𝑠𝑎𝑏𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑎  𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑑𝑠  𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟  𝑡𝘩𝑒  𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑣𝑒  𝑖𝑛  𝑡𝘩𝑒  𝑘𝑖𝑡𝑐𝘩𝑒𝑛  𝑜𝑓  𝘩𝑒𝑟  𝑎𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡  ,  a  lit  joint  hanging  from  the  corner  of  her  mouth  as  the  scent  of  a  home  -  cooked  meal  floated  through  the  air  .  she  heard  the  front  door  to  her  apartment  go  behind  her  as  she  sliced  through  another  onion  ,  turning  ,  knife  in  hand  ,  in  time  to  see  the  recognisable  figure  of  her  sporadic  boyfriend  appear  before  her  .  she  let  out  a  sigh  that  was  both  exasperated  and  frustrated  in  equal  measure  ,  slamming  the  knife  down  behind  her  so  hard  that  the  chopping  board  jumped  up  ever  so  slightly  .  sabrina  turned  back  to  him  ,  dark  hues  boring  through  him  .  she  should’ve  just  told  him  to  leave  ,  but  she  still  hadn’t  managed  to  kill  the  part  of  her  that  found  comfort  in  the  grip  they  held  on  each  other  .
