Obanfei drabble

The bandages fall to the ground revealing the lower half of Obanai’s face. Large scars on either side of his mouth most would call ugly however I think otherwise. Obanai stands stiff and stares directly at the floor as I approach him. I cup his face with both of my hands and trace and stroke the scars. He gazes into my dark brown eyes, not expecting such a response. “I think they’re beautiful.” I say softly. “These scars are a part of you, and I love every part of you.”
