💖 my f/os’ favourite media hcs:

🪬 is into experimental/noise music, follows with interest the emergence of japanoise genre, collects diy/independent records of underground bands. he is into naive art, collects works of outsider artists. he’s fun to visit contemporary art galleries with, though he comes overly prepared to explain (in great detail) just what the artist of a particular piece meant by it (might come off a bit snobbish).. but also he’s always interested in learning how art makes others feel, partially as a point of reference, - and will listen patiently. doesn’t like movies that much, as they might cause sensory overload - especially if seen in a crowded theatre.. 

🌙 loves his folk singers and his blues records.. he will not rest until i listen to his fave vinyls with him (and with proper reverence).. doesn’t watch movies much (usually has a nature documentary channel playing in the background as a soothing white noise) but can be persuaded to watch a particularly thrilling courtroom drama for example 

👾 genuinely enjoys big summer blockbusters, might even use plot points from a popular movie as examples in class to communicate the lesson’s concepts to teens easier sometimes :^) and yes, he will stop on the way back home from cinema to discuss themes and ideas - no matter if tonight’s show was a serious drama or a total popcorn fest.. has a couple of favourite bands he had been listening to since his youth and doesn’t mind never expanding his musical taste further (until i come along with mixtapes 😈). used to be an avid reader (of sci-fi in particular hehe) and wishes he had more time on his hands to read currently..

🗡 used to consume human media almost indiscriminately, and through that exposure (and great memory) can and will quote the classics. gets all his knowledge of earth from movies and tv.. as far as the music goes, likes it loud. would have a great time if you drop him off at a stadium rock show…

🐺 give him the aux, loves playing his mixtapes during long car rides, fan of 80s british pop and dance music, new wave as well.. will sing along. me and him have similar bad habit of buying books and putting off reading them, between our two temporary apartments a shared collection of unread literature grows slowly but steadily.. he has a soft spot for romcoms, watched a ton of them and will act out any scene that particularly touched him if prompted

🌻 often falls asleep in the early day hours with a medical drama playing on tv, likes older movies, one of his ideal date ideas is finding a working drive in movie theatre and watching some classic horror flick together from the comfort of his car (he doesn’t feel comfortable in ordinary movie theatres 😔).. he rather likes industrial/90s electronic music and has an extensive cd collection (sorted by year and country of origin etcetera. very meticulous)

♟listens to audiobooks and podcasts while working, has a wide range of themes that interest him (especially likes the recordings of lectures on biology, cybernetics and physics, follows scientific journals, likes to be updated on current events - but also keeps tabs on popular media trends to be able to get involved in small talk with human personnel)

might as well just rewatch jr’s scenes since i’ve been thinking about him nonstop these past few days 🙄
