Isabelle sat on the floor of Elliot's apartment as they played a card game together. It was quiet, neither of them liking to talk much. Still, something felt natural and comfortable about the conversations they did have.

"Do you remember when we used to play this game at my house all the time? We were obsessed with it," Isabelle smiled at the fond memory.

“You’re cool, Elliot,” she tells him softly.

Plot: Your muse can tell the difference between who is Mastermind (MM) around and who is Elliot or muse can’t tell the difference between the two. Also maybe muse lives with him or is staying over?

MM was around today and he wanted his sugary coffee from the coffee shop, he hadn’t been out for a while and so he had his hood pulled up over his head to help ease his anxiety.

Glancing over seeing the familiar face that’s been spending time with Elliot as he got ready to head out, he couldn’t remember if he was told about or not.

Awkward conversation if he wasn’t mentioned and MM didn’t like awkward conversations, he was already awkward and clumsy enough.

Elliot had asked Isabelle if she could watch Flipper for him while he went out of town. Being his... whatever they were calling this, and loving Flipper, she of course said yes.

Elliot lent her a spare key to get into his apartment. She went there to check on Flipper, greeting her excitedly as usual.

"Hey there, you cutie!"

Flipper wagged her tail in response, also fond of Isabelle.

As Isabelle leaned down to pet her, she noticed Elliot's desktop was on, which was unusual—he was normally so secure, sometimes to a paranoid extent.

She noticed the screen read "f-society", which was all too familiar now to the world, including her. Knowing how detrimental the group had been, she couldn't stop herself from walking over to the desk, curious what Elliot was doing involving that name.

Then she saw it...

Isabelle and Elliot both arrived at work at the same time. They get on the elevator together to go up to the office they work in. Between the 19th and 20th floor, the elevator suddenly stops and the lights flicker. Isabelle’s expression changes from a smile to panic. “What the hell…”

Isabelle laid next to Elliot on his bed. They had stayed quiet for a while, but Isabelle was finding it hard to silence her busy thoughts.

“El…?” She whispered without turning to look at him.

“Okay, open your eyes,” Isabelle says to Elliot softly as she places the birthday cake down on the table in front of him. It was Elliot’s birthday, and Isabelle knew he didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, but she still wanted to do something to make him feel special. She felt he deserved it.

This time Isabelle was less shy with her actions. She wanted Elliot to know what she wanted. She knew it was okay to. She truly did feel safe with him. It was a safety she hadn’t felt with anyone else.

Isabelle was laying on Elliot’s couch watching a movie with him. They randomly found it at Walmart when trying to find something to entertain them. It looked stupid, but was cheap. So far it was just weird.

“Who the hell thought this was good?”

“Thanks for this,” she smiles at him. “We can run to an ATM afterwards and I can pay you back?” She offers. She’s used to paying for everything herself, it’s weird to her to be taken care of.

“You’re cold. Come here.”

Isabelle hugs Elliot back softly, making sure he wants to be hugged back, too.

“Are you okay, Elliot? Did something happen?” Isabelle is slightly worried. Elliot usually isn’t the first one to display physical affection unless he needs comfort. She wonders if maybe he is finally growing closer to her, though.

Isabelle nods. “Yeah, I’m an assistant there. I sit at the desk across from Elliot. I don’t really do the stuff he does, nor do I understand it as well.”

𝙿𝚕𝚘𝚝: Mr Robot is taking over Elliot’s mind. Isabelle talks to Mr Robot and calms him down so MM can come back.

“Ell? Elliot?” Isabelle tried to the her friend’s attention. He seemed lost in his own head. Was he bothering him again? She needed to help him, but how? She had never really had an interaction with Mr. Robot before. Elliot has only vaguely described him. She could tell Elliot wasn’t Elliot right now though.

Isabelle felt herself melt as Elliot’s lips connected to hers. After the moment of surprise, she kissed him back. She never expected Elliot to kiss her. She knows he dislikes the idea of physical affection, but she is grateful that he has let his walls down around her.

Isabelle was already having a bad day. She arrived to work late and tired. She had run around all morning trying to prepare for the higher ups to come in. One had already complained that his coffee was cold, another that Isabelle talked too much. Now she was trying to keep up with the arguing in the conference room while taking notes. She couldn’t tell what was going on anymore. The final straw for her was when Terry yelled at her and made a sexist statement to her. She was tired of being treated like nothing by her bosses. She left the conference room and went back to her desk, tears rolling down her face.

Isabelle got out of bed and went over to her to her dresser. She picked out her biggest shirt and sweats. “How are these?” She held them out to him.

“I bought whatever a Christmas in a cup of coffee is, it’s not bad really, tasting the hint of peppermint.” Elliot commented as he was handing another cup of coffee over “So bought you one to.”

“I think I lo-” Isabelle was quickly interrupted by the train’s loud intercom and the train coming to a halt. This was their stop. She could tell him later on.

Isabelle looked back at Elliot with a shy smile. She liked that she didn't feel anxious around him, like she could trust him. She didn't feel that with many people.
