Jin: Fine, winner splits it with you, 50/50.

Taehyung: Yeah, she definitely left.

Namjoon pumps his fist.

Jin: (hanging his head) Agh!

Taehyung: I didn't even try to stop her. I mean, she already knows what kind of engagement ring she wants.

Jin types something on his phone. Namjoon smiles, then types something on his phone. Taehyung gets a notification at the top of his screen: +$50 FROM: KIM NAMJOON.

Taehyung: Anyway, what'd I miss?

Namjoon: We were talking about sadboy moments.

Taehyung: Ugh, sadboy moments? Bye. Thanks for the fitty. (barking) PEACE!

Taehyung hangs up.

Namjoon: Am I really the only sadboy?

Jin: I'm definitely having a sadboy moment. (regretfully) Tae's lost the thrill of the catch.

Namjoon: Wow.

Jin: (catching the hint of worry in Namjoon's eye) Ah, c'mon, Joon, sadboy's an aesthetic. A vibe. Your inclination to feel things deeply, no matter the feeling --- that's a gift.

Namjoon: (surprised) Wow. That was really nice, hyung. Thanks. (pauses) I'm not giving you my half back.

Jin: (hanging his head) Agh!

Jin: Yes, I've been sad about things before. Sad about people. But I'm also glad I had the experiences at all. (swallows) And I'm happy to find out (takes another bite; part of the bun sticks out of his mouth, but he pushes it back in) what comes next as it comes.

Namjoon: (watching him eat sloppily) Y'know, I was gonna say that there's no way that YOU are THIS well-adjusted, but...

Jin: Yeah, no, I'm pretty sure I'm a mess in other ways. (holds up his burger and grins) But sometimes, you gotta be like, who cares, right?

Namjoon: (laughing, and easing, though still curious what Jin might be... holding back?...) Right...

Btw, imagine this. Maybe tiny Tae had the cutest crush on one of his hyung's best friend/neighbor. Maybe he saw his hyung give her a shiny paper wrapped box on her birthday and she smiled so prettily now he keeps giving her shiny little things. Chocolate wrapped in gold paper, Jin's glitter car that got passed down to lil Tae (surely his brothers won't miss one tiny car from their toys pile would they?), Mrs. Kim found one of her rhinestone hair clips missing and she is so sure she left it on the table (she didn't notice tiny fingers struggling to reach them, before little feet climbed on the chair and joyfully took the clip away to his new favourite person). Imagine him cutely blushing with his wee bread cheeks and almond eyes turned into crescents as his Noona now grins at him as she pats his soft hair in thanks. What if this Noona came back years later back into their lives again? WELP 🥲 I'm going to sleep with that in my head. - 🎨paint & simp anon.

Noona: Oh, you know, little chocolates, or a toy car, or a hair clip.

Jin: Hair clip?

Noona: Yeah? Like a rhinestone one. But that was ages ago, when we were all kids.

Jin: (turning to Taehyung) Eomma's favorite rhinestone clip?

Namjoon: Uh-oh.

Jin: (to Taehyung) The one I took the heat for when it went missing??

Taehyung: Uh-oh.

Namjoon: (to Taehyung) You should probably run.

Taehyung takes off, Jin following closely behind, screaming.

LOL those kind of fancy letterhead messages are soooo my thing. If Tumblr would let me load pictures on anon, I'd totally be sending you letters. And as the successful Mayor, and a possible Mrs. Kim candidate, I'm highly protective of my ovaries because I wanna make more baby Tae— I mean, future baby Kims. The cutest little rascals of the lot, you know what I mean?! Taehyung stashes your underwear in his pocket. He pulls out a phone with “PROPERTY OF KIM TAEHYUNG 🍆” on the back of the case.

Taehyung: (boxy, mischievous grin, eyebrows rising, really trying) Phone?

Namjoon looks even more pointedly at Jin.

Jin: What! He’s returning a lost item!

Namjoon: (smirking) You two may be suss. But you’re also ride or die. And I respect that.
