i love how much care you have for your muse. it's reflected not only in your writing, but also when we're plotting, your headcanons, aesthetics etc. it's always inspiring to see someone so dedicated to their muse!

What is something about my portrayal[s] that sticks out?

I'm just here to sob about maeve and make everything orange for the vibes! it's what she deserves -

birdie rambles;   you know what I think is wonderful?   how absolutely insanely OP maeve is in her marvel    /    dc verse.    like   -   she could straight up annihilate cities if not countries if she wanted.   the power is right there.   but does she?   no.   she’s so conscience led and would absolutely never.

 and yet for the people around her?    unless you know her well,   unless you get to know her very nature...   that fear and suspicion is always there.   waiting for something to finally make her snap and make a villain of her.

𝗟𝗢𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗨𝗗𝗜𝗢 𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗘...

… It’s so… cold… too cold… You can feel the nerves in your body numbing with every second.

𝗟𝗢𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗧𝗘. 𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗡𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗖𝗘… 𝟭%

It’s almost… unbearable. This frosty, empty feeling — leaving you in a pit of your own desolate mind. Everything is foggy. It’s giving you a headache. All you can see is the bright, blurry screen in front of you. The vivid colors of the desktop pierce through your eyes, blinding you, keeping you from doing anything else. Keeping you from leaving.

You want to leave, don’t you? To escape.

But you can’t. You can’t even manage lifting your hand off of the mahogany desk you’re sitting at. The light in front of you is inviting you to stay.

… Or is it something else that’s keeping you here?

𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗡𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗖𝗘… 𝟮𝟲%

The thought of that scares you. It feels untrue. Unfactual. A lie. A joke, only if you could ever call this type of feeling humorous. You aren’t even sure if you have the audacity, let alone the energy to. But what else is there to do? In this bitter prison, all you have left is yourself — and your thoughts.

But are you truly alone here? Or is that very idea the real delusion?

You’re not sure if you even feel like yourself.

𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗡𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗖𝗘… 𝟱𝟴%

No, you’re certain… You definitely don’t feel like yourself. Your body feels like a stranger to you now. Like a stagnant camera, recording your surroundings. It’s exhausting. Being stuck, forced to watch as you make choices you know you wouldn’t take, move in ways you wouldn’t dare to. Lie to those who know you well, and watch as they don’t even realize the difference.

Now, you feel an ache. In your mind, and in your heart. Your struggling has tired you. You have to stay put now. You don’t have a choice. You need to rest. If you keep struggling, it might take away your ability to breathe next.

𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗡𝗩𝗢𝗜𝗖𝗘… 𝟳𝟮%

And while you can sense that your existence is coming close to an end, keeping you locked into a perception of fear, and terror. There’s something else there… A strangely peaceful feeling. Something warm. Warmer than how you originally felt. The more you relax, the better you feel. It fills you with an experience of ecstasy. You don’t want to feel this way. Who would want to feel good about their own disappearance from this earth? You definitely. And yet, you just can’t help but feel peace with this body’s chaos.

Rest. You can rest now. Finally, You are calm. You are at peace.

Yes, Among Us. Here in the arctic, you’ll have to rely on your personal strengths to survive. And the only person you’ll be able to trust in this cold, is yourself.

marvel / dc wishlist: okay but. consider. muses who come back from the future for whatever reason ( be it to change things or by accident or to preserve the future ) && them being from far enough in the future that the only records of maeve are painting her as a villain. her powers are hella terrifying after all, especially to outsiders, and she does all her work in the shadows. it's easy for history to blame her for things that she had nothing to do with && whilst she was very loved by those she helped... those were people mostly without voices to the masses.

just imagine coming back, expecting a true monster, and instead she's just quiet and gentle and deeply sad but good person. imagine seeing her worries about her powers and knowing... yeah. yeah she's going to be labelled as everything she'd never let herself be.

 birdie rambles;    it’s easy to forget how quiet and subtle maeve is post Everything...   until someone sees her properly smile or laugh and they realise they’ve never actually heard / seen it before.   it’s not that she’s not a happy person,  she’s just...   coping in her own way.

birdie rambles;  I’m making a gifset nobody has ever asked for of what maeve looks each canon season of the show  (  based on things my fc was in the years the seasons were released  )  and I’d like to say 

someone please hold her.  freshly post coma maeve and her whilst she’s in her self-imposed banishment break every bit of my heart.  but also I just saw the prompt   ❛❛ I died once. At least, the world thought I did. You know what happened? Nothing. ❜❜    on a sentence starter and if you don’t think that’s the most Maeve thing ever...

 birdie rambles;   does anyone else think about maeve can get smiles even from the most   ‘smiles are rare’   muses purely out of how genuinely gentle and lovely she is?  like... I talk a lot about the melancholic undertones but one big smile from her can absolutely melt people.
