so this is one of the outfits for women in imperial palaces during nguyen dynasty, from 1802 to 1945.

the extravagance is not in the jewelries, but in the silk itself. the embroideries have many colors and patterns, each has its own meaning. i can't do intricate patterns so it'll do i guess :'D

"however," melody stands up and faces the dynamic duo. she winks and the stars in her eyes (replacing her pupils) turn from innocent snow-white to a menacing shade of midnight black. "no one else knows of me like this."

another blink and melody's back to normal. there is a playful step in her footsteps as she leaves the library, leaving the debtor to remember why the girl was assigned the nickname of 'cone snail' in the first place. innocent at first glance, a killer in the next.

when she snaps, night raven college will finally realize that the only true villain in this school...was her.

here is the nickname thingy for my new oc: melody!

personality: really cunning and manipulative on the inside (like imagine jamil + azul combined), but to everyone else in twst, she's just a prefect who gets really good grades and hangs out with the weirdest of people aka the twst boys.

hobbies: making music with the pop music club! she's currently trying to turn them into idols with her knowledge of kpop from her old world :). other than that, melody loves paintball/shooting/archery! she is a fearsome foe when it comes to beanfest *gasp* as much as a threat as rook!! she

her best friends are weirdly enough, cater, riddle, and leona! (although it seems like she is in a weird love triangle with cater vs leona pursuing her haha)

her dorms would be (not ramshackle): scarabia, pomefiore, savanaclaw (going by what the dorm stands for and not the stereotypes like jocks/beauty queens)

A POSSIBLE ENDING....

a familiar face haunts melody's dreams. five to be exact. every night, it's the exact same five people that reach out to her in the inky black darkness, their yearning for her is incomparable. their cries are muffled but in her soul, melody could feel their desire to reunite with her once again. tears stream down her face as she reaches out to grasp their hand, only to be tugged further and further away by an unknown variable. an unknown variable with razor-sharp fingers and a hint of gold on them... a repetitive alarm jerks her await. melody almost leaps from her bed before she realizes where she is once again. her purple locks fall in front of her face, reminding her of who she is and her role as the player. "my name is," she murmurs as if reminding herself. "melody striker. prefect of night raven college and codename player of twisted wonderland."

so here is my OC, melody striker, who's appearance is the PLAYER of twisted wonderland. in reality, she is the manager of a popular kpop group named DAYDREAM when suddenly, on the night of their concert, she was hit by a carriage and whisked away without even getting to say goodbye...

we love torturing our OCs :D

in that world, she used to be an idol before becoming a manager! she had a very cute style (mainly pink and white) in kpop fashion because of their group: LOVE LETTER's theme! she had brown hair that was dyed with pink lights highi(kind of like lilia?? but more pastel pink) and round doe eyes!!

for the ending....i think melody would just give her old self a hug. its not easy becoming an idol with so much stacked against you so i think she would just try to comfort her younger self. maybe a good ending then? a happily ever after.

the harbringer of broken code (welcome to the villain's world)

"let us die together, so we can stay together, forever~"

high pitched squeals immediately responded to the end of the song. bright lightsticks were waved in the air to show their love and pride for their favorite boyband: daydream.

they were an immediate success from the moment they debuted until two years later, still ruling the top music charts around the world. emerging fresh with the concept of sleepy daydreams, they caught the world's attention with their amazing and unique choreography and stunning vocals. not to mention, they each have outstanding looks that separate them from the rest of the industry.

but of course, every band needs a good manager. and it just so happens to be the successful legacy-leaving idol, melody striker. in her early twenties, she debuted as part of the famous girl band, 'love letters' and as their leader and main producer. as part of 'love letters', she received tons of fame and influence not because of her singing or dancing, but because of her jaw-dropping, deep-psychological lyrics that manage to hook listeners in just a second. that is why love letters are still so popular even today and they owe much of their success to melody.

"thank you everyone for coming!" daejoon smiled and waved to the screaming crowd. his hair was still a bit shiny from sweat yet the smile on his face never wavered. "we hope you enjoyed the concert for our latest album: through thick and thin because i certainly did!"

"sorry, dream, but you only have a couple more minutes before you have to come back," melody's voice echoed in their ear mics as the members internally pouted.

"to our daydreams," yeonhun grinned, taking the microphone from a beaming sunny. "let's finish off this concert on a happy note!"

"aww, do we really?" sunny crossed his arms and stuck out his tongue at yeonhun. "look at everyone! they're so happy? right guys?"

a resounding, 'yes', rang around the stadium as sunny uncrossed his arms, facing the heavens. "see??"

"they'll see us again tomorrow," james replied cooly. he flicked back a lock of ice-blond hair and fans screamed again in response.

yeonhun nodded before leading his group to do their iconic phrase.

"daydreamers around the world, we'll always daydream about you!"

screams of happiness and sadness echoed in the stadium as the boyband's platform sank to the floor. they waved as much as possible before the dark background below the platform greeted them. immediately, daejoon and sunny hopped off the still-descending platform to hug their noona and manager, melody. she dons the signature oversized purple hoodie and pairs it with blue skinny jeans - as if she wasn't a millionaire with all the money she earned in the past couple of years.

"noona!" sunny smiled. his blond hair shone underneath the bright lights. "are you proud of us?"

"of course!" melody chuckled. "you managed to not only sold out tickets for today's performance but also the next two days! only major groups have managed to do that and you guys are only three years old!"

"come on guys," james chuckle, pulling a pouting daejoon away from melody. "let's not cover her in sweat, yeah?"

"nah, it's okay," she waved it aside. melldy pulled out her wallet and grinned mischievously. "you know...along the way, i saw a convenience store nearby. they have a 'buy five get one free' sale on ice cream-"

"ice cream, ice cream!" their maknae, minyeol, chanted as he pulled her away. "come on, hyungs! let's go!"

"wait, minyeol, you're still in performance clothes!" yeonhun panicked and dashed after them. suddenly, he paused and bowed, saying "thank you sunbaenims for cleaning up and helping us!" before continuing his pursuit over his lost member and manager. quickly, sunny, daejoon, and james followed their leader, not wanting to be left out. the staff around them chuckled at the cute interaction before resuming their actions of cleaning up.

"ahhh," melody let out a happy sigh. "this ice cream is the best!"

minyeol nodded happily next to her. his blue hair was covered in a black hat and he exchanged his performance clothes for an oversized black hoodie and black cargo pants. the rest of the members wore something similar; getting caught by saesangs or fans would be problematic.

yeonhun's phone buzzed. he read the message before handing it to melody who rolled her eyes.

"jisa-sunbaenim wants to pick us up now. her car is on the opposite street," melody informed them. "hurry up and finish the ice cream."

another buzz came from the phone. "she says that fans are about to leave the stadium and that if we don't leave by then, we'll be hounded by them."

"yes noona!" they chanted before eating one last bite (or in minyeol's case: finish the whole scoop) before leaving the table, politely throwing their rubbish along the way. melody was the first to leave the small convience store and spotted jisa's black van.

"she's over there!" melody gestured and sunny quickly sprang forth to run.

"jisa-sunbaenim!!"

the traffic lights malfunctioned and the stoplights buzzed from red to green. a car rushed forth and blinding headlights outlined sunny's figure against the darkness of the night. melody's eyes widened as she dashed forthward.

"sunny!" she yelled, throwing herself before him and pushing him away, just as the car crashed into her body. blood spurted out from her mouth and she was thrown into a pole, cracking her spine into two. her ribcage pressed against her internal organs, the sharp bones meant for protection pierced into her lungs and causing intense damage.

blurry eyes wavered as she tried her best to look at daydream. sunny's teary face came into vision first, soon followed by james, daejoon, yeonhun, and minyeol.

"noona, i'm so sorry!" her muffled ears picked up on sunny's wails and yeonhun's panicking.

"daejoon, call the ambulance! james and minyeol, quickly run to jisa-sunbaenim and explain what is happening. melody-noona, p-please," yeonhun's voice cracked on the last word. his hands came up to rub away the tears forming. "s-stay alive!"

"hush," her shaky hand came up to wipe away the tears. melody coughed weakly and the simple action alone was causing pain to flare up in her chest. it was excrutiating. "i won't make it. and that's okay. as long as daydream can continue dreaming, i'll do whatever it takes..."

her head tilted and her vision became overtaken by blobs of black dots. the five members' crying faces was the last thing she saw but not the last thing she noticed. because behind yeonhun's broad figure, an ominous carriage drawn by onyx horses tottled forward.

"MELODY!"

melody striker awoke in a void of umbra black, senses dulled and eyesight blurred. the last thing she remembered was being hit by a car and daydream's members crying before her...wait the carriage! something like that does not belong in the modern-day urban roads of seoul, korea and yet that was the last thing she saw before she died.

she sat up (?) in the emptiness and attempted to walk around.

"where the hell am i?" she muttered to herself. "this is some strange version of the afterlife..."

a status window popped up in front of her, making her hiss at the onslaught of bright lumiscent light. the bright blue box floated in front of her and melody's eyebrows were raised at the message.

"twisted wonderland?" melody gasped and her hands instinctively touched her hoodie's pockets. she sighed in relief as she took out her phone, fingers tapping against the screen (internally, melody wondered at the audacity of the afterlife having better internet reception than the streets of seoul) before reaching the app. the familiar animation, the familiar voice of a character welcoming her into the game, her favorite character smiling at her on her homescreen...yep this was twisted wonderland, melody's favorite game.

"wait so i'll be the new prefect?" melody took another look at the bright blue status window before shaking her head. her shoulders shook with repressed cackles.

"heck no!" her hand came up to slap the window away. melody's honey brown eyes twinkled. "i'm not going to be confined by some stupid prefect personality!"

she pressed [yes] but with a grip on her phone. "i'll be the new 'player' but i won't be the new 'prefect'..."

the afterlife shook as she vocalized her thoughts. suddenly, melody realized that perhaps saying such things at the crossroad between heaven and hell might not have been the smartest of things...but she was dead anyways! what more can any celestial being do to her?

the world shook even more, causing melody a giant headache that made her groan and press her fingers to her head. she lost her footing. a yelp escaped her lips as she fell, her eyes closing and her consciousness fading.

the strawberry dress™ shenanigans (ft. irene lovejoy)

victim subject no. 5: melody striker

melody usually doesn't wear dresses or skirts. but in some way, she got dragged into irene's strawberry dress shenanigans, where she was lowkey forced into a dress of her colour choice.

melody decided to go with the black one with a more modest design than the original pink one. seeing that melody was still hesitating to put on the dress, irene changed her own outfit into a pink variation of that exact dress melody was holding. she walked towards the girl with a small but encouraging grin.

"c'mon, mel. it's just a piece of clothing, you can do it!"

after a while of persistent pestering and persuading, melody finally walked out of the fitting room. red coated her cheeks as she shuffled on her spot, hands clutched the hem of her dress.

"if you say so..."

Princess Erica's delighted laughter echoes in the bridal hall. Her cerulean hands cup Idia's terrified face, murmuring soft reassurances that do not do anything to sooth Idia's pounding heart. If anything, his hair is flickering the shade of neon blue, borderline navy blue. His blue lips open and close but nothing comes out.

"Somebody do something!" He pleads to the amused looking students that look away from his desperate gaze.

"I do love weddings," Lilia grins. "It's been quite a while since I've been to one!"

"The suit and hairstyle does suit Idia," Vil mutters. "It's regrettable that he never dresses up."

Leona scoffs and rolls his eyes. "Please, we all know he's dying on the inside."

"I am!!" Idia screeches back in panic.

"Choose her, Princess Eliza!"

An oddly familiar figure steps out from behind the double doors, making the frozen boys' eyes widen. Teary-eyed guards look guiltily at the eyes of the royal ghosts.

"I'm so sorry, princess!" One wail. "But this prince, she is worthy!"

The other nods, blowing his nose noisily into a tissue. "She is everything you dream of! She is at least 180 centimeters tall, has healthy, lustrous skin, lidded eyes with a hint of dark mischievousness twinkling in them, a devastatingly charming smile, and bright, shimmering hair!"

"Impossible!" Puffy yells. He points accusingly at a smiling Melody. "You! Prove yourself."

Melody chuckles before stepping forth, showing her entire attire that is now showcased under the bright lights. Her hair, which used to be all black with her bangs messily dyed purple, is now completely lavender with neat black roses braided into the sides. She swapped out her purple headphones for a black necklace and wore silver earrings. She dons black slacks with a silky black dress shirt; over the dress shirt, she wore a black corset and an ashen grey dress coat over her clothes. An aura of mature elegance blossomed outwards and she captured everyone's attention immediately.

She knelt before a flustered Princess Eliza, clasping her hands to kiss her knuckles. She blushed as Melody presented a bright bouquet.

"Baby's breathes for everlasting love, orchids for elegance, tulips for true love, roses for love and passion," Melody crooned. Princess Eliza took them with shaky hands before smelling them; a lovely smile bloomed on her face to the boys' astonishment.

"B-but, you must pass all the tests!" The ghost bride spluttered and Melody nodded, an easy-going smile still on her face.

"For you? I'll fight anything and everything."

Princess Eliza's cerulean face turned bright red. One by one, Melody passed all the tests with practiced ease, making the boys gap.

"Who are you and what have you done with Melody?!" Sebek hollered.

"Sevens- how is she doing it?" Trey wondered aloud. Cater hummed in agreement.

"Come on, Melody! Charm her like the SSR card you are! K.O. her for me!" Idia whisper-shouted.

Melody got up from one knee to clasp the princess's hands. She quickly dipped her romantically and flower motifs blossomed around the devastatingly beautiful duo.

"Pick me," Melody's lips were centimeters from Princess Eliza's. Her warm breathes caressed her face, making red bloom on her cerulean face. "Love me for infinity."

"I do!" Princess Eliza squealed.

Melody Striker's footsteps are quiet as she makes her way to Irene's room. The blinding parties lights and loud partying echoing in the hallways even meters away, making Melody (ironically) cringe a bit at the loudness of the music. Stepping inside the room, she slips and slides through the bodies of students before finding the student. Irene stood out from everyone else with the signature birthday suit and turqoise sash. A tiara was placed atop their head (probably by the twins) that glittered under the lights.

"Mind if I steal the birthday student tonight?" Melody gave a look to Jade that made him nod and step away. Irene faced the (slightly) taller girl before smiling.

"You're wearing the earrings I made you!"

"Of course," She chuckled, a finger fiddling with the silver mini headphone earrings dangling from her ears. "You made them for me, I was quite touched when I received them."

Irene only smiled. Melody took out something from behind her, handing it to Irene. It was a simple envelope; nothing stood out other than the elegant penmanship and it's purple color with matched Melody's bangs.

"It's the Crow's black card," Melody smirked and Irene's eyes widened dramatically. "The password's written inside written in code. I pulled some strings, blackmailed some high-ranking people, but the point is - there is an unlimited limit to how much you can spend at one go."

Melody opened her arms for a hug and Irene eagerly bounced into them.

"Enjoy, fellow crow hater," Melody murmured in her ear.

Irene had to stiffled her laughter, in case the crow was present in her birthday party. Their hug tightened slightly as they chuckled.

"As expected from a fellow crow hater, haha."

Eventually, the two broke contacts. Irene waved the evelope Melody gave them, a grin stretched on their face, they were definitely up to something.

"We should have a girls' night out after this. The crow probably won't mind it missing several zeros."

"hey there," melody flashed irene a peacesigns. of course, the girl was wearing her overlarge purple hoodie with her signature purple headphones blasting on full volume stray kids' latest album. her earrings shined in the light, the toxic green color glowed omniously while the 'poison' sign around the cork made it plainly obvious that the girl wasn't someone to mess with.

irene smiled.

"melody!" she smiled. "what can i do for you?"

melody's fingers came up to fiddle with the earrings. "i really liked the ones you gave me...if it's alright, can i have more elegant ones? like for business parties? thanks, love!"

"Business parties, you say? Well, I'll see what I can find."

they said, moving to the back.

a few minutes laters, they walked out with a glass tray, covered by a black velvet fabric. the earrings were laid on top of it, gemstones glinting in the artificial light.

they wore their usual medical gloves as they began transferring the earrings into little silver boxes.

"i believe purple and white will suit you well." they smiled as they picked up the earrings to show melody their choices. "a bit of blues and reds will also make your eyes pop."

the first one was a simple amethyst earrings in the shape of a pentagram flower. it was placed on a silver base stud, acting as its leaves. It also had two asymetrical silver strings attached to its base, drooping down like waterfalls.

"these earrings, i strive for simplicity, yet they must hold elegance." they said.

the second one was another simple yet sophisticated design. it took shape of a wreath, with a silver base as the leaves, and little purple, blue and red gemstones acting as flowers. it was attached to a simple silver string, connected to an opal stud.

the third one was a bit different. irene brought out two forms of the same pattern. it was a two-piece earrings in gold and silver. one of the pieces were a double helix cuff, with tiny chains connecting two pieces together. the other piece was a stud taking shape of a cross, decorated with an opal in the middle and clear quartz. a second chain dangled from the wearer's earlobe, at the end of the chain was a diamond shaped base, finished with another spherical opal.

the fourth one was a non-pierce option. it was a pair of silver earcuffs, decorated with clear crystal moons, and stars. "obligated stellar earrings", as they said with an innocent looking smile.

"well, i think that'll do for now." irene looked at the four boxes they laid out in front of melody. "i do hope you'll do well in these... business parties, fu fu~" irene chuckled, pushing the paper bag containing earrings boxes to melody.

"have fun~" they waved as melody left with a peace sign.

melody striker - code name: the player - her eyes are red and blue to symbolize her twistune-inspired unique magic. they resemble the eyes of famous anime characters from her favorite anime 'oshi no ko' with their star-like pupil - when she is using her unique magic, her star pupils will glow white and the more magic she uses during the unique magic, the more black the star turns - she loves wearing the color purple! she'll always have something purple on her whether it is her jacket or her ribbon. most of the time, she wears a signature purple hoodie - very casual wear. she can totally rock a tuxedo but she really doesn't want to unless she has to - she wears platform boots because quote: "everyone in night raven college is too damn tall!!" - she always has a pair of purple headphones around her neck to listen to music; her music taste is quite versatile (but mostly KPOP) - her hair is mostly black but the front part is dyed purple

melody bopped her head to the beat of the music before distant swearing caught her ears. she opened her eyes, revealing a pair of red and blue irises before staring at what was happening down the corner.

scowling, she walked over and the students instantly parted to make way for the rhythmic beast. she towered over the student before pulling down her headphones which was still blaring 'topline' by stray kids.

"yah," she scowled, knocking him on the head. the student turned around, another swear on his lips before gulping. melody blinked and her the star on her blue iris turned black as the star on her red iris remained white.

"s-striker?!" he shrieked. melody nodded before leaning in. a demonic glint in her blue iris made the student flinch.

"saw you messing with ms. lovejoy," she hissed. "do it again and i'll make sure that [insert blackmail] will be the latest news around school."

the student flinched and quickly turned around to bow at a still-grinning irene before scuttling away. melody only smiled, giving irene peace signs as her eyes turned into snow-white stars again.

"tell me if anyone messes with you again, okay," melody hummed before walking away, pulling up her headphones and the music blared into her ears, making her grin.

"yo!" floyd rushed in, enveloping the blushing girl in a hug. "sea walnut! how do you know cone shell? she's a menace and azul's itching to get his hands on her?"

irene only smiled. "she's a friend."

melody striker only smirked to herself after hearing irene's voice echo down the hallway.

Irene's collection of wonky earrings

Takes place at the end of book 3, Irene being a menace to Crowley's mental health (as she should), Irene using she/her pronouns, overall wholesome stuffs.

The first time they saw her, she was wearing a pair of golden earrings in the shape of a sun with sun drops, a crescent moon with a four pointed star. They were, admittedly, as large as her ears and flailing around to each of her head turn. But they only regarded them as her weird choice in accessories and thought nothing of it.

The second time was on a school day with Ace, Deuce and Grim. She had what looked like lime slices dangling from her ears, and they quickly found out they were simply earrings. Later in the day, she replaced lime slices with a pair of pink heart shaped lollipops. Grim's disappointment was immeasurable and his day was ruined (lightheartedly).

The third time were with Octavinelle gang. Floyd's eyes caught her with a pair of comically long fuzzy worm earrings at work. You know, like those worms-on-a-string, but hung on your shoulders and in sea green and light blue. His attention was immediately snatched.

The guy kept pestering her for the rest of the day, until she had enough and changed them into deep blue mushrooms instead. Floyd stayed far away from her since, and sent her betrayed looks every time he saw her. Jade, on the other hand, fell in love with them (to no one's surprise), so she gave him the pair as a gift and received headpats from him in return. Flovd gasped and clung to her in betrayal because of that. This dramatic bitch /lh/aff

Though on the next day, Floyd was back to being all happy and smiley, carrying on his shoulder an unfazed and unbothered Irene, who was typing away on her holographic screen. No one would've batted an eye, had it not for the earrings they were wearing. Instead of his usual crystal earring, Floyd had a semitransparent blob with dots of colours glowing in the sunlight.

"Sea walnut!! :D" He exclaimed happily, grabbing Irene and throwing her over his shoulder. He ran off, much to her and the First years' disbelief. Again, Ace (the little shit) noticed her earrings being in the shape of two moray eels that resembled a bit too much like the Leech twins. From their colours of teal and dark sea green, to their mismatched eye colours, even to their corresponding dark hair strands.

The staff also noticed her daily change in accessories. Especially Crowley and Crewel. At first, Crowley's golden orbs brightened when he saw her with a pair of metal crow and roses earrings. He walked away smugly, assuming that she liked crows. Well, she does, but Crowley is the biggest exception. So all hopes were shattered the day NRC's headmage laid eyes on the crow skulls she wore as an accessory. What made it even more devastating to him was how eerie Irene's smile was, as she lightly stroked the crow skulls, maintaining eye contact with him without blinking once.

Crewel, however, was gifted a pair of origami dalmatian earrings, which was made from painted metal and had blue crystals for their eyes. She almost teared up when she received more headpats from one of her parent figures in this world.

Vargas wouldn't have noticed, but Trein would definitely do. He let the girl wear whatever accessories she wanted, as long as it didn't hinder her grades. Irene swore she saw Professor Trein nodded subtly at her on the days she wore cat earrings to his class. Lucius like to paw on the dangly things, and she let him.

Sam knows, and he sold her materials to make them.

BONUS:

Irene was walking across the hallway when some random dude decided to just up and insult her for... honestly what was anyone's reason to be mean. Irene just stood there, patiently wait for the student to stop talking, before she pointed at her earrings. It was a silver stick figure holding up it's middle fingers. The student was too stunned to speak.
