𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋𝐌 𝐎𝐅 𝐅𝐀𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 was not one the devil often visited . the fair folk stayed out of heaven and hell business , as they stayed out of theirs , just as the creatures here did not pray to the devil or his demons for help ( instead seeking out the help from their own devilish masters ) . the last he was here amara ruled ; now her daughter did in her stead ━━━ one he knew of long before royalty crowned her curls thanks to her husband . kaladhar watches them from a distance , the oh-so happy family : auraline seated in the grass holding their youngest ryella in her arms , laughter spilling from her lips as she watches their twin daughters , celeste and alina , play and run around , leopold quick on their heels . it's a beautiful sight really , a family of both light and dark enjoying a moment of peace . he does not make his presence known , but before long , it is the warlock that notices him , the devil seated on a wooden bench within the enclave of the wisping trees , a distance away to not disturb ━━━ yet there was no mistake . he wants to be seen , in time , by the warlock himself . ❛ leopold wayne . . . ❜ he greets as @violentdesires eventually approaches them . ❛ the years have been kind to you . i see you have finally gotten the family you prayed for . ❜

𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 that is as sacred to leopold as the time that he gets to spend with his family . each giggle that fills the air - whether it comes from his wife or his daughters - reminds him how blessed he is , making it easier and easier to forget his troubled past . strong arms capture celeste and he spins her around before he leans down to lift alina into his arms as well , pressing a kiss to each of their heads . this is a moment that he is going to cherish forever and soon enough he sits in the grass to kiss auraline , smiling against her lips . it is hard to describe how much light they bring into his life . . . and that is why it stings even more when the shadows creep in . leo freezes when he notices a familiar face and he stares for a moment , but his mind is not playing a trick on him . kaladhar . blue eyes meet the faerie's and he swallows before he smiles at her . ❛ could you take them back to the spire , my love ? ❜ he asks , already rising to his feet , but not without kissing her hair . ❛ i will explain everything later . i promise . ❜ as much as it pains him to leave a pleasant moment for one he would prefer to avoid , it will ease his mind if his loved ones are safe and that requires distance . the warlock walks toward the devil , holding his gaze when he greets him . ❛ kaladhar . what brings you here ? ❜
