Regardless, Dokyeom still took care of you like you were his own friend, as you were close in age to your brother, and he always considered you as part of the group. He was always sure to include you in plans even if your brother didn’t, making sure you had a comfortable high school experience, and continuing to gift you snacks on exam days – even if you didn’t blush profusely like you used to.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, you had followed in your brother’s footsteps and decided to attend the same college as him, which ironically enough, DK had chosen the same college as well. The duo was still thriving more than ever even when they had found other friends in their separate majors. DK was also still roped into tutoring your brother in his classes, even though he had passed them semesters ago himself.

You had just moved in with your brother after your first year, and you two had decided to save some money and just commit to sharing an apartment a mile off campus. It was easy living with him, especially because you two had similar friend groups and could comfortably coexist. You also enjoyed the privacy it gave you, as your brother spent most of his time at his frat house even though he had his own place, typically crashing on one of his brothers’ futons every weekend.

You took advantage of this, blasting music when you’d get ready for your own nights out, or spending nights like tonight shamelessly binging a show or whatever book you were reading, eventually getting bored and pleasuring yourself in the serenity of your quiet apartment.

also, this is just friendly advice from a writer to the general readership, i’m answering these modern au requests bc i like talking about my modern au but…

some of you really need to include more words when requesting something from writers in general; for example, at least say hi or ask how they’re doing or say how much you liked xyz thing they wrote or the blog aesthetic, anything really

i feel like that’s not asking too much, considering writers take time out of their day to create content for free; it’ll also make the writer more inclined to answer your requests/ asking for requests without anything else might upset the human at the other end off the screen

i get it, you’re excited about the content and the characters and the game, so use that excitement and TELL YOUR WRITERS THAT YOU ENJOY THEIR WRITING

ALSO if someone’s rules/ pinned/ bio says they’re not taking requests, don’t send requests (that one seems like common sense but you’d be surprised)

again, this is not me voicing displeasure at the people in my inbox; this is just meant as advice so the relationship between writers and readers can be nurtured and won’t wither away <3

ALSO I just had a look at NOMAD after I found this other group that debuted like literally just now XLOV man I love both groups so much. Thank you so much for telling me about NOMAD they really are so magical I can't explain it at all besides what you said.

I'll split it into 3 categories:

Cute n Lovesick:

FIFTY FIFTY- Everyone knows them for Cupid but SOS is so beautiful and its so modern cottage core fairy

Weeekly- They are so so adorable and again they just scream you

STAYC- Modestly cute? Like there is something so reserved about the cute that again is just you. Very elegant.

IZ*ONE- Legends, they disbanded but still so cool, they are an experience to listen to

ALICE- They debuted as ELRIS and they are so sweet, they did have a new song last year so I think they're still going. The members are genuinely cool in this group.

Sporty Spice:

MADEIN- Like your chill cool cousins in group aesthetic and member personalities

fromis_9- Whenever I talk to you I hear a fromis_9 song in my mind

LOONA- I don't listen to them that much but they do have some brilliant songs, they're also slightly mythical baddie but the sportiness is so vivid

izna- Basically if Nerissa wasn't in Enhypen she would be in izna 100%

Mythically Baddie:

XG- Definitely rap centric but they are a treat and a half they've got culture and music for sure- They're a Japanese group formed by a kpop company.

GFRIEND- More fairy mythical than baddie but in my heart these are the og cool girls- they disbanded but still such a genuinely good group. They did have a mini comeback with a new song Season of Memories but I think they are still disbanded

PURPLE KISS- I don't mention them that much but the consistency in their vocals and themes are underrated and god tier Zombie was my personality when it came out. And I know you'd appreciate them too.

f5ve- There is something so nostalgic about them almost like music that would feature on some old anime. It's such a fun time they are jpop so not kpop but they are so quirky and cool and I think you'd appreciate it since you also get it you know.

Dreamcatcher- If SKZ and ATEEZ had a gg baby.
