"I suppose that could be perfectly doable, then." James said.
He was a bit perturbed by the vice of his dorm, but not in any way that would make this a bad decision. Additionally, he would be a perfect princely type of character...
"We will be having another round of auditions on Thursday night. If you can possibly bring Vice Housewarden Hunt with you, that would be most ideal."
"Oh! But if that date doesn't work, we are somewhat flexible, as long as it happens within the week." Casimir added, excited about finally being able to put on a show.
James paced around a (mostly) empty classroom, tapping his fingers against his chin as the heels of his boots clacked against the tile floors.
"Tsk, unbelievable! I've plastered all manner of posters all over campus and we STILL don't have enough actors for our spring performance!
Chernenko! Do you happen to have any suggestions, as our newest member of the NRC Drama Club, as to what we can do to garner interest?"
Casimir shot up at his upperclassman's addressing him and tilted his head.
"Pray tell, whatever can I suggest, Lord Ratt? I doubt there is much that even my own evil capabilities are capable of doing, since... Well... I do not have the most... Well-liked reputation amongst my peers?"
James sighed, pushing his glasses up as they slid down the bridge of his nose.
"What do you MEAN??? Surely there's SOMEONE you can ask that would be interested in a show like this? We just need a prince or two, that's all! I would have assumed that with my wording of the posters, all manner of NRC pretty boys would have flocked to audition and yet?!"
"W-well..." Casimir started. "We... We could start by perhaps not tearing our hair out over such a conundrum? It appears that we are disturbing potential vassals- I mean... Actors."
He pointed out the hall to a rather disturbed looking group of students that scurried away with haste.
James sighed. One look would have suggested that he had a blood vessel about to pop right then and there.
"Alright. Fine. But what are we to do if we don't have a full cast? None of these fools that have auditioned are even CLOSE to what we need in our lead roles..."

James was the first to respond to the text.
'Ah.Excellent news.Having you and the vice-housewarden auditioning should make for an excellent show, and I do look forward to seeing you soon.-JR'
Casimir took a bit longer to respond, but his response eventually popped up alongside James's.
'indeed this is excellent news, my liege! i shall look forward to having the two of you in our presence, and i eagerly await your auditions!!! you will make the utmost perfect princes for this show i do believe. most excellent, indeed!'
"Rook, Mein Liebe, would you be okay with acting in a little show with me? We'd have to audition, but I met this nice pair who need two more actors to play princes and I immediately thought of you and I."
~ @cryo-and-condescension
Oh la la, that sounds splendid, mon amour. It would be a wonder to act as a prince alongside you.
[Rook said with a dazzling smile]

Both boys flinched at the sudden presence, not quite sure how to greet the new guest.
Casimir quickly recovered, though, and turned to Oberon.
"Ah! Greetings, my phantasmal acquaintance! I suppose you are the 'friend' that Lord Juno here was speaking of."
He gave a bow, fluttering his wings for a dramatic flair, and then stood back up.
"I do not believe I introduced myself to either of you, now that I think of it, but you may address me as the one and only Casimir Chernenko, Soon-To-Be Evil Overlord of Night Raven College and eventually the entirety of Twisted Wonderland, kyahahahaha!"
James raised an eyebrow at Casimir's words, and Casimir coughed, continuing.
"...Most people simply refer to me as Casimir or 'Cas', though."
James nodded, following suit as he bowed as well, extending a polite hand when he came back up.
"James Ratt, Pomefiore Second-Year at your service. Pleasure to make your acquaintance."
James paced around a (mostly) empty classroom, tapping his fingers against his chin as the heels of his boots clacked against the tile floors.

Casimir hemmed and hawed for a moment.
"Well... You would not like this option, my lord, but-"
James held up a hand to stop his underclassman.
"Don't. Don't finish that statement. It was a rhetorical question, anyways. I know the answer."
"That we would have to go without a show again?"
"Yes. We would have to go without a show again."
"Well... I suppose I cannot allow my talents to go to waste! I must conjure up some manner of change that shall allow us to perform even without-"
"Without some of the main leads cast? Simply put: no. You're not going to be able to accomplish that. If it were only one or two scenes that they were vital for, I would consider it, but there are far too many scenes that require the presence of these characters on the stage. And I'd be damned if I'm double-casting some of these fools..."
James paced around a (mostly) empty classroom, tapping his fingers against his chin as the heels of his boots clacked against the tile floors.

"Well... Twould certainly be unconventional for sure but... Well! I do suppose we have had far more interesting occurrences, even during my rather short time in this coven thus far..." Casimir mused. "I don't think it would be a problem, so long as we can see him on the stage!"
James himself was too busy feeling the high that came with being praised for his looks, but he did nod in approval at Casimir's words.
James paced around a (mostly) empty classroom, tapping his fingers against his chin as the heels of his boots clacked against the tile floors.

James seemed a bit miffed at the mention of his housewarden being in the show- after all, the guy was a member of his rival club! He couldn't possibly request such a thing of him. His own ego wouldn't allow it, even if he DID generally respect the guy.
Casimir didn't seem to notice his fellow club member's hesitation, though, and seemed excited by the idea.
"Ah! You hold a contract of some sort with not only the Overlord of Pomefiore, but also his Demon General?" He seemed somewhat intimidated by the notion of having such powerful people as collaborators, but also excited. "why... Such a combination of our forces could prove to be a most excellent choice indeed... Oh! And perhaps it may even serve to bridge a gap between the film appreciation coven and the drama coven!!!! What an..."
"interesting idea..." James murmured, still uncertain of dragging his housewarden into things.

James startled a bit at the sudden intrusion, whereas Casimir simply perked up.
"Ah! Liege Lynx! Tis a pleasure to see you again." Casimir exclaimed.
"...alright I suppose we are all acquainted then." James said shortly, without a second thought. "I would've appreciated a knock, though, Alden."
He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose with one hand and holding up two fingers with the other.
"Two. Two actors is what we are missing."
James paced around a (mostly) empty classroom, tapping his fingers against his chin as the heels of his boots clacked against the tile floors.

Casimir looked rather excited at a chance to continue.
"Ah! Most excellent! I shall continue on then, my liege.
So there is actually a plethora of different characters within this show: a cow, a boy who gets into trouble with a giant, a witch, a baker; why, I could go on! But in particular, the two roles we've had trouble casting are, rather ironically, might I add, two princes who are somewhat conceited and focused on their own gains - the princesses or princes that they seek."
James nodded.
"It's not that there aren't actors here suitable for those roles, of course. The problem is that none of them auditioned for them, and if they did, they were much better suited for other roles (that, or they didn't want to play the roles of obnoxious, conceited princes because it made them look bad or something...)"
James paced around a (mostly) empty classroom, tapping his fingers against his chin as the heels of his boots clacked against the tile floors.

"Ah..." James said, looking a bit displeased that he was no longer able to immediately jump into the conversation. His annoyance seemed to only grow, though, as Casimir spoke up.
"Well! It is, at least I've been told, a show inspired by a plethora of old children's tales, many of which are at least... Somewhat related to those of the great seven... Or... OH! I do know one tale is a story of which the annual 'Beanfest' event is based on as well! I've been told that there's a similar show that exists in other worlds, as well. But I seem to be getting beside myself. You see, the show starts out with-"
"I... Think they get the idea." James interrupted, still looking a bit annoyed.
Casimir deflated for a moment, but seemed to shake it off rather quickly.
"Well I was simply providing them with a general synopsis of the show! Any good evil overlord worth their salt would explain whatever was going on, no?"
James paced around a (mostly) empty classroom, tapping his fingers against his chin as the heels of his boots clacked against the tile floors.

"Oh, truly???" Casimir said, excitement dancing in his voice as he turned to James. "That could be most excellent for the both of us, milord Ratt!"
James pondered the thought for a moment. He was a bit curious as to who the friend was and whether or not they were involved with the film appreciation club, but...
Well, he was desperate. He needed this show and he wasn't about to pass up the chance to be able to put it on.
"...Very well. That would be... Much appreciated. If it isn't too much trouble, of course?"
James paced around a (mostly) empty classroom, tapping his fingers against his chin as the heels of his boots clacked against the tile floors.

James shook his head.
"Preferably masculine-presenting, but at the end of the day it doesn't really matter. Casimir here can make any necessary edits," he turned to Casimir expectantly. "Can't you?"
Casimir nodded proudly, placing his hands on his hips.
"Why of course, my liege! I take great pride in my abilities to not only produce the greatest hymns and ballads dedicated to heroes past and present, but ALSO my ability to edit the miniscule details of stories past!"
James paced around a (mostly) empty classroom, tapping his fingers against his chin as the heels of his boots clacked against the tile floors.

Casimir seemed about to say something, but James beat him to the punch, almost too quickly.
"I'LL DO IT! *ahem* I mean... I would be completely fine if you wished to capture my essence on canvas! I do put a lot of effort into myself and it'd be a shame for it to not be immortalized in some capacity."
"Your vanity knows no bounds, milord..." Casimir muttered under his breath. "And people believe me to be the conceited one..."

James was a bit intrigued, as was Casimir, but the two were interested for ever so slightly different reasons.
"Ah! It is... Far too soon to capture an evil portrait for me... I haven't yet been able to conquer this school, let alone the world... Otherwise, I would volunteer for such a position..."
James in particular, though, was incredibly curious.
"Are you simply looking for just anyone to be painted as your muse? And you haven't asked around the dorm or anything?"
He wasn't about to allow himself to get too excited by the idea of being someone's muse, and he was certain there were more issues than Juno was letting on.
Despite that, though, his ears had perked up and he was unconsciously adjusting his uniform blazer.
"Oh! Perhaps you could ask one of the overlords of the seven domains!!! Although their power may be great, I'm sure they might be willing to weaken themselves in order to have their portraits taken?"
James paced around a (mostly) empty classroom, tapping his fingers against his chin as the heels of his boots clacked against the tile floors.

Casimir jolted at the sudden voice, and James turned around with interest as well.
"Ah... This is what I meant by disturbing others..." Casimir murmured, as James sighed.
"Was it not clear that there were occupants in this room at the moment?" James asked, still a bit tense. "Those blithering idiots just don't know what to do when they hear someone CLEARLY struggling."
"or... Maybe they don't like hearing us musing to ourselves like madmen while pacing about?" Casimir offered helpfully, but he was quickly stopped by the sound of a loud "snap".
James held a piece of chalk in his hand as he stood by the blackboard in the classroom. If the blood vessel on his head was not close to popping before, it was now.
"Well then perhaps they shouldn't be eavesdropping, now should they?"
He turned and stared at Juno.
"We simply are having a matter of crisis that requires immediate attention, though it is likely nothing you can concern yourself with."

"Oh... So it appears that you are simply in need of a new muse or source of inspiration?"
Casimir leapt up.
"That should be no problem! Although we may be in dire need of willing sacrifices for our performace, we do know several people who (at least I believe) could serve as most excellent muses for you!"
James shook his head.
"But it appears there may be difficulties with that, judging from your expression. So I guess I'll ask; what is the hangup with finding a new muse?"
