Yay! By the way, I've scrolled through your blog a bit, and I wonder what crossover shipping is like? It interests me, lol!

basically, you know what a crossover is, right? when one show cameo's in another for like, 1 episode. Or a video game has an event feature characters/costumes/items themed after another game/show?

it's basically that, but with ships. Basically, you take a character from one source/fandom, and then ship them with a character from another source/fandom. They seemed to be more popular in the past, especially with disney/non-disney pairings. Legit a whole new level of "these characters never met in canon but i ship them anyways"

honestly I think they mainly lost popularity due to cringe culture being created (plus, most crossover ships can be considered rarepairs tbh). Cause I do remember at some point Elsa x Jack Frost and Hiccup x Merida being popular back before i even knew what tumblr was.

but uuuh, tl;dr: Crossover ships are basically taking taking a character from one media and shipping them with a character from an entirely different media!

Honestly, I wish I could tell you. I think it's mainly cause I really like enemies to lovers and stuff, as well as ships that canonly would be toxic but have the potential to be really cute and healthy. I see Whitty x Updike is one of those ships imo

Just saw an anti on tiktok claim that “You may not be hurting the characters with your content but your still hurting the real people who made the characters” and like,,,,,,,, That doesn’t make any sense?????

Like i’m sorry but unless someone is forcing the creator to look at said content, I’m sure they have the common sense to use a block button. Like I’m sure they can rub a braincell together to know how to avoid content they don’t like. And even then I don’t think they care what happens with their characters at all, like honestly, if you make a peice of media, and that peice of media gets popularized, theres gonna be things you don’t like made of your characters, thats just something you have to live with.

Oh wait idea, what if like, Yandere!Mommy Mearest x GF.

Mommy Mearest spoils her daughter to no end in an attempt to make her realize she doesn’t need anybody else but her, buying GF anything she wants so she doesn’t have to worry about being unhappy. Gf having relationship problems not only because her dad disapproves of it, but because her partners always seem to either become afraid of her, or end up disappearing not long after meet her mother.

Eventually GF gives up on finding a boyfriend cause obviously her mother doesn’t approve of any of them. She starts becoming more obedient, only going out when her mother allows her to, slowly becoming content with how her mother will give her anything she wants. GF soon goes back to being a Mommy’s girl, GF doing everything Mommy Mearest says, and Mommy Mearest but anything her daughter asks for to make sure it stays that way. At least thats how Mommy Mearest plans for it to go.

Yandere!Mommy Mearest is willing to do anything to keep her daughter happy, and truely wants her daughter to have the world at her command, but at the same time she doesn’t want anyone else to help her with that, cause she doesn’t need anyone elses help, they only need each other no matter what GF thinks.

I mean, A mother always knows whats best for her daughter, MM knows that, and she just needs to make sure that GF knows that that too, she doesn’t have a choice.

ok so like, i’ve seen a few people think that sonic is like, in his 30′s, (like not that many at all, but enough to make me chuckle a bit), cause legit when you search up sonic age, it shows up that he’s like, 31 or whatever when you try to google it. but thats like, ig cause due to the series being named after him, it give how long ago the series was first released/introduced and not the actual age of the character.

cause guess what, Sonic the Characters age is 15, which is nearly half of what shows up on google.

Cause on the other had, when you google Shadow the Hedgehogs age, it shows up as 17, cause he was first introduced 17 year’s ago, when in reality he’s actually like, chronologically 50+ years old, Which is way off from what google shows. Like, I’m sure it happens with most if not all of the characters, it’ll show how long ago they were introduced instead of how old they are.

and idk why, but its just the funniest shit to me, cause for some reason with all this information, my brain fucking processes Sonadow/Sonic x Shadow as Schrödinger's ship, this ship could both simultaniously be both problematic and non-problematic and I fucking love it.
