hsr spoilers AND SLIGHT LEAKS ment / - on the aftermath and a certain theory.

after jenna sent me a particular twitter thread - have since gone feral.

i know we are all wondering what happened to sunday after the events of the trailblaze quest. i encourage you all to play through the epilogue (go back to the hallway of the grand theater and you will receive a text from robin) - it essentially confirms that he is not dead, but he is injured and very, very lonely and sad. but what happened to him? robin tells us when she awakens that he is no longer there - nowhere to be found. the implication being that he was either taken away - or more than likely absconded himself in misery to lick his wounds.

i think sunday is having a difficult time facing robin - because while ultimately his goals were not... 'wrong' they were just fundamentally flawed. the intentions were good - the underlying value understandable, but everything else surrounding it not so much. unfortunately - sunday was raised in a cult, raised literally to be this person - he is the charmony dove that was rescued and fell to it's death, but that's to be touched on another day.

anyways - again, what happened to sunday? there is a very plausible theory - that after the events of penacony, sunday is picked up by elio - and becomes a stellaron hunter.

'SAFF WHERE TF DID YOU GET THAT CRACKPOT THEORY FROM?' i'm glad you asked let me tell you!

in dreamflux rift - south of the bygoneville space anchor, there is a trash can in a tiny alcove. next to the trash can - is a poem titled 'death of the crow.'

the fact that it is listed as a mysterious invitation - is extremely important, but we'll circle back to that. the poem reads as follows:

now obviously this is very much an offshoot of edgar allan poe's 'the raven.' this is especially telling for a number of a reasons - as robin is riddled with emily dickinson motif's, and it would make sense that sunday (who is shown to have black wings wrapped around his waist similar to how robin has white) would be related to poe. additionally - while the birds that follow sunday around could've very well been his familiars - it's also possible that they are instead the dreammaster constantly keeping watch on sunday. regardless - he is surrounded by raven / crow and even dove motifs, where robin is very much little white or pure blue birds.

lets break it down bit by bit -

the first two stanzas set up the mention of the 'dying baby dove' - which is a direct correlation to the charmony dove that robin and sunday rescued as children, which lets us know that yes - this poem is almost MOST CERTAINLY about him. that dove obviously had a PROFOUND effect on sunday - who watched it die the second robin left to travel, despite their best efforts.

the third stanza is a bit more interesting. it begins to allude to sunday's warping vision of the world - likely after he became bronze melodia, and he started to see injustice and cruelty and had to make decisions on the behalf of harmony that were not conducive to his ideals. ADDITIONALLY, this stanza brings up "a flame-bathed raven, it's voice rasp that sings" which is MORE THAN LIKELY gopher wood given the following two stanzas.

these are more telling in different ways - because sunday was very much RAISED IN A CULT. he was fed immeasurable propaganda by the dreammaster (who is a halovian with black wings, by the way, when he did possess a form). while sunday is guilty of his actions - i want to circle back to that. this is the man that raised him. he was basically made for this. it's all he knows. anyways.

this line here is a direct representation of sunday switching from xipe's tune to ena - lest we forget that xipe DID absorb ena, so therefore to the halovian siblings, it is simply a different tune, is it not?

there is also the theory that the "flame-bathed raven" could be a direct reference to firefly - who's theme is 'nevermore' and she is incapable of dreaming, but it is more likely the poem is referencing gopher wood.

the next two stanzas mention 'scrying the world's pain' is very much a reference to sunday's overwhelming and misguided compassion - for how can he sit by and do nothing when he witnesses so much of it everyday. his heart 'grew resolute' in the wake of it - and thus he made the choice. sunday would then "ascend the stage" and "strive for divinity" - he draws back the curtain to his "utopia of absolute bliss" - HOWEVER....

" the dream is over, brother. "

the next stanza goes onto describe sunday losing the god's favor - casting him into darkness, and him likely being ready to fall and to die. BUT WHAT I WROTE ALL OF THIS FOR - WHAT I WANT EVERY TO FOCUS ON. IS THE LAST STANZA which i very much believe to be written by destiny's slave himself: elio.

once again - this is described as an invitation. this poem is elio inviting sunday to join the stellaron hunters "here lie the truest dreams, where infinite possibilities lope" "here all your ambitions shall be fulfilled and set aflame" - where else could sunday fulfill his desire for an elimination of worldly strife? where else could he turn but to the stellaron hunter's - who are all immensely powerful beings, with various goals that only elio's future can assist them in fulfilling? he is a PERFECT fit for the stellaron hunters, and a lethal one at that - with immeasurable power that he has barely demonstrated by his own hand.

there is another hint towards this as well - the poem / invitation is written by 'cecil simmes' by this twitter user:

there is a light cone coming out that features sunday on it, in front of a gramophone. what other stellaron hunter has such a lightcone? well...

it has been suggested that elio utilized these for communication - which leads me to my next point, the description of this leaked light cone:

this lc description could be very well based on sunday heading to join the hunters after receiving the invitation (POTENTIALLY also via gramophone).

also, elio writing the penacony script? yeah.

one more thing to touch base on - we don't really actually know what happens to firefly at the very end. assumedly she's fine (they won't kill a stellaron hunter permanently - at least not yet). with sunday disappearing - i genuinely think it's VERY possible she picked him up and he could be with the hunters, as we speak, or at least healing somewhere since we know he was injured.

anyways! i genuinely, actually, 100% think this to be a VERY possible theory. HSR is known for scattering lore tidbits in the most skewed of places - leaving breadcrumbs for their players to find. i think it's even more possible because sunday's playability is not really in sight anywhere, and it's very likely he will be getting an outfit change for this etc, so we might end up with a unique model in comparison. i am sincerely glad he is alive though, and that we will likely be seeing him in the future. i do think this would be the correct path to take his character - as the stellaron hunters - while morally grey - are not without what could be deemed 'a good cause,' one that - i think - sunday fits in well to. so here is hoping we are right, and his next appearance will be as stellaron hunter: sunday.

ㅤㅤㅤhachidori   prefers   a   distant   style   of   combat,   where   scara   preferred   the   blade.   this   mostly   has   to   do   with   the   fact   that   scara   was   reckless   but   still   calculated   -   where   as   hachidori   relies   more   on   his   speed.   additionally,   this   is   also   because   treating   injuries   is...   tedious.   

ㅤㅤㅤhachi's   body   does   not   cut   and   bleed   like   a   human's   form   -   rather   it   will   chip   and   crack,   or   develop   fissures   -   not   unlike   damaged   pottery.   taught   upon   creation   how   to   mend   his   wounds   (which   he   can   still   very   much   feel   pain   from),   the   wanderer   utilizes   'kintsugi.'   kintsugi   is   the   art   of   repairing   broken   pottery   with   "lacquer   dusted   or   mixed   with   powdered   gold,   silver,   or   platinum."   in   this,   the   breakage   becomes   a   history   of   the   object   -   rather   than   something   to   hide.   unfortunately   for   hachi,   however,   unless   his   wound   is   especially   grievous,   the   divinely   made   body   of   his   still   tends   to   hide   what   he   has   repaired,   though   in   certain   lighting   the   veins   are   not   hard   to   see   in   some   parts   of   him.   

ㅤㅤㅤthis   process   is   rather   tedious   -   though   not   painful,   and   should   hachi   allow   someone   to   assist   him   with   it,   it   would   be   an   expression   of   utmost   trust   and   intimacy.   

ㅤㅤㅤin   terms   of   visible   scarring   -   as   stated   above,   the   kintsugi   leaves   no   real   signs   upon   him   (much   to   his   chagrin)   save   in   certain   circumstances.   for   the   most   part,   he   appears   to   be   flawless   -   save   for   the   scarring   upon   his   back   and   nape.   there,   one   might   find   the   circular   rings   from   where   he   was   strung   to   shouki   no   kami.   he's   not   particularly   sensitive   about   them,   but   any   touch   in   their   direction   will   cause   him   to   flinch   away.   this   area   he   has   tried   to   rid   himself   of   multiple   times   -   however,   it   never   seems   to   fade,   much   to   his   displeasure.

caelu.s can basically see 'path auras' as a by product of akiv.ili being nestled in his stellaron. it's just something he senses and feels and it confuses him that he seems to be the only one that can do it. it's extremely jarring to him when someone 'switches' paths - like dh from hunt to destruction. he was notably startled and nervous for a hot minute.

in penacony's dream - he can't sense anyone's path, and he hates it. despises it. he can do so in the real world, but once the dream happens, it's almost like he's 'locked out' from akivili.

engagement to 'up and coming' star bobby putnam Agent Sculpin is nothing but a nightmare, ending in tragedy with his loss on a mission. she's labelled as a heartbroken widow: and maeve lets the press say what they want.

instead she buries herself in work, using vought's resources to do actual good work in their name, trying to make up for the horrors she knows are going on.

one mention before i go crawl into bed is that something unto death is described as causing 'spiritual deaths' presumably because it's drawing folks from penacony - out of harmony's gaze, and effectively into a coma. there is STILL debate if the body dies or not - but im disinclined to agree that it does so, or at the very least, not everyone does. again - this is specifically because of the repeated mention of 'spiritual death.'

for beings with such deep connections to harmony like robin and sunday, i also believe that the wound momentarily severs their connection with said harmony. something akin to severely breaking your leg - and having to wait for it to heal over time. so in a word, sunday is pretty useless right now.

ZARINA'S BUSINESS IN FONTAINE: THE SUMMARY.

MISTRESS SEREBRO: The woman who owes Zarina her life, the current owner of Fontaine's most successful theater and art gallery under the same names. True full name as of now is "Marianna de Beausoleil" and it's the name known within Fontaine. Her birth name was "Marianna Belobogova." Currently, she's referred to as 'Mistress Serebro.'

A woman from Snezhnaya who married a Fontanian noble and the owner of the theater within the land of Justice. It's commonly known as "Aurora Borealis" Theater. It's well known that the previous Count de Beausoleil was a crude man who was only successful because of his wife's artistic talents. She was married off quite young, but suffered greatly from her husband's wish to never have her beauty belong to anyone but him. Thus, she stopped showing her face and expose any of her skin to the public in fear that it would bring jealousy and possessiveness of her husband. No one knows how Mistress Serebro looks but many whisper about her possibly now hiding her aging face. Oh how wrong they are.

However, Marianna met Zarina - a fellow Snezhnayan - during those days just a late teen who was searching for someone... for her. Upon witnessing the truth of Marianna - the very reason that now she not only wears a mask and covers her body simply because of her husband's jealousy but because now she was harmed by him, for years even. Resilient and stubborn, Marianna was waiting for the day when she could take what she believed was always hers: the theater and her life.

After spending enough time with young Zarina, Marianna for the first time felt a surge of power. Her eyes would light up and her inner wish for revenge was flared up. It didn't take long for her husband to start getting sicker, but none would think about his wife. Marianna was well-beloved across Fontaine for her charitable work, for her support of those who enjoy magical arts, and for those who wish to work in the theater. While her husband had the name and the fame, she did all the work and it was well-known. Her husband passed away in Natlan where he was found with his mistress, the mistress was the one who killed him. Or so the story goes.

What people don't know is that her freedom was intoxicating to Marianna to the point where she would pledge her loyalty to Zarina, borderlining worship as she'd kiss the young girl's hand. But the only thing that was asked was this: Be my eyes and ears within Fontaine, Mistress Serebro, and give me everything that you are.

What did it mean? Oh, let us tell you that no one knows when it's Mistress Serebro who visits the theater or when it's Zarina Sokolova in her disguise. After all, it was all how it was supposed to be. Marianna would welcome actors and actresses, scriptwriters and costume designers, artists and more to her place from all across the world. To them, she is their savior. To Zarina, she's her prettiest doll.

ZARINA'S GENERAL BUSINESS IN FONTAINE: Zarina is someone who has her eyes and ears almost everywhere in Fontaine solely because of how many people from Fontaine visit the black market or wish to gain information from her about others. No one knows how the owner of A.S.H. looks like similarly to how it goes with Mistress Serebro and the theater. Many higher end people from merchants to owners to more exchange information for drugs, for tools, for other information, and for... other favors. Only the most loyal have the pleasure of seeing Zarina herself.

She is known under the name of Mademoiselle Celine Richelieu who is famous for her grand balls and her even grander... more indulgent events that happen after the dark hours. A closed club for those who love to enjoy themselves in more than just money and pretty pictures, but more of indulgence of the flesh, of the spirit, and of the darker sides. Nothing of... criminal activity, it's quite similar to casinos and many people who work in the government visit it to de-stress. Celine as an identity showcases herself being of bright and extravagant manner, indulging in lavishing events and letting others indulge in those as well... even if they are not of noble birth.

The only two rules of the Celine Richelieu's balls are: you must always wear masks and you must never say your name. It's all to prevent information from being given away.

In Fontaine, many political and rich figures see this as the 'necessary' evil. Without this indulgence, they wouldn't be able to live on like they always do. And, well, no one really knows until you receive an invitation yourself from Mademoiselle Richelieu. Fun fact is that Celine Richelieu is also a real person who Zarina uses to mas herself as when she arrives at Fontaine. However, she is - similarly to Mistress Serebro - is a woman who devoted herself to becoming Celine Richelieu to thank Zarina for giving her a new life. Who is the one behind Celine's mask if not Zarina? That woman's name and history has been erased fully, not even a single knowledge about her birthright can be found. What's known is that Celine is a blonde haired woman with eyes of gold.

i want to talk about how hera kisses: slow, sensual, as if time itself doesn't exist anymore. as if any moment now, you'll disappear from her hands like smoke or sand.... she kisses with intent, she kisses with soul...she kisses with a hunger so strong, so needful it feels as if she's luring your every breath, just to swallow it down. she'll whisper and moan softly into your mouth, little ways to tell you over and over that she loves you or how good you taste. she's desperate to crawl inside you, to bury herself between your ribs and make a home there. to be with you with each breath -- you can feel it in her kiss, in the way her hands seem to hold you closer and closer, tighter and tighter. i suppose you can say that is the daemoness inside of her, slithering her arms around you and nipping at your lips for more. that is all she wants. all she needs. you, all of you...and more of you.

i was thinking the other day about how animals LOVE wan/derer. conversely, one of my other muses (al/bedo) - they tend to avoid. despite them both being 'synthetic,' wand/erer is a being elemental energy - native and natural to teyvat, where as al/bedo was created from 'khemia' and doesn't have the same place in in a 'natural' order that wan/derer does. despite his cantankerous nature - animals gravitate to him because they are 'alike' in a sense - where as they find the homunculus disturbing because he is something so distinctly 'other,' and they can sense a power that can create something from nearly nothing, as well as possess immense natural destruction (re: the cataclysm). anyways despite ENDLESSLY trying to get rid of them - birds, cats, even prey animals will gravitate to wan/derer because he represents 'safety' and 'likeness' in a sense, much to his chagrin.
