Tiger & Bunny Week Day 2 🐯🐰

Tiger & Bunny 1st series Anniversary 🥂

I know this show has been out for quite some time now, but to be honest, I never got into it until the end of 2022/beginning of 2023! Originally, I remember when it first came out, me at the ripe age of 15 thinking 'Tiger and Bunny huh. Yeah that sounds like some cute moe-stuff. eh.' How wrong I was XD I was definitely under prepared getting into the show lol. Essentially a good friend of mine said 'This is like X otp but with superheroes! You gotta watch it!!' So I did, and now it's like, wow this has consumed me 😂

It had so much more depth than I thought it would. There is so much world building, character building, plot moving, petty banter and witty humor, low-stakes adventures and high-stakes predicaments that keep you coming back for more! And! While it's an anime, it doesn't have a lot of those common anime tropes that you expect in most shows. It's impactful and funny and charged with action and every character is designed and fleshed out so thoroughly and uniquely. No one has 'anime same-face', it's gorgeous.

Even major details are played out merely through a character's eyes alone:

Like this, when Barnaby states he doesn't like fire. The detail they took to not add a highlight in his eyes, like he's lost in a terrible thought.

2. They way they animate Barnaby crying even with his hero suit on.

3. In the same episode vein, exactly how Kotetsu looks after he says he knew Barnaby would trust him.

4. the detail alone in Jake's face here. When was the last time you saw an anime studio individually draw out a character's teeth?

5. and Maverick's expression here. Glowing blue eyes as we can see Barnaby's reflection in his glasses and you know something unsettling is about to occur.

The designs and expressions of these characters is amazing and unlike any I've seen before.

Darby gulped when a gun was pointed at him and he looked up at the holder. A young woman with blonde hair and dead blue eyes looked down at him. Wearing a pink dress made her look so innocent, but she was far from it. She was Bunnie Shepherd, the Leader of one of the main gangs in London. Despite her sheer innocence and sweet attitude, but she could be very cunning, mean and manipulative when she wanted to be. No one scared her, she was completely fearless.

“Oh, I can… and I will. You threatened my brother and tried to get all of our money. Would you like me, of all people, to humiliate you even further~?! Hehe~!”

As soon as he left, Bunnie sighed and said, “I’m tired. Please tell me I don’t have any more meetings”. “Yes, you do… with Thomas Shelby”. She then whined and mumbled, “Send the fucker in…!” Once the door had opened, she sighed and rolled her eyes. “Sit”. He did so and he pulled out a cigarette before humming. “I must say… I didn’t expect the boss of a new gang in London to be so young”. She gave him a cold stare before saying, “Get to the fucking point”. Bunnie lit her own cigarette and Thomas said, “I would like your protection. I heard from Alfie, and your brother, that your services are unmatched”. Then Bunnie smirked.

“Protection…? From Luca Changretta…? The Shelby Family…? Are you serious…?”

Thomas then said, “I lost my brother because of him. It’s better if I have more allies”. Then she stood up, as she leaned on the front of her desk, right in front of him. “What makes you think I’d want to help you? All of you Shelby’s are nothing more than pieces of shit that need to be taken care of. You should be happy I didn’t come after you. I may be cute but you have a reputation for double crossing people. Billy Kimber ring a bell? I only work with people who are going to be faithful to me. Also, they all work for me, Tommy”, she explained. He glared up at her, but nothing was intimidating her. “I also know you brought your brute of a brother with you~. If he walks in, my men will kill him. So… choose your next words wisely. … Or else~”.

Bunnie’s sweet voice was getting under Thomas’ skin and that didn’t happen often. Teddy could be brutal, yes. But he was cheerful and kind. His sister was just cold, calculating and very manipulative. A smirk then appeared on her face as he stood up, pointing a gun at her. Both of men did the same and he said, “All… I wanted… was your fucking protection!!!” “And, like I said, I don’t work with people. They work for me. So, unless you have something better to offer me, get… the… fuck… out”. Thomas put his gun away and said, “I know you work with Solomons”. “He’s family as far as I’m concerned. And, unlike you, he’s smart. He will not let Changretta get under his skin, unlike you. If you want to make a deal… go see him…”, Bunnie said.

“Fine”.

Thomas was escorted out and Bunnie rolled her eyes before asking, “Anymore?” “No, Miss Shepherd”. She blew out some smoke and then put the cigarette out before putting on her hat. “Alright then~! I’m going to see my big brother~! I’ll see you all tomorrow~”, she said to her guards in a cheerful tone. After she put on her coat and walked out of her office, she looked at her other guards. “Kill them”. As she walked away, all she heard was the screaming and shooting of two of Changretta’s men. “Didn’t think I’d find out, huh? You thought wrong, and you have made an enemy out of me… Luca Changretta”, she stated, leaving the place with a hop to her step. “Now…, let’s go see Teddy~!!!”

“Yes ma’am!”

Bunnie Shepherd was a wolf in sheep’s clothing. She was smart, cunning, always made deals in her favour, and she never let her guard down. She knew that the men she had employed were Luca’s spies, since she had spies of her own. She built her own empire and her own reputation, overnight, with her brutality. She wasn’t one to mess with. Not by the Shelby’s, not by the Italians, the Irish, not by anyone in England. She wasn’t invincible but she was smart and cunning.

Pray that you never get on Bunnie’s bad side.

Staggering into the living room, both you and Sam fall to the floor; the alcohol put a wobbling spell on your legs. You lay there giggling and clutching each other; no sense of shame. Caressing your arm, he asks if you’re okay.

“Yeah, I’m fine. How are you, grandpa? Can’t have ya breaking a hip now!” You joke.

“Hey, be careful with that shit! I am getting old,” he defends himself in a goofy tone.

You chuckle at his humor. He’s more stunning than ever; beautiful brown waves of hair framing his sweet face. He’s sprawled across the rug, looking back at you through squinted eyes. You continue to admire him while struggling to your knees.

“C’mon bunny! Get up!” You coax him by yanking his arm.

“Oh no!” He groans. “Go back to calling me grandpa!” Shading his eyes, he smiles with flushed cheeks.

“Ahhh! You’re the one that volunteered, Bunny,” you tease as you jump to your feet.

You know he’s embarrassed after Josh and Jake picked on him all day for dressing up as the Easter bunny. The harder they poked at him, the more he defended his choice; saying he did it for the kids. The only way he made it through the night was drowning his shame with tequila.

“You are never gunna let this one go,” he huffs.

“It’s not that bad, Sam. I actually thought it was kinda cute,” you admit to him.

“We’ll of course it was cute!” He exclaims as he springs up. “Pretty fucking embarrassing too,” he chuckles.

You grip his soft hands and flail his arms around in a drunken dance. You both are reduced to laughs. Everything seems comical even if it isn’t, and your next thought is true to that.

“Put it on,” you whisper with wide eyes and sprawling grin.

“What?” Sam grumbles back.

“Put the head on!” You shout.

Your own thought seemed to surprise you just as much as it did Sam. The look on his face quickly told you he wasn’t gunna do it at free will. You drop his hands and rush to the back of the house. Sam chases after you, insisting he will not put it on. You reach the bedroom with him right on your heels. Before you can grab the costume, he wraps his arms around your waist and tackles you on the bed. Honestly, my posting system is chaos. Jeremy Beremy if you will.

This is more than you asked for but here is an insight 😀

I have lots of WIPs on the go at any one time, and usually I will dot around between a few projects, not knowing which I might manage to finish first, but chipping away. Sometimes, I will choose one WIP I really want to finish “next” and focus on it solely for a while. However, sometimes inspiration jumps out of nowhere, for something that was not on my radar until literally two seconds ago but now I am consumed until I finish all 21k of it, and nobody has any idea it is coming until it arrives fully formed on the dash, least of all me 😆.

I also have a ton of other WIPs in my drafts which aren’t on the list.

Sometimes things drop off of my radar for months at a time, but I still consider it an “active” WIP, because I do intend to finish it one day and it’s definitely not “abandoned”.

Sometimes I totally forget I had a half-written thing in the drafts and might rediscover it and finish it at an unexpected moment.

Somethings, I’m purposefully putting off starting until other specific things are finished, to make myself finish the other things.

Sometimes with asks/requests I’m able to answer it quickly, as my brain is in the right space to do it right away, but other times I also add those as a WIP in my drafts and it might stay there until things fall together.

I also sometimes write quick blurbs or even longer pieces in between working on the longer projects to take a break, and sometimes I never really think of those as WIPs as they just happen.

In summary, it’s really hard to predict with any accuracy what on Earth I will finish second next, most of the time. BUT, I can often say what I will finish next, if I’m working (or especially if hyperfocussing) on a specific thing (which happens a lot).

For example, this month, I am/was really keen to finish one of my TF fics, but, all my plans were completely disrupted by me falling into a pit of Moon Knight hyperfixation, so all other WIPs were paused by default until I rode that wave. (This is for fun after all, so sometimes I have to go where my brain wants to play!)

I have the list of WIPs there and genuinely hope it’s helpful as a guide, so people know roughly what type of thing is coming up for which type of characters. But, there are also often surprises!

One thing I can’t really do is put time very good time estimates on things, though there are odd exceptions.

So, unfortunately no, to answer your actual question, it’s not in order at all, because inspiration is such a fickle and meandering creature, and plot bunnies bounce around everywhere with no hope of me controlling them because they’re bunnies 🐰🥺

(And slight tangent but this is why I always emphasise I accept requests, and can always be encouraged to bump certain things up the list, but you might literally be waiting between one day and seven years for something from me, as I’m at the whim of my own brain, and in my brain time is not a linear concept! But, you should know, if I said I’m going to do something, I’ll still be still sitting there thinking “yes, that’s something I’m working on”, even if I’m still figuring out pieces in my head or waiting for that elusive inspiration to hit right. Sometimes, a 1k thing might take months and a 21k thing might happen out of nowhere, and other times it’s the opposite way around, so there’s little rhyme or reason!)

I guess what I’m trying to say is it’s chaos, pure chaos, but what I can guarantee is that I’m always writing something, and I that I will do the things. In the wrong order. Eventually. 😝 Probably… 🙈😂
