whole family is selkies. yes they’re all essentially stranded in Night City, but at least they have each other.

both parents’ mothers were also selkies. they were also trapped. al + lettie didn’t have a good time either.

as part of her contract with arasaka, paola had to give her coat, ensuring her loyalty (such as it is).

did originally offer her coat to Finny before they’d split, and Finny would always return it before either one had to go home (for Finny, in this case, her temporary housing). after they broke up, as much as Finny wanted to keep it so that Lala would have to go with her into the Badlands, she returned it a final time.
