𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐄𝐍 she was an attentive student . back then it was for leopold , learning the ways of what it meant to be faerie , to what magic is . now ? she was learning ways of being the mundane ━━━ from a witch . it was for that reason that auraline holds a glamour even within her own realm ; blending in as an ordinary flower within the gardens ( hair still curly , but shorter , clothes she wears found outside of her closet as queen , still picked by her husband ) to experience this pokémon go as any other ordinary person . she cheers excitedly watching darcy succeed in her capture of the creature on her phone . ❛ truly ? ❜ she asks , believing her ( she can see how the game is fun , but to skip out on college because of it ? ) . ❛ okay i'll try ... ❜ she begins , holding out the modern device in front of her . she presses the buttons she watched darcy's fingers cross earlier ( perhaps a little more awkwardly ) and though the swipes of the pokeballs she throws takes a few tries , she is eventually successful . ❛ i got it ! ❜

" in her mind , she's twenty again and glued to her phone for the better part of a whole summer . in reality , she's sitting by a fountain in the royal gardens and thanking the stars just a little bit that the dimensional shift means she has enough reception to reach three poke stops and an arena in new york , all from her comfortable spot in the castle . the blue pokemon on the screen makes a tinny little noise , and darcy is once again enchanted . " so this is why i didn't go to college . " not quite ; but it factored into her reasoning a good ... ten percent , maybe . ( leo can never know . ) when another pokemon spawns , darcy hands the phone to auraline . " now you try . "
