"And who would you be?" The black-haired boy asked as he tilted his head curiously. He didn't seem to mind having some company.
"Well, I don't think a chat could hurt..."

Hehehe, guess whose back, it's I, kitsune anon >:3 Hope Mousie and everyone else here having a good day <33
Small little thought today :0
Kitsune Reader (based on that little brainrot of where Reader was good "friends" with Tanjiro before they were turned into a kitsune ) and Tanjiro visiting Asakusa :< like a little date <33
Kitsune Reader who probably has to wear a bamboo hat to hide their ears, but no worries Tanjiro knows what to do <33 They just marvel at this city, something so strange and new yet so exciting. Kitsune Reader sulks a little bit when Tanjiro scolds them a lil that can buy everything :<< maybe a little hard for Tanjiro when Kitsune Reader gives them that whole puppy eyes.
<33 overall, they just lost in their little world together. Tanjiro momentarily forgetting he was there for a mission, he was just....enchanted a bit by the beautiful kitsune by his side ;;;
Awww :(( just imagine when Tanjiro caught scent of Muzan and accidentally left Kitsune Reader behind, who was browsing some cloths so they can sew some patches on Nezuko clothes ;;;
The moment of fear when Tanjiro suddenly wakes up somewhere else, in a cloaked house with Lady Tamayo and Yushiro, and Kitsune Reader not in sight ;;; Only Nezuko being there by his side.... Tanjiro wanting to find his lil kitsune but Muzan has to be a little mean and send demons to hunt them down :((

welcome home, my honey fox <333 you're so on time, I just recently finally got to hashira kitsune reader (although, to be honest, I'm more passionate about your yandere ideas and concepts but shhhh </3 /hj /pos)
warnings: interspecies relationship [implied], slowburn / ust / platonic relationship, blood, mention of killing, mention of panic attack
ajshsjgshs- im sorry??? and the continuation of the story??? you can't leave everything on that note!
... But you, being confused and scared, because you didn't even have time to immediately understand where your pretty scolding human went when he leaves for much longer than "a couple of minutes" after asking to wait here. And you try to find him by smell but feel that at some point he just breaks off, as if hidden by someone, and you would like to find him like a watchdog, but you are too weak and inexperienced, shyly circling,
there is too much noise and sounds around you,
and you feel you feel caught when you realize that the world around you is spinning.
Loud sounds of moving things, ringing voices, languid whispers, rustling clothes, crying, laughter, screams, moans; the lanterns are bright that your eyes begin to dazzle, and the exuberant smells of spices and sweets, along with something oily and bitter — poisonous.
Your tails involuntarily start twitching under your clothes, wanting to fluff up to let others know not to approach you, but you press the bamboo hat harder to your head, remembering how your cute lost human told you to avoid exposing your skin.
Body itches, you want to get rid of your clothes so badly, — too rough and stiff, as if scratching your skin until it bleeds, — but you just hurriedly step aside, hoping that he is already waiting for you at that stall. There is too much of everything, too uncontrollable, you almost feel sick, but everything is fine — everything is fine, you are cooing to yourself, digging your nails into the skin, everything is fine.
But he's not there.
And there is no nearby.
The smells change, mix, but his smell is still as faint, subtle, like a mirage that you follow, bypassing every nook and cranny where he could be. It smells slightly of blood — his blood, and you shouldn't feel so excited, but you can't help but inhale the sweetly tart along with the floral misty and bitterly oily. He is near, you feel that he is near, and it makes you feel even more abandoned, knowing that he is somewhere — but not with you.
Nezuko smells calmer, nicer, more familiar, but her smell is simpler, not so saturated — you almost do not feel her, so tiny and delicate, but you hope that she will take care of a fragile human.
And you don't want to sound pathetic, you really don't want to, but the longer you wander like a ghost, the more desperate you become.
When you realize that you are not alone — you are too dangerously close to dig your nails into someone's eyes and tear them out.
Even if something animal in you sobs for a moment that you need to run.
before I get carried away, I wanted to share an idea — I don't know if you will get into it, and if not, then that's fine, but a
world where Tanjirou, along with you and Nezuko, is forced to fight against pillars that have become demons, while canonical demons have become pillars? it's a bit of a cliche-ish, but I can't help but think about Kagaya, who using a mirror [his demon-ability] to watch the battle and see you there;;; tell me that this will not attract his attention, especially that you have about human consciousness and have not regressed, but at the same time do not obey his orders — so you have never known human flesh...

distracting from work, I want to say that. notes: downed narration, minimal content of spoilers (but they are still there). I won't even deny that my point of view is wrong, looking at how everyone around me treats Tanjirou, but if I started writing, then why not publish?
❀ུ۪・゚゚・*:༅。.。༅:*゚:*:✼⸙͎۪۫ ۪۪͎۫⸙✼:*:゚*:༅。.。༅:*・゚゚・❀ུ۪
— tanjirou kamado
❀ུ۪・゚゚・*:༅。.。༅:*゚:*:✼⸙͎۪۫ ۪۪͎۫⸙✼:*:゚*:༅。.。༅:*・゚゚・❀ུ۪
is actually manipulative, hypocritical and has an unconscious tendency to divide people into "family" and "others" and is not really interested in "others".
He grew up in an almost isolated family and developed a huge big brother complex against the background of an almost complete lack of communication with non-family. His communication is connected with guessing the mood and feelings of people, which is why people easily like him, but he, being an older brother, absolutely ignores the desire of people to communicate with him and believes that he knows better.
Tanjirou points people out, educates people, takes care of people and leads people, but he is actually indifferent to those whom he does not consider his family. He has no sense of responsibility for those people who like him or who expect attention from him; almost all of his actions are dictated by what his heart feels, but not by what he "should do".
He is deeply emotional and he is true to what he feels; it is he who embodies that type of "cult leader", because he is not so important about what is "right" / "wrong" than what he feels like. That is why he would not be the one who would give his life, because "it is necessary"; he would give his life only if he felt that it was necessary.
And that's actually a huge difference.
That's why he can't have a huge goal like "becoming a pillar", "becoming a village leader" or "ridding the world of demons — because he doesn't feel that he needs it. He wants to just live on the mountain with his family, but he doesn't want (and didn't want) to become a demon slayer. He wants a simple life with his family and he's going to have this ordinary life with his family, he doesn't care about other people.
He is unselfish, sympathetic, gentle and unresponsively devoted only to his family; all his other contacts are caused only by his emotional needs. That is why it is slightly incorrect to talk about him as a "real leader" — he does not care what happens to his non-family and he is not going to take such responsibility.
Look at least at the last chapters in the manga — his communication with Yushiro, the lack of attempts to retrain Inosuke, or at the penultimate ark and Tanjirou's reaction to everything that is happening.
Did he remember anyone in the scenes after? Was he thinking about those people and demons? No. And this absolutely negates the moments with how involved he was in the first chapters.
And do you know why? Because he doesn't care about it.
Or his conversation with Akaza about the "law of nature" (the strongest survives) — Tanjirou was talking nonsense (because what he calls is not the law of nature), but he believes in this nonsense. And you know why, too — because he only believes in his beliefs.
He sympathizes with others, but does not share; he is emotionally attached, but he does not try to understand. He is sure that there is right/wrong, and he is sure that only his beliefs of rightness and wrongness are true. And it's not just "well, that's fine" — he's not even going to rethink his behavior and his beliefs.
If he wasn't the main character, then he wouldn't be so beloved because of his personality, because his personality is monotonous.
Tanjirou is absolutely subordinate only to his emotional reactions and the role of an older brother. Just take away this naivety and external sweetness from him, and you'll understand what I'm talking about. He does not know how and does not want to engage with other people. He reacts emotionally to the stories of demons, to their past — but the longer he interacts with the outside world, the less emotionally connected he becomes with them, the less emotionally involved he becomes.
In the last chapters, he doesn't even react with tears, and you can call it both "character growth" and the fact that Tanjiro has become tougher and is no longer so susceptible to their experiences.
In the entire manga, Tanjirou does not grow as a character, because in order to grow, he must fight with another person and begin to doubt himself and his values, but no one could give him that.
No one in the manga could give him the potential for growth, because a character like Tanjirou grows only in counteractions and tug-of-war.
He is very raw and was only good for developing other characters to motivate them, however, although they were developed, they all revolved only around Tanjirou himself, which made their development almost useless.
All the chapters that were, only revealed him, but they did not allow him to grow above himself. And all those lessons that he had to go through, he did not pass.
And this is why Muzan could not become a good villain.
Because what is the main hero, such is the main villain.
drop the microphone.

I did not touch on his emotional traumas in this chapter, received before and during the manga, because then this huge unnecessary essay would become even more. Also, the obsession to control and interfere with others was only indirectly affected and his behavior with others was not analyzed (Giyuu, Senjuro and Shinjuro, Genya and Sanemi, Inosuke, Shinobu and others).
you can re-read the manga yourself and look at it with a sober eye, and understand that his fraternal complex is reflected in everything and everyone. especially the moment with Giyuu.
