Dominik, son of Rey Mysterio, grew up in the business. From a young age he wasn't entirely sure if wrestling was what he wanted to do. He did spots like football in high school, but he realized that it wasn't for him. Neither was any sport of going to college. With his dad's career and money, Dom didn't need to really have a job or an education. What he did want was to find something that was his own. That probably meant school which he tried and realized it wasn't for him.

He thought he could get away with not working. Dominik became bored after high school and not attending college. So he asked his dad to start taking him around the locker rooms. He told him that he was finally ready to do something he should've trained for from a young age. This lead to Dominik being involved with a storyline between his dad and big star at the time. He was scared shitless, but taking a Suplex City finisher before he actually debuted was a sign that maybe he actually enjoy it and wanted to chase after the wrestling dream. And he did. 2020 was a hard year, but it's when he debuted without a crowd and had a fun first storyline with The Messiah. Sure he got hit with a kendo sticks more times than he can count, but it was all worth it. It was then that he realized he made the right choice by following in his father's legacy.

Three years later and a heel turn, he's one of the top stars of WWE. Maybe not a top star, but at least he's top heel. He's in a position that he's very grateful for. He could've had no reaction after betraying his father. Thankfully everyone is pissed he hit the legendary Luchador and remind him every time he dares to speak with boos. Hey at least they're reacting! It could have gone the way he anticipated, no reaction at all. Since his debut, he has been Smackdown tag team champions with his deadbeat dad and two time NXT North American Champion. He does own half the credit of his success to the Judgement Day. Without them, Dominik isn't sure if he would have been as successful as he has been or even the MVP Shawn Michaels have recently called him. He can act as assholy as he wants on screen or says he dislikes him as much as does, but Dominik knows his dad taught him well and to appreciate all that he gets in life.
