the way i am introducing a brand new raretp @starbloomed​ and i have come up with and all it took was me taking random pictures with my friend’s eula. all it took was one good look at them and realize: “oh shit, their backgrounds are kind of similar and have a lot of common grounds, they should marry.”

patron of amends

it is not the most gratifying of works, but someone must oversee it. making amends is a tricky, slippery thing: they require sincerity and devotion, open ears and naked hearts. you cannot guarantee acceptance, only the sliver of time in which they can be seen and heard and attempt repentance. think of a festering wound and the healer that must clean and close it, plagued by the thought of underlying infection, amputation, certain death. consider of the likelihood of those terrors, but also: think of the injured at rest, then nursed back to full health and continuing to live a fruitful life. you are the god of tenderness and volatility, of intimate vulnerability and deep breaths, of searching for a safe place to land. god of misty eyes, god of the strength to still shaking hands, god of realizing wrongdoings and personal failures. defender of the prideful who are working towards humbleness, of sinners that will never again be entirely righteous. the one who blesses those fighting to make things right, falling onto swords and walking through fire if it can afford even just the smallest chance at forgiveness. the planter of the seed of closure, that will grow only when nurtured.

patron of promises

they call you naive: of all the things to be the patron of, you have tackled the most mercurial of things. promises can easily be reduced to empty words, the precursor to brokenness, and truly, you have seen so many end in such a way. but you have also seen promises be kept, whether expected to or not. in a way, the gamble of it all charms you the most. think of professions and vows screamed in guttural voices, of saying sweet things laced with uncertainty, of beautiful edifices built on unstable land, completely at the mercy of the quaking, crumbling earth. you are the god of the hopeful, of those struggling to find the good in their blackening hearts. the god of uncertain things, of saccharine words said with pure conviction. a refuge for defiant souls, shelter for those who make poor choices but have good intentions. god of oaths both broken and kept, god of sleeping early so that the new day can sooner begin, god of wonder. you string together the words filled with assurance and rain down belief, on both the promiser and the promised. the bringer of hope, however frayed and frail it may be.

@pcrdiseseekers​ : curled up by a hilltop, a general was found sleeping and holding onto his fluffy tail. canine ears twitched occasionally as he was fast asleep in his war attire. (gorou @ itto)

wouldn’t you know it, the one and oni   has caught quite a surprising sight! now, not to be the bragging type but itto was always quite proud of those sharp eyes and nose built better than any creature creeping amongst inazuma. how else would arataki “onikabuto legend” itto be able to catch those bad boys for upcoming, reeling matches?! surely not with sheer luck, alone! in fact, he was on the exact scavenge hunt throughout the outskirts of yashiori island until finding the doggy general of the resistance, soundly asleep. light surprise painted across his rough façade before snickering and crouching beside gorou, taking a closer look but being mindful as to not awaken the other.

for someone quite short in stature, itto’s heard dozen stories of heroic and self martyr deeds for the justice for the unsatisfied and unruly of their nation. truly, gorou was not one to be underestimated and the oni always preferred, respected even, people fighting for what they believe in, and yet ...  seeing such an adorable sight, almost felt like a sacred privilege not everybody can obtain. was itto one of those sakes? perhaps not, but he can keep secrets! for now, he’d sigh loudly and sit down with legs crossed as broad hands moved the little, wooden box filled aside with care.   ❛ jeez, doggy general, didn’t know i’d find you this defenseless... don’t you worry! arataki “sleeps with his eyes open” itto is here and i’ll keep ya’ safe! ❜   itto muttered under the breath, nodding to himself as if affirming to what he just said before feeling the effects of sleepiness, as well. there go the fuzzy feelings bursting inside his chest.

this guy sure wasn’t a people person. many would easily dismiss an oni’s remark, but itto could see through each and every individual with just one look in his eyes. sure enough, a leader must keep their eyeballs SQUEAKY CLEAN if they ought to find new members for their following! with that said, the taller of the two clearly couldn’t take “no” for an answer as evident by his boisterous laugh as hands pressed against his hips.  ❛ sorry, lil’ guy, but you’re not getting away that easily! let’s not forget what we agreed upon - ME helping you find traveler in exchange for a fight. i did my part of the deal, can’t have anythin’ slip by these hawk eyes of mine, now it’s YOUR TURN. ❜  

he’d huff and look down at xiao with one eye open as a serious demeanor paints across his already intimidating-looking exterior.  ❛ if you think i’m gonna forget that lil’ detail, you can forget it. we gotta keep it fair and square here, man, i’m sure you get it. i pack a meaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan punch, so don’t think it’ll be some kinda easy peasy, lemon squeezy fight. go ahead, gimme your best shot! ❜

after catapulting his trustee companion, ushi, off the cliffs onto bunch of measly treasure hoarders, itto stood right by the edge and looked down almost cartoonish low just to watch what’d he aimed for. having to aimlessly wander around looking for beetles is one activity but after bumping in the doggy general, who hunted the aforementioned group down for they stole the resistance’s supplies, the crimson oni’s competitive but kindhearted nature awoke and insisted to tag along. sure, the general left itto wary and oddly comforted which could explain his eagerness to spend more time with other but what other good, awesome hero wouldn’t jump in and done the same deed? of course, he let gorou’s praises get to his head. 

crimson eyes peered closer until noting his reliable ushi smashed the ugly crooks so hard they all knocked down which had the larger oni jump in spot and laugh joyously.  ❛ HE HIT ‘EM ALL! HAHA! that’s what i call a good bowling! check it out, doggy, come here come here! ❜  he’d usher gorou closer and point at the scene of crime, his eyes shining with excitement as his smile beams brighter than the sun, itself.  ❛ see?! what’d i tell ya’, when you’re sticking with me, you’re guaranteed to win in life. buuut, before you start throwing praises and thank you’s, let’s check it out! i can smell fresh mora all the way from heeeere, hahaaa, i’m buying dinner for the boys tonight, for sure. ❜

❛ hey, hey, heeeeeeey, kitty yuheng! there you are! ❜  as if on cue, keqing would find herself turning to find an oni storming his way through busy streets of liyue harbor and land right before her after pushing and pulling through the grumpy crowd. if mightiness could speak, it’d be through itto’s own laughs and confident poses.  ❛ didn’t think i’d find ya’, huh huh, huuuh, well guess what, i did! we’re gonna have our rematch, RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW! don’t whisk away now, hahahaaaaah! ❜   /  @starbloomed​ ... arataki itto for keqing!

from monie - “if you’re not going to be patient then maybe i should just take this gift back. or i don’t know, give it to shinobu instead. i think she’d like it, huh?” lumine already knew that she was being a bit unfair to the oni, pretending to sound stern against the oni’s obvious eagerness at a birthday present from the traveler. but it was her attempt of being the straight person in the duo. she had to do it constantly with paimon from time to time. though even if itto hadn’t picked up on it immediately ( because lumine knew he’d pick it up eventually ), lumine was only saying that to just try and get him to calm down just a little, fully intending to still give him a present for his birthday. knowing that an even more hyperactive itto was likely given that today was the oni’s birthday, the traveler wasn’t going to let up that easily. no matter how much she liked him or found him endearing.

still, lumine couldn’t keep up the act for much longer, her posture relaxing as a small smile spread across her face, playful exasperation as she finally pulled out the wrapped present that she had on her. while she had worked together in secret with mostly shinobu for a bit of a birthday feast for itto, as working with the rest of the gang could compromise the surprise element ( and maybe she just trusted shinobu more ), there was just one special thing she wanted to leave for itto. she made a set of charms for the oni to carry, all specialized to be unique to him; an onikabuto, bull horns ( for ushi ), and of course, a lavender melon. It was elements that made itto well, itto to her, and it truly made the gift more personal all the same.

“i’m only joking about giving the gift back,” lumine teases, her smile widening as she places the present in itto’s hands. “i made this for you. i made sure to make the most itto-esque gift that was befitting of inazuma’s own one and oni.” explaining with a nod, lumine allowed herself to smile in a bit of a prideful manner. “it’s also a way to have a bit of your numero two with you whenever i’m not around. i know i’ll always be part of the gang, but i still wanted you to have something physical, y’know? so make sure you take good care of it, okay?”

today was an important day!   not only was it the beginning of a new month, following by blazing summer days and relaxations guarantee but birthday for the one and oni, himself! frankly, he always felt it was rather symbolic to be born on the very first day of june given the importance of his existence but also just an exciting way to celebrate it. you don’t get to have such an occasion every single day so you have to give it all you’ve got, is what itto always believed. for that reason, today was the most hyper and energetic most people are used to: from making a ruckus with the boys by singing around ritou harbor and spending whatever mora he had from couple odd jobs he’d taken previously to singing as loudly as he could until the bozos from tenryou commission had to step in and question the “integrity of their festivities”. seriously, couldn’t they cut an oni some slack?! 

either way, the arataki gang had a freaking blast throughout the day. it was upon lumine and paimon’s ( or as itto liked to call her - lavender melon ) arrival that the hype only intensified. naturally, given his inviting nature, itto insisted for the outlander to arrive by an outskirt of hanamizaka where he and the boys, with shinobu’s help, arranged a party for their leader’s birthday. here, their newest guests would find boxes for onikabuto matches and card games to a little hill just behind cherry blossoms where you could sing alongside the birthday oni, himself, and even an array of sake and dishes made by yours truly! if anybody had a knack for organizing best parties even the almighty shogun could envy to, it’s arataki “another year of awesome adventures” itto! take that, yoimiya. 

the moment he spots the duo approaching, the oni smiled brighter than the sun itself and rushed to them with arms spread open and enclosing both of them in a tight, bear hug.  ❛ hey, hey, heeeeey, look who finally arrived! my numero dos traveler AND lavender melon! welcome to arataki gang’s very own “best and thrashing birthday bash”, made by yours truly! you got just in time for my musical performance. haha! c’mon c’mon, get over here already, suit yourself! ❜  he dragged lumine along which earned such teases which had the gargantuan oni pouting and slowing down, even loosening his grip. as hyper as he was, the consciousness was always active: the last thing he wants is to hurt people, after all.

well, the cat’s out the bag and itto was eventually given quite an unique gift, one that even slightly baffled the ever so prideful and boisterous leader himself: a set of charms crafted in three items everybody associated him with. hell, he couldn’t even choose a favorite with how nicely they were made! crimson eyes watched with genuine surprise, having never been given something this heart warming nor with the bottom of someone’s heart, before looking back at the shorter traveler. have a bit of his numero two with him whenever she isn’t around ... now, wasn’t this touching? itto needed a moment of silence to savor the glee in his gut. in his long life full of rough, almost traumatizing experiences, he couldn’t recall when someone remembered his overexaggerated lines. people always chalk it up as “just itto babbling dumb nonsense” or “another one of that oni’s ridiculous shenanigans”, but she didn’t do that: she always remembered his efforts and appreciated them, fully. it earned a full blown smile, but not the usual egocentric kind, no ... but one with genuine joy and appreciation. 

in one swoop, itto pulled lumine by his side as a laugh escapes his lips and a hand moves to gently ruffle her blonde locks.   ❛ hahahaaaaaah, lumine, you know your stuff, don’t ya’!? i mean, pffffff, this is the SECOND best gift i ever got, followed by yours truly own performance, duuuuh, but don’t you worry that pretty head of yours! itto’s gonna keep these so safe they won’t even be touched by the boys nor shinobu! not even granny oni can touch ‘em! nooooope, not on my watch! hear that, genta?! no touchy! ❜  he’d shout to one of his boys with slight glint of tease before pulling her along by the colorful drape where all sorts of food and drinks, sake included, awaited her.   ❛ here you go, i saved a special spot just for you, right next by me! ooooh, i even saved up this super spicy meal - prepared it myself, thank you very much - aaaaaand an onikabuto that took me three days and nights to catch so we can have our match after. what do you think, eh? isn’t this the greatest setup or what? c’mon, dig right up! we’re not stopping this event, baby! ❜   because how else can you live your life in the fullest if not with your most loved ones?

itto’s chest puffs in response to thoma’s dejections, not listening to the fixer for even slightest of seconds. when an oni decides on what to do, nothing can change its’ mind. what the leader says, goes - the golden rule he’d implement on his gang to ensure they’d be safe from actual danger. such is the same when dragging the other in hanamizaka district for a bowl of hotpot. to this day, the oni couldn’t understand what was so special about this ordinary-looking guy to get an ENTIRE CEREMONY thrown in HIS HONOR?! perhaps he wasn’t fully knowledgeable of the situation at hand or was actually ignorant of the grimness, but one thing’s for certain - his vision was no way stronger than YOURS OWN TRULY! 

❛ ahhhh, shaddap, would ya’?! i’m not doing this to be buddy-buddy with you, mister big deal outta’ nowhere! ❜  snaps the oni, attempting to appear intimidating but in reality, he just looked akin to a child throwing numerous tantrums over something they saw at the shop and demanded their parent to buy it. once finally reaching their destination, itto turns to look down at the other male with an intense, serious gleam in his crimson eyes.  ❛ you, me, bowls of hotpot, and i mean TOOOOOOOOOOONS of bowls! i may not get what made ya’ SPECIAL in the shogun’s eyes to be the 100th on that stupid ceremony, but we’re about to see which one of us’s durable which, pffft, helloooooo? if it ain’t obvious, it’s ME! loser has to put the mora on the bill, no sharing! so, whaddya’ say? think you can take the challenge or ‘nah? just so you know, i’m packing a BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG appetite here so you’re gonna have to catch up, here! ❜

hearty laugh escapes itto’s chest as a hand moves to wrap around lumine’s shoulders, pulling her flush against his figure. ❛ i didn’t do anythin’! c’mooooon, lumine, i’m not THAT much of a bad guy, am i? ❜  of course, the oni knew she teased but who is he if not arataki “the silly little teasing” itto, who’ll find any chance in retorting lighthearted humor? it’s not everyday you meet chill people who cared little for your bloodline or boring little details spread in rumors or insults, and he’d rather be caught by tenryou commission for picking his nose in public than be like any regular, everyday joe. lumine, however, truly stood out and there was something about her which had itto kept his intense gaze in often observant modes ... it’s a shame they met in pretty crooked time but all’s well that ends well. not only had he ensured takuya’s safety BUT he got to meet and befriend lumine. easy victory in his never-ending quest of challenges!  

with one last rub against her head, itto pushes off and crossed his arms around broad chest while nodding to himself.  ❛ i’ve already got stuck in jail for this long, i don’t wanna go back just yet! gotta help out takuya and the blue oni readjust with the humans, you know? WHICH, by the way, you’ll be there to watch, right, riiiight? who am i kidding, i KNOW you will, you’re in the arataki gang, baby! okay, okay, jokes aside, i know you got this journey or whatever, so i’m not gonna force you. long as you know you’ve got a place with us, i’m cool with you going ‘round nations telling everyone about arataki “NUMERO UNO” itto! we’ll see the novels ‘bout me flying around! ❜  had this been anyone, he’s sure they’d quickly shut him down for spewing nonsensical, fantastical dreams but she doesn’t...yup. she really caught his eye, positively so.
