❝  Just  another  invention  ,  really  ,  though  in  the  wrong  hands  these  trousers  can  be  pretty  dangerous  .  Oh  well  ,  lessons  learnt  I  suppose  .  ❞     Wallace  still  kept  the  trousers  around  to  serve  as  a  reminder  ,  of  a  lesson  he  all  most  certainly  had't  learnt  from  .

❝  How  about  you  take  a  look  at  some  of  our  other  inventions  ,  hm  ?  ❞

Last  time  things  had  gone  pretty  out  of  hand  ,   just  like  any  other  time  the  full  moon  had  presented  itself.  Though  ,  admittedly  as  startling  as  most  instances  of  the  curse  are  ,  he'd  ALMOST  forgotten  to  prepare  this  month  .  He  had  just  so  happened  to  catch  sight  of  Gromit'ss  calendar  on  his  way  down  into  the  living  room  and  he  thought  he  had  better  reassure  Gromit  nonetheless  .   

Just  under  two  weeks  was  never  a  lot  of  time  yet  it  would  be  a  nice  medium  on  crunch  time  for  an  inventor  and  his  dog  .   

❝   It's one thing for an invention t'go out of whack , another for the inventor to go completely out of whack me-self , ey , lad ?  ❞    He  would  certainly  refrain  from  experimenting  directly  on  himself  again  ,  that's  what  got  them  in  this  mess  in  the  first  place  so...  around  himself  it  was  ! 

Joining  Gromit  on  the  reclined  arm  chair  across  from  the  beloved  pooch  he  kicks  back  his  feet  onto  the  footstool  . 

❝   Not to worry . I'll start working on some blueprints for the Burrow Sweet Burrow Rabbit Housing Device after a nice cuppa'tea !  ❞

eyes look up from their paper, remaining wide at the question. head tilts slightly as gaze shifts to the side in doubt. wallace wasn't known for having memory sharp as a tack — thankfully, gromit was there to help remedy that.

still, he's surprised wallace remembered, given the last full moon had gone ... a bit haywire. nothing compared to the first instance with his ' condition, ' though it's obvious finding a right method of going about this was going to take some trial and error. they hadn't expected the issue to be an ongoing one, but what's something a little ingenuity couldn't fix ?

gromit had made a point to mark the full moons on their calendar — wallace having remembered the upcoming date on his own accord without gromit's reminder did assure the dog that perhaps they could prepare ahead of time.

Ah,  well  ,  this  was  inconvenient  he  had  come  out  to  the  woods  to  be  as  far  away  from  town  as  possible  ,  it  wasn't  quite  late  enough  for  the  moon  to  rise  just  yet  but  he  certainly  didn't  want  to  keep  any  company  . 

Seeing  the  canine (@airxn ) creature  from  a  distance  he  stands  . 

❝   Sorry  to  reign  in  on  your  territory  ,  pooch  ,  this  might  be  a  bit  of  a  shocker  if  you  stick  around  ,  mind  you  .    ❞   By  which  he  means   ...

 ❝  Oh  !   Well,-    ❞   Taken  aback  though  disbelief  is  short  lived  when  the  reason  comes  to  light  . 

 ❝  I  suppose  we  bald  chaps  do  look  a  lot  alike  .    ❞  He  decides  he  isn't  at  all  offended  .  Maybe  he  should  start  a  club  !  Gain  more  friends  ! ... If he did that he wouldn't have time to install that new sheepfeeder he's been working on for Shaun . That ought to stop that rambunctious , little tike from eating his newspaper as it comes through the letter box .

A  typical  cheese  spread  ,  anything  from  Monterey  Jack  to  Cheddar  !  It  was  about  that  time  again  for  afternoon  tea  and  of  course  cheese  !  Turning  to  his  side  he  noticed  he  had  company  . 

❝ Oh  !  Would  you  look  at  that  !  You  must've  smelt  all  this  cheese  ! ❞     Wallace  cuts  a  sufficable  piece  of  gorgonzola  off  and  plates  it  up  ,  offering  up  .  ❝ Fret  not  ,  ol'  chuck  !  There's  plenty  to  go  around  !  ❞

'  you're  really  creative  ,  huh  '

And  yet  lacks  the  confidence  socially  ,  masking  with  a  grin  he  nods  .  His  eyes  seem  to  switch  over  to  the  robotic  trousers  ,  focusing  on  those  mostly  . 

❝   Oh  no  ,  no  ,  no  .  I  made  them  to  help  me  with  tasks  like  walking  me  dog  ,  or  painting  the  ceiling   !  ❞   He  admitted  .  It  was  a  hobby  ,  a  compulsive  hobby  .  Remote  in  hand  he  shifts  the  joystick  a  little  ,  causing  the  trousers  to  walk  around  as  the  two  of  them  stood  aside  from  it   . 

❝   People  have  commissioned  my  brand  for  security  locks  and  to  protect  their  crops  ,  alarm  systems  when  there  is  a  spot  of  bother  terrorising  the  town  .  And  I'm  always  at  their  service  if  they  need  me  because  this  doesn't  feel  like  work  to  me  .  ❞  He's  more  in  his  element  just  talking  about  inventions  he's  made  it  seems  .    ❝  Would  you  be  interested  ,  perchance  ?  ❞

"YOU'RE REALLY CREATIVE, HUH . . ." It only takes a few glances to surmise that. This old fellow had quite the collection of contraptions, all of which amazed and confused her at the same time. Mari is the curious sort, the kind who would look at a lever and want to pull it. A hands-on learner, for better or for worse.

But before her curiosity would get the best of her she simply prods at the mechanical trousers. Her gaze lingers on it even as she follows him, stupified. "Did anyone commission you for these things?"
