it's not exactly a strange statement to make, but it does make him look over at her nonetheless, dark eyebrows raised. since knowing her, and knowing what's inhabiting her, he's tried to stick around a little more than usual. he's not exactly helpful with it, he's not exactly helpful in general, not in the way that anyone truly needs him to be, but bj is oftentimes distracting, and that more often than not does the trick. he wasn't trying to be distracting. it's probably why she's spoken up. and he can't exactly start now - now the timing is off, the bit wouldn't land. he's an ass, but he can't be one outright or the whole act falls apart.

omg i don't think I ever talked about it anywhere but there's this Very specific character ability set that i actually picked up for bj from the adventure zone where a ghost manifests and can do two of three things - be seen, touch and be touched, or be heard - but i put a small personal twist to it where he can do all three but it really turns him into a short fuse and he's more prone to being just an outright ass or losing control of himself more frequently when making himself fully corporeal
