word count: 640+. My birthday specials were supposed to be under 500 words but it seems that i love him a bit too much 😭 im sorry

You waited for your lover in your shared home, Deciding to wait till nighttime to give him with your gifts.

The gifts you prepared weren't much.

A homemade snezhnayan dinner (you spent time learning the recipes!)

a cake (you're still unsure if he's picky about cake flavors..)

matching bracelets (while buying it, you thought of out childish the idea was. hmph, blaming the harbinger and his love for this!)

your love(??? blaming him again for that.)

and something to remind him about the things he loves. You made sure to pick that item carefully, it was quite small because you wanted your lover to take it with him wherever he goes.

Not too long after, you hear the front door open as you lay down on your bed. "That must be him" You thought. Putting on your footwear, You welcome your lover home.

"Happy birthday, ajax!"

"Y/n! Thank you, i thought you forgot about it." He admitted, hugging you close

You pull away from the tight grip while helping him take off his jacket "How could i forget such an important day? Now before we eat, Whats that?" You say, turning your eyes to the bag he dropped by the doorstep.

"Ah, i was just about to bring it up. Since i had to get back to snezhnaya, i visited my family before going back here." He said, then turning around to get the bag "The items it contains are gifts they wanted me to bring to you- which includes a letter from my mom."

You wonder what she wrote this time. Another invitation to their home? No, you've already visited a few months ago. Something about your ajax? Could be a possibility. "A letter? Lemme see! While i read it, go freshen up. We're having dinner."

"No. I wanna see your reaction on spot." He pouts as he hands you the letter

You simply smile and take the envelope, Excited to see what she your future mother in law wrote.

Skimming through the writings, It initially seemed normal. Until a certain sentence caught your eye..

"-...But there is one topic i was also thinking about. When can i expect marriage between you and ajax? No rush of course!!! Just love eachother and keep yourself safe."

Reading it, you could feel your heart racing and your body heating up. That alone made childe laugh at you

"Hahahahaha! You wouldn't mind if i take a look right?"

"N-not at all." You answered, still flustered over his mother's question

He paused to scan the letter and find the sentence, a few seconds later a big shitty grin grew on his face

You knew he would react like that. Of course he would. Not that you dont mind though

"....Soon" he says, winking. He himself isnt sure if its a joke or not. Could be called a half joke, i guess.

Oh god. The heat is even worse. But you have to reply.. you can't leave him hanging. "Childe!!!"

Once things calmed down, the fatuu recieves his presents, blew his cake (thats saved for dessert) and sat down for dinner.

"The food tastes just like the ones at home! You're such a fast learner sweetheart" He praises

"I mean, its your day today. I should give you the best. Now, do you have anything to say about your trip back home?"

As expected, he did. He looked quite eager to tell you aswell. "Of course. Let me tell you what teucer's reaction was to his new toy you helped me picked out! Or would you like me to start with the really big fish i caught with anthon's help? Hmmmm.. so many stories."

"okay, okay, i'll be listening to anything." Honestly, You're willing to listen for as long as he'd like. Even if it's been hours, you can never get tired of how his eyes light up whenever he talks about his home.

"You're the judge of this one, What do you think?"

Albedo and you we're simply sharing eachother's arts on a cold, silent night right outside of his camp, since he didnt really want a big surpise birthday party. Instead, something simple like this would do.

Your eyes light up at the drawing he presented to you, A neat and detailed drawing of your eyes! "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.... eleven!!! Out of ten, that is."

He smiles in approval, looking at his drawing once more. What feature of you should he draw next?

While he puts the drawing back in a pile, he notices the food you've cooked was finished! "Hey, over there. Lets get back inside." He says as he points to the food

You follow and carry your things back, but one paper fell out of the pile. Picking it up again, you realize its just another "work in progess" you never managed to finish. "Nevermind," you think, and place it on the top of the pile.

While eating the snacks you made, albedo starts to tell stories of experiments he did in the past. You managed to understand and listen, only god knows how. In a matter of time, you started to share what you've been doing aswell.

The both of you took turns telling stories, but a certain piece of paper decided to interrupt you. It was the same "work in progress" again.

Albedo noticed it and picked it up. "Ah, whats this?"

"Nothing! Merely a work in progress... Haha..." You insist as you try to take it back. But put it away from you and started to "see if he can get what its supposed to be".. To be honest, even you forgot.

"Is this... A self-portrait?" He guesses and hands it back to you.

Taking a good look at it, it does so happen to look a bit like you. "I'm pretty sure it is."

"Uh- When do you plan on continuing this?"

You clear your throat "I may or may not have completely forgotten about it. Now, what was i saying again? The story."

"Right- rude of me to interrupt you further." Albedo rubs his head, as apologizing

"Thats alright!"

Listening to your humble voice, he couldnt help but wonder what would your reaction be if he continued the artwork for you? It was a nice idea.

Without you noticing, he grabbed a pencil and started from the sense you were using right now: your mouth. Then the face shape, hair.. pose....

"Woah, how'd you draw it so fast??"

Albedo snaps out of his thoughts because of your voice and looks at what he just drew. It was you making a heart with your hands.. Out of slight embarrasment, he covers his face with his hands

"haha, its alright 'bedo, I think its beautiful! May i keep it?"

a/n: hu tao's birthday special! I was supposed to put sara with this since her bday was only yesterday, but i didnt like the outcome so i decided to do it with hu tao. I enjoyed writing this tbh, ill most likely do more of these. Childe's bday is next and the fatui teaser gave me motivation so ill give him a bday special too <3

She said she got the perfect plan for activities to do on her birthday, but you did not expect her to take you fishing.

A few days ago, She found a book about fishing while putting up posters for promoting the funeral parlor. Well, of course she had to get it! It was on sale, it was a good collection for her bookshelf, and maybe inspiration for poems

"Sooo... this is how we're gonna spend your birthday?" You sigh

Hu tao nods "Isnt it amazing? Ah, looks like you got a fish!"

"Hm? I didnt, what are you talking abo-" you turn to her confused, but it seems like she disappeared.

You look around the area, trying to find hu tao until you hear a voice by the shallow waters.

"sorry i distracted you!!!! Im gonna catch this! WITH MY HANDS" She shouts as she tries to grab the fish with her hands

You run up to your girlfriend so you could get her attention "Uh- are you sure thats a good idea!?"

She didnt respond, but instead caught the fish "It worked my y/n!! get the bucket, quick! its very slipperly.." Hu tao demanded

Hu tao attempting to catch a fish with her hands while it slides out of it multiple times. The scene and thought made you laugh. Almost making you not want to help her and just watch for entertainment. But you still get the bucket from your original fishing spot, and hu tao manages to putthe fish in.

"Phew, that was a lot of work! It'll make a good dinner though, so its worth it" Hu tao said

You wipe the sweat off her forehead "...You know, we couldve just switched locations if you couldnt get fishes with the fishing rod. Anyways, lets get back. You're clothes are in a mess right now"

"Sigh, oh y/n, thats the fun part! hey, after this, how about we take a walk around wuwang hill? Or recite poems? or-"

You interrupted "Yes yes, we'll do it all once your cleaned up. You dont wanna smell like fish, no?"
