@lcveblossomed sent: “How long have you been standing there?" (baela to aemond)

A singular violet eye flicks up at the sound of the words spoken. They had not seen one another since his father had decreed that they were to be betrothed, while he was still healing after the fight with her, her sister and his nephews. When last they saw one another, they were about to leave Driftmark after her uncle Laenor's body was laid to rest, so soon after his sister. Now she was in King's Landing, and her grandmother was pleading for her to be named the heir to Driftmark should the Sea Snake perish of his wounds.
"Long enough..." He had come when he had heard she was getting settled in for her stay and decided to pay her a visit. Aemond pushed off the doorway he had been leaning in. If it was decided that she was to inherit it would lead to many believing the rumors of his nephew's paternity, and would end with Aemond being named Lord of the Tides when they were finally wed. "What say you about your grandmother's petition? I want your opinion."

@embvrzaldrizes gets starter for betrothed!AU
He's been told since as long as he could remember that he was to marry Shaera once they came of age. At least, that was what Father had been insisting, his mother was another matter entirely. His mother was stating that she would not allow him to be married off to a bastard, not that she ever said that where the King could hear. Nor did it really matter in the end what his mother wanted. The king wanted his second son to marry his first grandchild, and no once could contest with a king.
He had not really spoken with her since his eye was taken, and had only recently had she started to send letters. Be is guilt, be it pity or to mock, he knew not what motivated the recent letters. Nor did he care to, though one had to wonder if it had to do with their impeding marriage. She had been summoned from Dragonstone to prepare for the wedding, which would take place in the Red Keep so the King could attend. His father would not likely be able to weather a journey across the Blackwater Bay.
He shifts forward, moving lightly on his feet, having been compared to a cat on many an occasion by the servants. She is still in her riding clothes, having come on dragon back. "Good, you have not changed. Come, I will meet you in the sky on Vhagar. We need to talk."

@astormofsilk continued from HERE
"I believe so yes." Alys sighed softly, hands ghosting across her stomach as she stared into the flames across from her. "The spark is there, but it may go out as all sparks can."
Aemond’s hand when to her belly, thinking of the babe that she said was growing inside of it, their babe. His heart leap at the idea of a child of his own, even in the middle of this war. He had never thought himself the ideal person to be a father, not after how his own father had failed to protect him in favor of his bastard nephews. No, he would not make the same mistakes as his father had done.
“What can  i do to ensure that the spark grows to a flame?” He knew that his love had powers that could not be explained. His Alys could see things that came to pass, long before the wheels of time had caught up. His eye flick up to meet hers, and intensity showing his resolve reflected in the violet hues.
