Well, my immediate answer would be Frederick, haha. But! I honestly relate to every characters, though just some bits and pieces of them. But my ultimate answer would be Frederick and Monika, I think? Monika because I love collecting things and I'm most likely a hoarder. The amount of useless things piling up in my room is amazing, really. But I can't just throw them away! What if one day they turns out to be important? Plus they're pretty! And they help me feel not lonely. Also chapter 76 lives rent free in my heart. As for Frederick, the fact that he always lives in the fantasy of his book. The fact that he used to be a cheerful child who infodump about things he love. But due to being rejected by his surrounding, he stopped. That hits hard, man.

🎲 heey, re: the fae au, aha, i honestly didn't think much of it since i'm more well versed in werewolves but it's interesting to think abt the different depictions of fae :0 the idea spawned in my head when i thought abt Shuichi following Kokichi into the forest only to end up in a definitely not normal party and Kokichi has to lure him into a dance so he doesn't get trapped forever by the other party goers, that particular vibe was always my favorite, mischievous and feel good with a hidden edge of danger if you take one wrong step. so there wasn't much thought abt it sorry O(-(

and to that one anon with feral pregame saiouma, ahaha, i totally agree with you on that!! i just wanted to share the more softer kinds since there's already so much of them being chaotic

there's no need to be sorry, i'm just a big mythology nut and will infodump if given the chance. if you're looking for the dancing/court type fae you'll want to look towards the Faries, Sidhe- or maybe Sluagh as fae that do shit like that tend to be more dead than alive. they both live in burrial mounds in the middle of nowhere, do dances, and kidnap people.
