I WANNA DO THIS WITH LEVI AND MAIA NOW

mostly bc i need to refresh my memory how their relationship worked in my original run of the sims/and also to kinda develop them more as characters . SO!!!

1. & 2. How did Levi and Maia meet? + How did they get together?

The two of them met in college, but at the time, Levi and KYLIE were still together. Outside looking in, (from Maia's point of view) they seemed rather unbalanced as a couple, but she wasn't one to judge.

As their friendship grew, Kylie, Levi, Maia, and Maia's twin sister, Elana, planned to rent a townhouse together to make college just that much more bearable.

But then, cut to: The Break Up™ , Levi's struggling to unpack his things as he feels kinda weird to be taking up the room he was supposed to share with Kylie all by himself. Wanting to be a good friend, Maia came to comfort him through his feelings—

(and— side detail, this was around 2020, where everyone was inside and there was nothing better to do,) So their relationship became pretty sexual pretty quickly. And then, Maia began to sleep in her own room less and less, Levi began to develop stronger feelings for Maia. And about maybe 1-2 months since their initial consumation(???), they made it official.

3. Who kissed who first?

I wanna say Maia. The breakup brought out a really sensitive side of The Usually Stoic Levi that she had never seen before up till that point, and— she found that really attractive, she couldn't help herself.

4. What's the relationship like? Smooth or Rocky?

In comparison to their previous relationships, these two gel with each other in a way that makes a lot of sense. They're both hard working, they're both equally attracted to each other, they have the same goals and ideals, they look amazing together...So even though it's not perfect, it doesn't take a lot of compromise for them to be together, and I think that makes it Smooth.

(In the Sims, I remember, they autonomously loved each other a lot, and I didn't have to step in and help too much. So that was Cool.)

5. What do they like the most about each other?

Maia likes Levi's mind and persistence. Levi likes the way Maia's attitude— the way she cruises through the hardships of life with so much confidence.

6. Who cleans the most/Who's the messiest?

Maia has the NEAT trait. She's an absolute neat freak, she color coordinates all of her belongings, she always knows where everything is, she keeps an agenda, she smells nice All The Time...

She lives with three college students, man, SOMEONE has to care about dust around here.

And contrary to that— Levi isn't the MESSIEST person, generally, I mean, he is a tattoo artist, so he has to have some level of hygiene drilled into his mind. HOWEVER, in comparison to Maia, he IS still an artist, so...Yeah. Ink and tissue paper everywhere until his work is done.

7. Who cooks?

Maia. She's a culinary student.

Levi can cook too, though. He likes to help, around the kitchen, it's a bonding activity.

8. Who worries the most?

Maia. Definitely. She's actually a very anxious person, she just hides it very well.

9. Who is more jealous or possessive?

Maia again.

10. How do they resolve their arguments?

With Los Angeles Therapist Speak. Like, that, "I hear you, and I value your opinion." "That is great and But I need to live my truth." "At the end of the day" — They fight like CEOs in a hotel meeting room.

11. Who is more physically affectionate?

Maia, I think. I think she's got the higher libido of the two anyway.

17. Do they ever trade clothes?

You know... what's funny is that they're so close in measurements but their aesthetics are so different, they just simply wouldn't look good in each other's clothing. Maia would look too grungy, Levi would look too Clean. And that's just wrong to me. in my mind.

20. Do they give each other nicknames?

Are pet names and nicknames the same thing? If so... I feel like the standard "Babe" passes between them, and then Levi picked up the affectionate word, "Angel" from Kylie.

Maia calls Levi "Leaf" on occassion.

✨THE LUMPIA HUT - BUILD INFODUMP✨

the lumpia hut is quite a colorful bunch --kinda like a sitcom friendgroup -- that don't get along super well, but really love each other at the core of it, so they make it work. and for a while, they lived together

- first floor is kitchen/living (+ kylie's room)

*with a household that was at least 50-75% asian, the rice cooker was very important to me.

- kylie's room -

kylies whole thing is that she's the manic pixie dream fuckboy type: smokes, plays guitar and bass, vinyl collector, loves movies from the 80s and 90s

and then she's got mad ADHD — i mean, the only reason why she's a bartender is cuz her brain really thrives in an environment that makes multitasking her job. so anything that she drops off her person into this room; food, money, underwear, lives on the spot she left it on until she remembers the floor didn't always look like that.

(this room probably smells like a divorced father.)

i mentioned in an intro post that kylie moved in after the other three... and that kylie and levi used to date. SO! ☝️☝️☝️ after the break up, kylie had a big mental health moment, dropped out, and moved back in with their mother in florida — TheBigSneeze of 2020™ happens, so they stay in florida a little longer than planned.

& in my head, this room used to be maia's, but over quarantine, she'd go upstairs to sleep with levi more and more— rendering this room completely obsolete. so by the time kylie came back, it was theirs.

second floor

in my original playthrough (pre kylie death lmao) maia and levi became woohoo partners, then both unofficially moved to levi's room as they both would always fall asleep after the fact...the same facts remain in the replay.

i feel like, for levi, the main differing factor between kylie (ex gf of four years) and maia (current gf) is that maia's a lot more of a hustler than kylie is, so the two of them share the same ideals when it comes to life, work, and where they see themselves in five years, etc -- so levi and maia made more sense as life partners than the former.

i liked the idea of them sharing the same work stations & "parallel playing" as one of them does little tattoo designs, and the other edits a youtube video or something

- elana's room -

this is her own room :) & i imagine, the very first time elana has her own space.

(the garland clips into the wall bc it;s low height, i know, but i wish i had attic ceilings)

even within the limitations of the game, i had always envisioned elana as a real vampire type: dark clothes, dark makeup, dark humor, dark taste in everything... but in terms of interior her taste is all thrifted vintage.

im really proud of this vanity by the way, it took a lot of trial and error to get these three mirrors to get up on the desk like that.

she collects these posed taxidermied bugs...and as creepy as that may look to the average viewer, i'd always thought it just shows she has an eye for detail and the delicate. that talent of hers really lends itself well when it comes to (her job) decorating cakes— like those piped flowers, and swirlies and shit...

So uhhh yeah thats it

I'm sorry i don't remember the packs/cc i used here, but off the top of my head, this is mainly base game, backyard stuff, my first pet stuff, and holiday celebration. and then the rest is probably KKB's maxismatch with some stragglers from other people (bc whenever i go 'cc shopping' i close my eyes and hit download to alleviate myself of guilt)

the daisy & kylie household was made up of my favorite sims from two most played households at the time (the reillys & lumpia hut; which i'll make posts for, soon). the daisy and kylie met through some mutual friends, went on like, one date, and now live with the aftermath of every choice they have made from birth, up until this point. it's kinda like exposure therapy.
