@glxciated sent : "I'm feeling restless... would you care to join me for a walk?!"
Jill's...insistence was a bit of a surprise, Clive looking to her with a bit of concern as he considered her for a moment. "I...Uh, sure. I could use some fresh air." Deciding it might be something important, Clive stood from the table, taking one last drink before pushing the table in, and making his way to her side. He waited for just a moment, giving her a brief smile before making his way toward the doors, sure she would follow. He was curious why she was so insistent he joined her, but he was sure she'd tell him in time.

@glxciated sent : Casually sits in Clive's lap.
He's a little surprised by Jill's sudden move to sit in his lap, but it's welcomed without complaint, an arm wrapping around her waist to keep her seated if she thought this would be something she did for only a moment to tease him. "Making yourself comfortable, Jill?" He chuckled, resting his head against her own as he momentarily forgot the missive in his other hand.

ooc!glxciated seems possessive of you, brah
I'm not really sure how to respond to this, cause she's not, at all. We're just actually friends?
What makes you think that? I'm certainly curious.

@glxciated sent : ❛ i’ve never done something like this before. ❜ Subtle Smut Starters || Accepting
There was just the softest chuckle at her statement, drawing his eyes away from her body to instead meet her gaze. The nervousness was blatant on her face, and despite how relaxed Clive seemed, he was feeling much the same. The way his heart raced in his chest was something she could surely feel, with her hands upon it, but he tried to keep himself calm. They both wanted this, they had already said as much, but her added concern was like she was prepping him for disappointment. Something he couldn't believe was going to be the case. "Neither have I...We'll just have to take it slow."
Despite his desire to have his hands simply ripping her clothing off, the hands at her hips slowly moved to the front of her blouse, starting to work the buttons open from the bottom up. All the while, his gaze remained on hers, not wanting to potentially embarrass her by leering at her like a hungry animal would a meal. Not to mention the chance of embarrassing himself by being awestruck by her. So his hands continued to blindly work up, stopping only when the last button was undone and her blouse sat loose upon her shoulders, only barely revealing what lay beneath. "Do you need a moment, Jill?"

@glxciated sent : Hides behind Clive. Because he's a bigger target, obviously. Has anyone seen this man's chest?
"Jill, I know I'm a Shield...but not that kind." He sighed, but did nothing to move from in front of her, arms crossing loosely in front of his chest.

@nameaprice sent : "You know... there's something that would look really good around your neck."
"Around my...neck?" Clive echoed cautiously, a hand lifting to touch at his throat as if imagining what she could possibly mean by that. Judging by how she was looking at him, he could make a few assumptions...but decided to ask rather than assume. "And what would that 'something' be, Sivir?"

@glxciated sent : ❝ By the Founder, Clive! If I didn't know any better I would say you've rolled around in Ambrosia's stable! ❞ Unprompted || Always Accepting!
He was almost upset at the insinuation, but he knew he wasn't as his freshest at that moment. His armor was chaffing, and frankly he hadn't been in a position to remove it fully in days, only able to take pieces off at a time to relax, and only for a few moments. "Sorry, Jill. I told myself I'd pry off the armor and bathe once we made it to Martha's Rest, but it's been longer than I thought." Not to mention a harder fight. The monsters around were for some reason far more active than before.

@lacedaether sent : ❝ Had you taken much longer to return I may have been forced to form a search party, my lord. ❞ Unprompted || Always Accepting!
His head turned gently to regard her, a momentary pause before a wide smile curled his lips. Clive didn't hesitate to turn towards her, even taking a step to close the distance between them. "I'm sorry to have worried you, my lady." The words were spoken with a gentle chuckle to go with them, those blue eyes dancing as his gaze kept to her. "Would you care to confirm that I'm actually here?" He opened his arms gently, as if beckoning her to come to his embrace.

@phoenixfiiire sent : "You're awake. How... do you feel?" There was obvious hesitance in Joshua's voice as he spoke and waited with baited breath for his brother's answer. In truth, he hadn't expected Clive to ever open his eyes again after the events at Origin. But he had, though... had what cost?
Opening his eyes was something...unexpected. Part of him had expected that moon was the last thing he was ever going to see, that he'd never come home. Part of him had thought he had lost almost everything, so why wake? Joshua was gone, death wasn't something to be undone, and the curse was taking him. Wouldn't it be better to sleep eternal? Yet, here he was, laying in a soft bed in what appeared to be the Hideaway, the interior of Tarja's infirmary oh so familiar. He had only been staring at the ceiling, lost in disbelief when that voice rang in his ear, blue eyes widening as he slowly turned his head as if afraid a ghost had come to visit.
"J-Joshua...?" He spoke in disbelief, already struggling to pull himself from the bed to reach his brother. "Joshua, is that really you?" One could almost hear the tears in his voice, despite how weak it still was. Vain attempts to rise went nowhere, barely even turning on the bed to better face Joshua, thinking somehow that this was a dream, or maybe something else. If they both had passed on...was this maybe the afterlife? Yet, reaching for his brother with his left hand proved that false, the stone, unfeeling fingers coming into focus, even if his gaze was mostly on his sibling. The question asked went ignored, Clive too focused on his brothers miraculous recovery.

@nameaprice sent : 🧪 + What is the most awful thing you've done? Truth Serum! || Accepting!
"That's..." There was a long list to choose from, but the words were falling from his lips before he could think to choose which one. "I was an assassin, for an empire I was forced to serve. Rather than risk my own life by refusing, I killed people in their sleep, or while they were unaware. There was no honorable combat."

@phoenixfiiire sent : If Meg hasn't sent it yet - @sapientiiae Who do you ship with Clive? || Accepting!
Okay, I'm enjoying the dynamic between Clive and Zelda so much. Honestly, I need to work on the reason Clive is in Hyrule, but aside from that, they're meshing so well!
The slow building of their relationship is just fantastic, getting closer bit by bit. I loved the way Zelda reacted to Clive holding her hand intentionally, it was so cute!
She already got a silent confession from him, he's going to have to actually say something to her soon.
It's a good ship, and it's gonna get better, for sure.

@defiant-ex-soldiers sent : ((Cloud)) "Where am I? and who are you?"
The fact that the blond was able to ask questions was a good sign, especially after finding him out cold on the side of the road. How he managed to retain even his clothes after such a thing was a miracle in itself, with banditry on the rise in Dhalmekia. He had awoken at the slightest touch, and while he seemed confused, he at least seemed to know himself well enough to not try asking Clive such a question. Not that he could answer it.
"You can call me Cid." He gave a name that wasn't quite his own, just in case the man wasn't as unaware as he appeared to be. Clive Rosfield wasn't a name to be bandied about. "As for where you are, you're on the roadside to Boklad, in Dhalmekia. Ring any bells?" A man without his memory could be a dangerous one, but could he just simply be lost? He should at least know of Dhalmekia, even if he was the sheltered sort, but something told Clive that wasn't likely to be the case. Not with that worn armor and used blade. A hand was offered to help the man from the ground, and get him on his feet.

@gcldfanged sent : evil may have created it , may have left its mark on it , but evil does not rule it . Van Hellsing Starters || Accepting!
Jae had a good argument. Magic wasn't inherently evil just because it had come from a God who sought to wipe humanity from the twins using it. It was being used for evil by those who thought they could harness those who had natural access to it to their own ends, draining the land of vitality itself to satiate their own desires for a simple easy life. Evil people used magic to evil ends, but there were also those who used it for good. He was one, and it seemed like Jae was as well. A sigh slipped from Clive, running a hand through his messy locks, seemingly tired from the thoughts this was provoking in him.
"You're not wrong...but I can't help but think we'd be better off without magic entirely." He grumbled as he leaned back in his chair, drumming his fingers along the table next to his glass of wine. Discussing his plans with Jae-Hyo wasn't necessarily something he had been considering, but having been asked after, he wasn't going to hide them either. "There's too much reliance on it. Look what happens when the crystals start to fail. They act like it's the end of the world, yet here we are, with all the things that we need." Life was too easy without magic, and that ease had made too many reliant on it. He could recall women at a well regretting that they had to pump water from it instead of using a crystal.

@fire-branded sent : "some things are better left forgotten ." Van Hellsing Starters || Accepting!
A sigh escaped him at the suggestion, his arms resting heavily on his knees as he hunched over from the thought. The idea of Rosaria being left in the annals of history irked him more than he thought to admit, but clearly his Father had seen that written across his face as their conversation turned to what was once their home. Mismanagement by the Sanbreque, by his mother, had left his once great duchy in ruin. The people were hardly cared for, and Rosalith was a closed fortress to those whom weren't already within her walls. Black Shields stalked the roadside, making a mockery of their namesakes, and yet it seemed too far gone to truly help.
"You're not saying that Rosaria is beyond saving, are you?" The question was poised with care, looking to the elder Rosfield with a look of sorrow in his eyes. To imagine his home overgrown and lost to time, just like some of the villages he had seen on the outskirts, it was painful to imagine. Part of him hoped that what was meant was the reason that things had gotten to this point, that forgetting the hate and anger towards those who had ravaged his home was more important. Kupka had broken the castle itself, but the populace and lands had been broken long before that meatheaded fool had wandered in.
