dalton should have been more aware in just how along juno had ended up being. the poor pit was found on the side of the road just wandering and already pretty pregnant. "maybe a call when things started going side ways might have helped." the man offered but he had been a little distracted in getting the dog to the hospital. "she'll be okay. we had to do an emergency c section and we did lose one of the puppies in her birth canal. the other four are healthy though. i'm sorry for worrying you."

⸻ okay . . . maybe jace felt a little bad now about the voicemail he'd left dalton. one he hoped the other didn't get a chance to listen to yet with his phone being dead. the rockstar cleared his throat and waved dalton off. "no, it's uh . . . it's fine, babe. i was more worried about what the hell happened to you and why you hadn't called. but now i know," he explained to dalton and frowned softly. "is juno alright?"
