i have two types of favourites at this point ! we have what I would fondly call the sillies, to a degree these characters all give off the oh boy silly guys ! sampo, caelus, denki, nikolai ! and then we have the guys who have been through too fucking much, they generally are always in the midst of the angst suffering. they also sometimes suffer from the being a tiny bit too serious ( not all of them but you know ) for me these are characters like gepard, akutagawa and aki !

SO. i feel like this dynamic depends on angela's stance on witches. if she's pro or even indifferent to witches, i'd say they'd lean friendship to familial, and then obviously if she's not a fan of witches... there's some antagonism to be had. there's also a bit of conflict in the sense that joon tends to be anti-hunter if only bc he's of the belief that supernatural beings don't deserve to be persecuted purely for being what they are. it's a complex topic though, bc there are for sure some — vampires in particular — who sometimes pose genuine danger to mundanes, and he's not in support of that, either.

kinda dig the concept of him potentially being a bit of a mentor, in a way, though. like, if she's only hunting down vamps who are actively and regularly posing a threat to people, he'd be willing to help her. lend her knowledge, maybe even share some of his books on the topic, help her get her hands on items she might need... even patch her up in the event that one of her hunts goes awry. he could have been helping her from her earlier days and helped her find her footing or he could be a newer acquaintance — i'm down for anything. JUST SOME THOUGHTS he's very older brother-coded tbh

It's certainly not the first time someone has said that about her , and it certainly 𝚠𝚘𝚗'𝚝 be the last. PLEASE found family is one of my favourite dynamics to write and develop ok, i am so absolutely here for it. we talked about it a little bit in ims but i do honestly think minjoon will make for such a good big brother (possibly vaguely father-esque?) figure for auggie, like he is going to love that kid (and probably relate to him pretty hard in some aspects too tbh) and want to do everything he can to help & support him. he's stupid levels of understanding, patient, and gentle so i just feel like they'll mesh really well? nonverbal episodes won't faze him in the slightest, nor will any emotional outbursts/lashing out — he'll just be there supporting the kiddo through it however he can. there's also no doubt in my mind that his apartment will be open to august if he ever wants somewhere warm to crash and/or food to eat, and while he can stay for as long or as short as he likes, minjoon won't try to force him out of his independence (though he will try to check in if he doesn't hear from him for a couple days). if august wants to come and go as he pleases, that's just fine with joon so long as he's staying safe.

as a bonus, having minjoon as found family also includes suwon (his cat & familiar) who's another great emotional support. he's v good at being a comforting presence and i can so easily see him curling up with auggie to keep him company
