I'm a strong believer in yaoi and yuri liker fellowship but it drives me crazy when people are like "yaoi is objectively bad because there's so much rape. Unlike yuri which is only ever cute fluffy slice of life!" And then you check out the show they recommended you and it's called like "Rose🌹Forever: Blooming Furiously Into The Pitch Dark Night" and the description is "Older sister Protag Chan battles the decision to leave for college as her love for her 2nd grade younger sister grows into something she can no longer hide. When her parents divorce, she decides to make a move and kidnap her, now it's up to her to make her dearest sister forgive her." Or something like..... to each their own bro but I really do not understand getting mad at yaoi for having some taboo or "problematic" features from inside your glass house? I kinda feel like sexual harassment and age gaps tends to generally be a trope of especially 2000s romance anime. :P kinda tired of seeing the discourse. And I don't do discourse and I still see it a weird amount. Don't even get me started on "yaoi is made for girls so it's problematic" and then claim yuri is never. It just feels like a lot of recycled "men are inherently predatory and women are inherently unable to predate upon."

Plus a lot of the comparisons are like apples to oranges. Ppl will pit yaoi and yuri against eachother and have yaoi be represented by like an eroge or even a parody

The only thing I can agree with is 90% of the time yaoi has an uglier art style. Plz.
