My teenage style (he’ll probably my early 20s style) other than jeans/graphic tee/hoodie/converse/sneakers/cargo pants was actually goth with a side of emo. Corset, black skirt, black and white stripped tights, black knee high boots, spiky black leather jewellery and honestly it was Not Me. Like it’s such a weird trauma realisation I just had with that that at that point I was like ‘I’m ugly, I’m a [redacted] doll, I need to hide myself)

(To be clear none of the above styles are ugly or wrong! It just was not me)

And now I look at my clothing wishlist of soft dresses and skirts mostly in soft pink or shades of blue with some other soft colours and florals and think ‘I am allowed to be a person maybe? Maybe even a soft sweet gentle princess person?’ And that is Something 🩷
