SAMARA & NADIA (@wordsofruin)
One step at a time. Take a breath. It is alright. These were lingering thoughts Samara had as of late, trying to calm the terror sheβd been feeling. What would come of the creatures? Of the people? A few had unfortunately already been injured in the madness. But even in the fray, there was a sense of some solace as Samara caught sight of her friend from the Spring Court. βNadia!β she blurted out of relief, realizing quickly afterward that her tone may have been a little louder than usual. A wave of sheepishness overcame her and she cast shy, apologetic looks to a few others passing by. Though regardless, Samara shuffled down the corridor. βIt is so good to see you. I have been besides myself with worry. Iβare you alright? How fare you?β Brows furrowed in genuine concern, an uncertain frown lingering upon her lips for the moment.

Samara tried to never take for granted the things she had, which extended to friendships. She cherished those wonderful, heart-warming bonds, which also included the normal worrying over them. They had all known loss one way or another during the last few centuries. It brought an ache to her heart thinking that she may know that feeling again. So, whenever she saw someone she cared for face to face, she took in every moment. Took in their face and their words and everything that made them, well, them. Even just being able to hug Nadia now brought some welcomed relief to her heart. It was true, Nadiaβs words, they were not the ones caught in the front lines trying to figure it all out. Though it still took an emotional toll nonetheless. βYou are right,β she agreed quietly. βI am alright. Every day I pray that everyone willβ¦ come home safely.β Even though not everyone did, though that was something left unspoken.
Friends were few and far between for Nadia, and the few she did have she cared for fiercely. She was not overly social and tended to be fine by herself for the most part, so she was usually fine with the lack of real socializing and overall freedom that came with her position as Lady Amaryllis's lady-in-waiting. There were, however, times she wished she had more freedom to come and go wherever she wanted, and had the time to spend with those she didn't often get to spend time with. Samara being one of those people. Despite the tense feelings spread amongst the courts, she couldn't help but smile upon seeing her friend. She gave her friend a hug, one of the few times she wanted to physically assure someone. "I'm perfectly fine, Samara. I'm one of the last people you need worry about. I'm not the one who has to figure out how to deal with all this mess..." she trailed off, sighing to herself and reminding herself that she was in one of the safest positions in all of Prythian. "And you? Tell me you haven't somehow gotten wrapped up in all of this."
