attention, flower, but maybe when we’re alone?” He joked, knowing the magicless girl would have a funny reaction just like she did when he teased her during their Spelldrive match. Her eyebrows furrowed and her cheeks went red, but she stood her ground. That he respected.
“Concerning the state of injuries that have befallen prospective Spelldrive tournament players,” The housewarden of Heartslabyul interrupted, making Ruggie's attention be diverted to the redhead. “we’d like to ask you a few questions.”
“Mind stepping outside real quick?” Cater continued and Ruggie made a face at that. This wasn't good… he needed to do something fast.
“Alright, I get it. How ‘bout we stop with the threats?” He got up, his ears twitching anxiously as he followed the group outside. He glanced at Riddle's magical pen.
That could work.
“Alright.” Riddle said. “To make sure we won't have any inconveniences, I’ll be casting my Unique Magic to–”
“Ah, you sure about that, Riddle-kun?” Riddle's eyebrow raised at that as Ruggie’s smirk got wider. Daisy looked at him suspiciously. “You shouldn't be casting spells without a mage stone, should you?”
Suddenly, the group began searching for their magical pens, only for Ruggie to reveal them in his hands.
“You guys surely had a privileged upbringing, huh? Emptying your pockets was child’s play.” He laughed, Grim pointed his little paw at him with annoyance.
“When did you use your magic to do that?!” The cat-like monster asked.
“As if I’d need magic to do something like this.” Ruggie turned around, waving with his free hand at the group. “Sorry, I don't really like being beat up black and blue so bye-bye!”
“Hold it, you thief!” Daisy called, looking at Grim with a frown. “Grim, come on, let's go!” After she said that, she took off, Grim right behind her as Riddle and Cater found Ace and Deuce, ordering them to follow the hyena beastman if they wished to be a part of the Spelldrive teams.
‘Those selfish morons’, was what Daisy thought, but she couldn't waste time laughing at her friends or looking fondly at them, right now, she had a thief to catch!
…Except he was incredibly fast, and was able to think quickly when taking a detour to slow them down. Daisy wasn't exactly athletic, and at this rate, if she didn't think of something, they’d lose him from sight!
Her brown eyes diverted to a corner, she quickly stopped Deuce and asked: “does this lead to the Courtyard?”
“Huh? Yeah, but why– hey, prefect!” Deuce called before the girl took off down that path, running as quickly as her legs let her. She had memorized the school at this point, Ruggie seemed to be heading towards the courtyard, she couldn't be 100% certain but if she wanted to catch him she needed to take risks.
She could never outrun him, not even in her best dreams, but she could use a shortcut.
Ruggie looked behind him as he reached the courtyard, he couldn't even see the guys following him anymore. He smirked and played with the magical pens, throwing them in the air and catching them with ease, pleased with himself.
They weren't anywhere near his level,  he had way too much experience running away from people, of course those privileged kids would never–
The beastman fell to the ground as something – someone – pushed him. His back hit the floor as he groaned in slight pain, the magical pens hitting the floor. His wrists were being held by a pair of hands and on top of him was the same pair of brown eyes he had mocked earlier.
The prefect of Ramshackle dorm.
“I pinned you, thief!” She smiled victoriously, her breathing heavy from how much she ran. She frowned at the boy underneath her, her grip on his wrists tightening as he seemed to widen his eyes in surprise. “Now–” she paused to breathe for a moment. “–you’re gonna cooperate and answer our questions. Am I clear?”
Her eyes seemed to pierce through his soul, and despite the situation, Ruggie couldn't help but feel like he'd seen her before. He was so sure he had met her before somewhere, it was the same when he first met her in the botanical gardens looking for Leona, when he had stolen her furball’s sandwich, and every other time they’ve interacted. Not only that, her touch on his wrist felt familiar. Like he had felt it before. But he couldn't have seen her, she wasn't from Twisted Wonderland.
But why the heck was he letting himself be guided by all these thoughts right now?! Wake up, you idiot!
“Alright, alright, I get it, let me up!” He complained, ignoring how fast his pulse was beating. He furrowed his eyebrows as he huffed in annoyance. “You win, princess, I’ll cooperate.”
The girl seemed to ponder whether to trust him or not, staring at him hesitantly. Still, she nodded, seemingly trusting him finally, and letting his wrists go free.
And that was her mistake.
Soon enough, her back was against the ground, the hyena staring down at her with that annoying smile of his. “Pinned ya.”
Daisy clicked her tongue, trying to get out of his grasp in annoyance, but he quickly moved close to her face, making her hold her breath and stop moving, her cheeks growing red and her heart beating by the sudden proximity. Ruggie chuckled. She was so easy to tease.
“Do me a favor, next time you try to catch someone, make sure you at least have evidence.” With that, the boy got up, running away from the Courtyard as he heard footsteps approaching, leaving Daisy on the ground, dumbfounded.
“Daisy!” Grim called, making Daisy come back to reality and sit down, looking at her cat-like friend. “What happened, did he hurt you? If he hurt my hench human I’ll–”
“Ah, prefect–” Ace interrupted, crouching down near her level and pointing to his own ears. “Where are your earrings?”
As Daisy blinked, her hands quickly moved to her earlobes, realizing her late mother's pearl earrings were nowhere to be found. Her eyebrows furrowed and she got up, screaming at the direction Ruggie had gone.
“Come back here you coward! You thief! You– ugh!” She muffled a groan with her hands and Deuce and Ace eyed each other, shocked at the amount of frustration Daisy was displaying. The blonde looked at the both of them with determination. “Boys! We’re gonna catch those guys if it's the last thing we do!”

setting: after book 6; Rook and Daisy have been stablish to talking fully in french with each other
Words: 830+

“How long are you going to be upset at me?” Daisy sighed, staring at her boyfriend who was just sitting down beside her on a bench, playing with a dandelion he found. “I already told you, I don't like Rook, do you not trust me?”
Ruggie stayed quiet for a moment, before mumbling something. Daisy asked him to repeat it and he clicked his tongue, looking at her with his eyebrows furrowed.
“I do.” He said. “But I don't like how you're able to speak your native language with him and not me.”
Oh. That's the problem? Daisy chuckled, hand covering her mouth and Ruggie pouted.
“Ya think this is funny?”
“A little bit, yes.” Daisy looked at him with a soft smile, petting his head as if petting a dog for being a good boy. “I can teach you a bit of french. Just some words or phrases.”
“Really?” Daisy didn't imagine Ruggie would get actually excited about the idea, tail wagging fast as his eyes seemed to shine. “Then what can ya teach me first?”
Daisy let out a small giggle before she started to think. Let's see… what was a good phrase or word she could teach him?
“Hyène. Repeat it after me.”
Ruggie rolled his eyes, able to recognize the word as soon as it left her mouth. He tried to pronounce it but his accent was plenty strong, making him have difficulty. Daisy shook her head, pointing at her lips and telling him to look closely at how she moved her mouth, then, she spoke the word slowly, trying her best to exaggerate the movements so Ruggie would have an easier time. Ruggie tried again, and Daisy clapped her hands, making him laugh.
“See? Easy.”
“That was one word. Also congratulations on being so original.” Daisy stuck out her tongue for him childishly. “How can I say your name?”
“My name?”
“I still can't pronounce your given name no matter how hard I try. So teach me.”
Daisy's face went a bit pink, she scratched her neck, a bit embarrassed, before nodding and telling him to look closely as she spoke her name.
“Eléa Carbonneau.” Ruggie frowned, and Daisy laughed. “Alright, one more time, slower: Eléa. Carbonneau.” Ruggie stared at her lips for a long time, making her a bit shy, but she tried acting as if it didn't affect her.
“Elea–”
“The ‘e’ is more accentuated, my love.”
“Eléa.”
“That's it.” She smiled at him. “Now my last name: Carbonneau.”
“Car– why is your name so difficult and long?”
“Just repeat it.” Ruggie rolled his eyes, asking her to say it one last time, and she did, slowly, until Ruggie nodded and tried:
“Carbonneau.” His pronunciation could get better, especially where he needed to accentuate the tone, but it was good for a beginner, and she was happy that one of the few words he learned is the right pronunciation of her name.
“That's it! You got it!” Ruggie playfully bowed as Daisy pretended to cheer, telling him how good he was for a beginner, and he gave her that sweet and wonderful laugh of his, making her heart flutter. “Is there anything else you want to know?”
Ruggie pondered for a moment, before his cheeks went red. He looked at her as she tilted her head curiously.
“How can I say ‘I love you’?”
She froze. That's what he wanted to learn? ‘I love you’? She fidgeted with her fingers, trying to ignore the embarrassment and how fast her heart was beating, and slowly said:
“Je t'aime.”
Ruggie stayed a moment looking at her, staring even, and gave her a smile.
“How can I say ‘you’re mine’?”
Daisy chuckled, looking away embarrassed, but still said:
“Tu es à moi.”
“Your language is quite dramatic, flower.”
“That's because you're making me say dramatic things.” She laughed and Ruggie followed, they ended up laughing for a while, both a bit embarrassed but happy nonetheless. After Ruggie dried a tear that had fallen from how much he laughed, he looked at the girl who was still giggling, and tried:
“Je t’aime.” Daisy immediately stopped, looking at the boy in shock. He pronounced it incorrectly, but she understood what he meant. “And the other was…?
“Tu es à moi.”
“Tu… es à moi?” He laughed, yet his eyes didn't leave hers, and Daisy couldn't help but stare, her heart beating faster than ever. “It's a bit dramatic, but I like it. Next time you see Rook tell him you belong to me.”
Daisy smiled, her hand moving to caress his cheek. He leaned into her touch, kissing the palm of her hand.
“I don't think he’ll care but… alright.” Ruggie looked at her for a moment, before reaching for her hair, and making the dandelion he had been holding stuck to it, behind her ear. Daisy touched the flower, her other hand falling to her lap as she smiled at her boyfriend.
“There. Now everyone will know you're already taken.”
“I don't think that's how it works, Ruggie.”
“Oh shush, let a man live.”

"Sewing Kit"
Tumblr media
Summary: after Grim ruined Ruggie's clothes during his and the prefect's (forced) Spelldrive practices, Daisy decides to make up for it by sewing his clothes.
a/n: once again gonna post this and ignore this acc for like months bc I'm embarrassed about posting this; also again you may read this as reader x ruggie, I don't mind
Tumblr media
"I already told you I can't pay you back with money, so you don't even come for me after all of this is finished."
"I offered to help because I wanted to help. I don't want anything from you, senpai." Daisy explained after sighing, continuing to sew one of Ruggie's clothes that had ripped a hole. Ruggie was going to sew it himself as he usually does, but since his clothes ripped because of Grim during the Spelldrive practice that Leona so kindly forced Daisy and Grim to participate, she took it upon herself to solve the issue. "If there must be a reason, think of it as me trying to make up for what Grim did."
"There's no need though…" Ruggie murmured under his breath, sitting on his bed and watching as the girl did her job efficiently and fast; he wondered where she learned how to sew, if perhaps it had been something she needed to learn like him, or if it was a hobby of hers.
He stared as the girl moved so elegantly and he wondered if she lied about her background. Even doing something so simple as sewing, Daisy still carried herself like a princess. If he didn't know any better, Ruggie would've sworn she was royalty from another country.
He shifted his gaze to her fingers: small, delicate, with a handful of calluses. His eyes went up to her arms, then her neck, and finally her face; round brown eyes looked carefully at her job, frowning ever so often whenever she messed up.
Ruggie contained a laugh, but not his smile, and soon enough, when Daisy looked up, she caught his stare. Ruggie cleared his throat and looked away as Daisy chuckled.
The prefect seemed to finish sewing, smiling happily at her work and showing it proudly to the hyena beastman with a smile.
"See? Good as new." She said, and Ruggie couldn't help but chuckle at how proud she was for doing something so simple.
Being delighted by simple things, Ruggie noticed, was a common occurrence for Daisy. Smiling at a simple plate of food, laughing at a simple joke Grim told her, thanking Leona for the simple act of letting her stay in the dorm… she enjoyed the simple things.
Ruggie would never say it out loud, but he admired that in her.
The blonde looked around, searching for a pair of scissors to cut the string. Ruggie was able to get up so he could get her one, but Daisy seemed to find her own way of cutting that string: using her teeth.
She got her face close to his shirt, putting the string between her teeth and snapping it with them, wrinkling her nose in the process. Her canines weren't sharp, at least not as much as his, but that action made him blink at her in surprise, the very motion so confident, he felt his cheeks warm for a moment.
Wha- was he crazy? She literally just cut a string with her teeth. What about it??
"Are you ok there?" She asked, noticing how he stared at her in awe. Ruggie cleared his throat and took his shirt from her.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine. Thanks, I guess."
Daisy sighed. Well, she wasn't expecting much, but she was a tad disappointed at that reaction.
"Alright… you're welcome. Have a good night, Ruggie-senpai." She bowed slightly as she got up, making her way to the door of his room to go to sleep.
"Hey, uh-" Ruggie suddenly called and Daisy stopped, waiting patiently for what he had to say. "Let me walk you to Leona-san's room. We wouldn't want you accidentally pissing another Savannaclaw student off on your way there."
She rolled her eyes, starting to walk as he followed right behind her. "It's not my fault… I always apologize but you guys never seem to listen to what I have to say."
"Yeah, I guess that's a problem amongst the people here." Ruggie agreed, walking alongside her, noticing how small she looked wearing the clothes he decided to lend her so she could sleep in something that wasn't her uniform. They fit her almost perfectly, since he wasn't that much taller than her, but they were still a bit big, and Ruggie felt a sense of pride in having the prefect wear his clothes to walk around the dorm.
Even if it meant he had one less pair of clothes… oh well.
The two fell into a comfortable silence as they walked the corridors of the dorm; he shifted his gaze to her, noticing just how long her hair was, he saw the small mole resting just under her right eye, and he suddenly wondered what it would be like to touch it. He contained a small laugh at the thought; there was no way they were ever getting that close so she would be comfortable with him touching her face.
But… her hand perhaps?
Ruggie slowly extended his pinky, trying to touch her fingers, and after his claw and then his fingertip made contact with her hand, Ruggie couldn't help but notice how the girl flinched.
"Wh- what are you doing?" Daisy asked, but didn't move, she just looked at him, cheeks red and confusion written all over her face.
Ruggie let out an embarrassed laugh, putting his hand in the pocket of his pants. "Nah, I just wondered what your reaction would be if I grabbed your hand. Thought it'd be funny." He lied.
If Daisy noticed his facade, she didn't seem to comment on it, and soon they reached Leona's room. Ruggie waved at her and gave her a quick goodnight, before basically running back to his own room, ashamed of his poor attempt at holding the prefect's hand.
He threw himself on his bed, eyeing the shirt the girl was just sewing minutes ago. He groaned.
"Stupid… why'd you even think that would work…?"

"If I didn't know any better."
Tumblr media
a/n: when I tell you I'm like so seriously embarrassed about posting this LMAOJAKSJW I'm gonna post this once pretend I never did it and hide in my other acc just you wait-- welp, this is a very small scenario for my oc x canon, supposed to be the vignette story of the p.e. clothes for my oc. I understand that this kinda stuff is not everyone's cup of tea so if you're not into that pls just walk away ty. Also, you may change my oc's name for yours if you wish to read this as a reader x ruggie fic, I don't care much if I'm being honest
Tumblr media
Daisy sighed as she sat down on a bench, trying to catch her breath. Savannaclaw's morning training was no joke, it was way more intense than she could ever imagine… but then again, if they were the top of their school when it comes to Spelldrive — well, at least second to Diasomnia — then she guessed it shouldn't be a surprise. She grabbed a water bottle and drank most of it in practically one go, she was exhausted, and she still needed to get that picture for Azul… today was gonna be rough.
"You're already tired?" Ruggie's voice popped out of nowhere, making Daisy flinch at the sudden sound. She lifted her head and saw the beastman standing in front of her, his head tilted with a smirk on his face.
Daisy huffed as she frowned. "I'm not used to this training, you know?" She glanced at his arm for a second, her expression softening a bit. "...is your arm ok?"
"You're such a worrywart, I'm fine." Ruggie groaned, instinctively caressing his arm. "You should worry more about yourself, you know? You have a contract with Azul."
Daisy became quiet after that. It was no use trying to voice her worry for Ruggie's wellbeing, ever since Leona's overblot she has been checking up on him, worried about his health, but all she got was a groan and a 'worry about yourself, prefect, I'm perfectly capable of taking care of myself'. It was frustrating, but there was nothing she could do about it.
Ruggie sat down on the bench, taking her bottle from her hand despite her complaints and drinking from it. She sighed in defeat.
"So? You have a plan?"
"About my contract?" She thought for a second after he nodded. "Well, I'm… not really sure. I'm just gonna try and go to the museum, see how things are and if I get lucky I'll be able to get the picture."
Ruggie hummed but didn't say anything, so it became quiet between them, the only sounds being the students walking and talking occasionally, Grim almost picking up a fight with Leona who promptly ignored him, and Jack who sighed at the monster.
Daisy shifted her gaze to the side, taking a look at the guy sitting beside her. Ruggie was… annoying, she thought; he was self centered and seemed to know exactly what buttons to push to get on her nerves, yet… she found him intriguing. He tended to Leona and did exactly as he was told, but only if he could get something in return, he wasn't one for blind trust but, in a weird way, he seemed to really do trust Leona and his plan — well… until the lion beastman gave up, that is. He was hurt but he actively avoided getting help from anyone, it was almost as if he didn't believe that people would want to help him; he was annoying and had a way to piss her off, but he seemed to be way softer than he said he was, at least that's what she could gather by observing him for the past few days.
His ears were big, bigger than Leona's, rounder than Jack's… his eyes were a beautiful blue color and she noticed he had freckles all over his face; he was smaller and skinnier compared to the others in his dorm, but he was just as capable of handling himself during Spelldrive practices;
Daisy glanced at his lips for a moment, recalling his cheeky smile and how his eyes tended to smile together with it. It usually meant he was messing with her but… strangely enough, she couldn't help but think his smile was really pleasant.
"Are you done checking me out, prefect?"
Daisy's cheeks went red upon realizing he noticed her stare. The girl cleared her throat and looked away, scratching her neck, nervously.
"I wasn't checking you out, I was just- I was thinking." Well… she wasn't exactly lying, she was thinking.
"Sure you were." He teased, turning to look at her. "What were you thinking of? I saw you staring at my lips."
"I wasn't- I wasn't doing it on purpose, and I wasn't thinking anything like that." Daisy quickly said, trying to defend herself.
At that, Ruggie hummed and tilted his head, a smirk forming onto his features. "Like what?"
Gosh, he was insufferable.
Daisy decided she wouldn't answer. She couldn't let him get on her nerves.
"You just gonna ignore me now? Aw, you hurt me like that, Daisy."
"You really do enjoy annoying me, huh."
"Your expressions are priceless, so yeah." Ruggie laughed that signature laugh of his and despite the situation, Daisy felt the urge to laugh with him… was he using his spell on her or something? Ruggie seemed to catch the very small smile she was trying to contain, and smirked at her mischievously. "Is that a smile I see? Did I make you smile?"
"No." Daisy tried to contain herself, clearing her throat and covering her mouth.
"Worrying about me, staring at me, and now smiling at my teasing… you know, if I didn't know any better-" he paused, as if taking delight in her curious expression. "-I'd think you have a crush on me."
"A crush? On you?" Her eyes widened in pure shock, now letting a small, shocked and neevous chuckle escape. "Well, I'm all for believing in your dreams so if that's what you're dreaming of, go for it." She rolled her eyes, the smile being unable to contain at this point.
Truly, she was starting to question what was the matter with herself. Part of her was annoyed at his teasing and at the insinuation he just made, but another — a part that seemed to grow each day she spent in Ruggie's presence — seemed to weirdly enjoy it, like having him try to pick on her was fun somehow, like hearing his laugh was worth the frustration he made her feel.
Ruggie chuckled, and Daisy felt her ears turn pink. There it was, the confirmation that she truly was going crazy.
They both heard Leona call for the last training session, though he himself seemed to want it all to be over already. Both of them got up and Ruggie continued on his training as if their exchange never happened, and Daisy couldn't help but be a bit bothered by it.
There was nothing she could do though, not right now at least.

SHE LOOKS GORGEOUSSSSS
MAH, HER OUTFIT IS SO PRETTY!!
BESTIE, YOU OUTDID YOURSELF WITH THE ART AND THE VOICELINES👏🤩
I'm happy she got her happy ending.

cw: oc x canon (Ruggie x Daisy)
