     Adelyn  isn’t  a  fighter  ;  her  father  may  have  put  her  into  training  when  she  was  only  a  toddler,   she  may  know  how  to  defend  herself  but  she  still  prefers  a  non - confrontational  resolution  to  solve  her  problems.   yet,   here  she  is,   punching  another  man  in  the  face.   she’s  grateful  for  Remmy,  he’s  far  more  capable  in  . . .  dispatching  . . .   the  hunters  that  have  ruined  their  date  night,   again.   when  the  last  two  pull  out  their  guns  the  raven - haired  woman  freezes,   it’s  not  the  first  time  she’s  stared  down  the  barrel  of  a  gun  but  that  doesn’t  make  it  any  easier,   doesn’t  stop  the  way  her  heart  twists  in  her  chest  or  how  her  blood  runs  cold.

     one  of  them  fires   &   Adelyn  squeezes  her  eyes  shut,   waiting  for  the  bullet  to  pierce  her  body  but  it  never  comes.   instead,   a  solid  mass  of  muscle  envelops  her  completely,   forcing  her  to  stumble  back  a  few  steps  from  the  impact  but  she  knows  immediately  it’s  Remmy.   his  scent  is  comforting,   flooding  her  senses   &   fingers  curl  into  the  fabric  of  his  shirt  as  she  presses  closer  only  to  be  left  standing  there.   she’s  quick  to  turn  her  face  away  from  the  violence  when  her  vampire  finishes  the  fight  before  finding  his  gaze.   feet  hurry   to  him,   hands  gentle  as  she  checks  him  over  for  injuries   &   in  the  back  of  her  head  Adelyn  knows  he  doesn’t  need  help  but  she’s  never  been  so  worried  for  another  person’s  safety  like  she  is  with  Remmy.   a  quiet  gasp,   catching  sight  of  the  bullet  meant  for  her,   lodged  in  the  back  of  his  shoulder   &   she  swallows  past  the  lump  forming  in  her  throat.   he’ll  heal,  he’ll  heal,   he’ll  heal  ;  she  has  to  remind  herself  of  that  as  blood  continues  to  seep  from  the  deep  wound.   palm  cups  his  jaw,   thumb  brushing  against  his  cheek  as  she  gives  him  a  strained  smile.   ❝ let’s  go  home   &   get  you  patched  up,   love. ❞

@madeyourstand​  ( remmy  →  adelyn ) :  A gentle kiss that quickly descends into passion, with little regard for what’s going on around them.

          heart   beats   like   a   drum   against   her   chest,    Remmy   pressed   close   between   her   thighs   where   she   sits   on   the   edge   of   the   pool   table       the   lessons   all   but   forgotten   about   as   they   lean   into   each   other.    lips   touch   softly   at   first,    Adelyn   hesitant   with   the   thought   that   he   may   not   want   this   until   his   grip   on   her   hips   tightens.    she   sighs,    arms   circling   around   his   shoulders   for   fingers   to   slide   in   his   hair    &    deepen   the   kiss.    the   bar   disappears   around   them,    all   she   can   focus   on   is   the   way   he   feels   against   her  ;  how   his   nails   lightly   bite   into   her   flesh,    how   his   taste   affects   her   more   than   anything   else   in   this   world,    how   his   tongue   stokes   the   fire   unfurling   in   her   core.

          desperation   pulls   her   from   him,    panting   for   breath   as   Remmy   burns   a   trail   of   kisses   to   her   neck    &    she   moans   breathlessly   when   sharp   teeth   brush   over   sensitive   skin.    that’s   when   some   of   the   fog   clears   from   her   mind,    remembering   they’re   in   a   very  public   place.    ❝  Rem     ❞    yet,    Adelyn   can’t   seem   to   care   enough   to   really   stop   him,    not   when   it   feels   this   good   to   have   him   on   her   like   this.
