Basics? 2009 COD MW except. Next generation. Also it’s an AU so it’s obviously canon divergent - Gaz survived getting shot, for one. Major thing.

Anyways! The NextGen AU centers mostly around Gaz and Mangle (OC) after they get promoted to captain since the TF141 needs to keep existing and they’ve outlived their previous captains (Price & Soap respectively). Gaz might as well be an OC in the AU at this point I stole his name & voice and vaguely stole his appearance and ran with it.

I don’t really have any canon soldiers outside of Gaz and Mangle, I thought it’d be fun for my friends to make their own OCs to put in the NextGen 141, y’know?

I also like to think that after MacTavish’s death, Roisin can’t stand coming home to a silent house, and Gaz doesn’t mind the company (or the split rent), so they end up living together,,, it’s just a very nice idea to me. They have a dog that Roisin’s younger sister takes care of while they’re away trust!!

Roisin/Robyn "Rat" / "Mangle" Fitzgerald info ;;

In its main story/timeline (for the 2009 MW universe), Roisin’s nickname is Rat & it’s a lieutenant that works under MacTavish. It started going by Robyn - its deceased mother’s name - because it works around a lot of British people that cannot pronounce Roisin properly to save their lives, and it’s just easier than constantly correcting pronunciation.

Before joining the 141, it worked as a medic for technically a mercenary group, called A Taibhse Patróil, but their contracts were managed by the Irish government. It was a corporal in this group, and the group was closer than most other military or mercenary groups, often referring to each other as family and truly meaning it - the captain prided himself on his control over his soldiers, often able to communicate orders without much of a single word.

I do have this whole. storyline. built about a man named Krauss and his terrorist group masking as a PMC, Kairos International, but that is INCREDIBLY too long for a single tumblr post, so I’m just going to say Krauss is a very powerful man, with people that work for him planted in seats of government worldwide, allowing him to work under the radar easily. He had issues with A Taibhse Patróil particularly, having a personal history with the captain.

A Taibhse Patróil was eventually disbanded after the death of a lieutenant- Roisin’s brother Seán- and a private, due to the clear threat and influence of Krauss. It was just decided that the task force needed a lot of money to function, and it was doomed to fail.

It was shortly after that when Roisin was contacted and invited to join Task Force 141 for Operation Kingfish as their medic. It stuck around in the Task Force, eventually rising in rank to Lieutenant, and growing fairly close with the other soldiers, even if they couldn’t replace its original squad.

Because of Krauss’ power, and finding a few easy-to-break higher ups, he managed to get one of his men on the base the task force resided on, posing as a young recruit that needed to shadow more experienced soldiers. Roisin was taken from the barracks in its sleep.

It, alongside a nineteen year old private from its original task force nicknamed Midnight, was taken to a facility in the Russian wilderness that was designed to break soldiers so Krauss could have them loyal to him, under his command, but he happened to underestimate Roisin’s perseverance when it had a nineteen year old kid to look after. With the help of a defector, Roisin managed to escape alongside Midnight and a few other soldiers.

A few weeks before the escape, however, Roisin had made the mistake of biting one of Krauss’ soldiers in a panicked frenzy, and had gotten its jaw wired shut, having to survive off of meal replacement shakes afterwards. Once it had escaped, it knew the small team would have to make a hell of a trek to find civilization - if Krauss’ soldiers didn’t find them first - and it would need to eat before they could get proper medical attention. So the only reasonable thing in its mind was to tear the wiring out itself, resulting in the facial scars it has now.

After returning to its home and having a couple months of physical therapy and actual emotional therapy, it passed a psych eval and was allowed to return to service as it desired. It was iffy around people, often had night terrors, but it still managed to do its job to its full capacity. It was eventually moved from its on-base barracks room that was shared with a non-TF141 soldier, placed in Captain MacTavish’s room instead, at his request. It seemed to feel safer sharing a room with the captain - fully knowing his capabilities, and trusting that it was at least a little less likely to be taken again.

HOO BOY THAT WAS A FUCKIN LOT! I didn’t even go over everything like its parents being dead, its uncle (& legal guardian) being the reason it joined the military in the first place, the fact it actually wanted to be an astronomer and only turned to the military because it couldn’t afford school,, yeah!! Also yes this is OC x CC content (Roisin & MacTavish), if you don’t like it block and move on I’m having fun

Markus "Big Bang" Banks, American (North Carolinian specifically), ex-US Air Force pilot, got his nickname because he accidentally dropped a bomb over an uninhabited area from his A-10C during one of his first solo flights in it. Unrelated to the "ex" part of "ex-US Air Force pilot" — he was honorably discharged after ejecting from his jet during a crash left him with a spinal injury that hospitalized him for nearly a year and left him in physical therapy afterwards.

Speaking of service related injuries! During his time in the air force, he also lost two of his fingers to a malfunctioning piece of equipment in his jet. He wear prosthetics now, usually wearing a glove alongside the prosthetics to keep them more secured and comfortable.

Despite being discharged from the air force, and having multiple bad experiences of planes and jets malfunctioning or just plain giving out on him, he still adores planes and flying - always has, it’s been his special interest since he was a toddler. Due to his previous notable work in the Air Force - particularly, his determination to make a death trap of a jet function & willingness to follow orders into missions that were projected to likely kill him, and still come out alive- the CIA reached out and offered a position as air support for certain operations.

The man he most often provided air support for was Alex Keller, buddying up to the point he’d be on call if Keller ever needed his assistance. Eventually, he became almost solely partnered with Keller, starting to be worked into typical intelligence operations to keep him busy.
