hands on RCT learning with ieiri-san!â ěâ semi-plotted starter.
the fact that free period after lunch was now to be filled with mandatory 30-minute sessions in which students honed ( or tried to, anyways ) their affinity for reverse curse technique was a total stiff on her free-scrolling social media, or training with itadori and fushiguro, or punching in a customized latte order on her phone and having ichiji-san go pick it up from the nearest coffee shop ... or, or â â put simply, it inconveniences nobara.  it intrudes on her carefully carved-out sliver of 'me time' during her school day. it makes a bit of a mess of everything she knew as routine. it has her annoyed, and can anyone really blame her? she'd like to think she had been getting adjusted to her scheduling before this slight change!
instead of  making a beeline for the cafeteria as she'd have done a week ago, her feet steer her towards the infirmary wing of tĹkyĹ jujutsu tech. instead of making a beeline for the cafeteria as she'd have done a week ago, she's regulating the flow of her cursed energy as she walks the halls because anything other than that just wasn't optimal when it came to this.
â â not this,  so she's mentally checking off of what all she could scrape from memory from gojĹ-sensei's slight lecturing on it:
1) it's incredibly complex in its application and 2) just because you were born being able to see curses didn't mean you'd be able to use reverse cursed technique, and just because you were born being able to both see curses and use jujutsu didn't mean you'd have what it takes to use reverse cursed technique.Â
it stands to be one of those theoretical concepts whose practical usage sounds way too complicated when put to paper, way too complex in being practical versus theoretical. so much that it should perhaps stand more in being seen as a theoretical concept over a practical usage â jujutsu itself is not just a theoretical concept.Â
reverse cursed technique, when properly applied, is a practical usage. it's a theoretical concept, yes, but a practical skill with practical uses â  healing being a foremost usage.Â
though, only a handful of sorcerers could say they understood the theoreticality of reverse cursed technique enough to apply it practically.Â
ieiri shĹko was one such person.
in any case, nobara digs deep into her patience and stamps down her annoyance. it was no good an emotion to have when it came to the regulation of her cursed energy. it made her feel clumsy, sloppy, ill-equipped. kugisaki nobara was not ill-quipped. she liked to think that she was very equipped, in fact. she could do this.
by the time she stops in front of the fusuma that leads into the makeshift classroom ieiri-san would be instructing in, both attitude and cursed energy are tempered to manageable levels. she could do this.
slightly creased skirt is smoothed and she slides open the fusuma, stepping into the room,  a keen eye taking note of the lone cursed corpse laid out on the long table in the middle of the room meant to serve as her subject of practical test. of course, itadori and fushiguro were nowhere to be found.
she was the only student in ieiri-san's makeshift classroom, not necessarily something to be surprised about. sorcerers weren't in abundance, after all. in any case, fushiguro was on an assignment and itadori was busy training. they were rotating participation in this class and that meant that today was her day, and because it was her day:
it meant that nobara was the only one left in ieiri-san's capable hands for 30 minutes.
