If i am going to be honest with you ,childe, in my own humble opinion without being sentimental of course, without offending anyone who thinks differently from my own point of view,but also by looking into this matter in distinctive perspective ,i would like to say i have nothing to say.

ㅤㅤ❛❛     you  know   ,   on  most  days   -   i  want  to   punch  you   .   right  now  though  ?   i  want  to  throw  you  through  a  window  .   i  wonder  how  far  you'd  go  ,  should  we  find  out  ?  we  can  make  a  game  of  it  ,  have  the  other  agents  and  harbingers  bet  on  how  far  out  i  can  throw  you  .  it'll  be   fun   .     ❜❜

ㅤㅤ❛❛     i'm  sure   ,   and  it  has   nothing  to  do   with  the  fact  that  you  absolutley  adore  teucer   -   and  you   know   you'd  adore  tonia  and  anthon  if  you  met  them  .     ❜❜     which  truthfully  was  just  one  of  the   many  reasons   they  continued  to  fall  more  and  more   in  love  with  him  .  seeing  how  much  he  cared  for  klee  ,  bennett   -   for  their  own  siblings  when  teucer  decides  to  sneak  off  to  mondstadt  .

ㅤㅤit  was  hard   not   to  fall  more  in  love  seeing  that  .

ㅤㅤ❛❛    right  right   ,   we  have  a  bit  to  figure  out  what  we  want  to  get  them  .  plus  i  really  would  like  to  get  something  that's  more  fit  for  this  weather  .  this  shirt  might  not  look  fit  for  winter  ,  but  the  fabric  is  not  that  breathable  .   ❜❜   maybe  they  should  have  bought  some  new  clothes   before   coming  to  sumeru   …   but  then  again  ,  then  they  wouldn't  be  able  to  let  kaeya  dress  them  up  ,  and  they  love  any  excuse  to  get  his  hands  on  them  .

ㅤㅤthey  hum  ,   finally  taking  their  eyes  off  him  to  instead  look  around  at  the  different  vendors  .  it  was   a  lot   -   it  somewhat  reminded  them  of  liyue  and  how  busy  the  streets  would  be  ,  even  in  the  early  morning  hours  .   they  try  to  keep  their  mind  calm  though  ,  every  so  often  squeezing  his  hand  as  a  way  to  ground  theirself  .

ㅤㅤ❛❛   what  about  that  shop  ?   there's  a  few  racks  of  clothes   -   maybe  they'll  have  something  that  we'll  like  ?     ❜❜

Seeing the blush dust upon Ajax’s cheeks, Kaeya’s eye shaped into a crescent as dimples appeared upon his face. After everything that’s happened, to see his beloved star smile and show their emotions so freely made the Mondstadtian feel lighter than ever before.

They deserve this. They both do.

When called cute, however, he let out an indignant groan as he chuckled and rolled his eye, nudging them with an elbow while still holding their hand. “Hush. I just don’t want you to return from Sumeru empty-handed, that’s all. Plus, I wouldn’t hear the end of it if I did, too. I’m pretty sure Klee would have some words for me, and Bennett’s disappointment would kill me on the spot.”

As Ajax offered to help find gifts for his own troublemakers, Kaeya gave their hand a grateful squeeze.

“That sounds wonderful to me, liebling. Fortunately, we have plenty of time to find gifts that they would appreciate the most. But for now, it’s due time to find you some appropriate outfits so you don’t burn to a crisp or melt during our stay here.”

Speaking of, they eventually reached their first street of vendors to browse through, humming lightly as Kaeya briefly scanned each stall to see if he could find any racks of clothing or mannequins out on display. “Feel free to let me know if something catches your eye while we try to find a clothier.”

ㅤㅤ❛❛     you  can  be   whatever   you  want  to  be   ,   you  have  that  choice  .   become  a  toymaker   if  you  want  .  i'll  be  there  to  support  you  ,  and  help  you  along  the  way  the  best  i  can  .   ❜❜     they  will   always   be  there  to  support  him  ,  always  be  there  to  keep  an  eye  on  him  ,  make  sure  that  he's  able  to  chase  after   every  dream   he  ever  has  .

ㅤㅤas  long  as  they're  alive  ,  they'll  make  sure  he  can  live  the  life  he  wants  .

ㅤㅤthey  bend  down  ,  resting  against  their  knees  as  he  steps  forward  .  reaching  out  to  gently  take  ahold  of  the   fox  plush   offered  out  .  they  look  down  at  it  for  a  moment  ,  exhaling  slowly   -   they  were  still  weary  .  still  afraid  that  their  sibling  would  look  at  them  and  see  them  as  a  monster  like  their  parents  did  .  afraid  that  they'll  mess  up  and  cause  more  of  a  rift  between  them  and  their  family  ..

ㅤㅤ❛❛     i  can't  promise  not  to  lie   ,   there  are  some  things  i  can't  tell  you   -   or  the  family  .  some  things  i  have  to  keep   secret   .   ❜❜   they  reach  out  to  ruffle  his  hair  ,  giving  him  a  somewhat   sad  smile   .   lying  had  become  a  part  of  their  life  at  this  point  ,  a  way  to  separate  themself  ,  keep  themself  somewhat  sane  .  lie  to  protect  their   family   ,   to  protect  their   friends   ..   lie  to  protect  that  small  part  of  themself  that  still  wanted  to  be  human  .

ㅤㅤ❛❛    but  i'll  try   ,   alright  ?   i  wont  promise   -   because  i  don't  want  to  break  it  .  i  don't  want  to  break   any   of  my  promises  to  you  ..  but  i  will  try  ,  can  you  accept  that  ?   ❜❜

( 🎠 ) IT WAS HARD to grasp that adults would lie to him in such a manner - especially mama . . she made it seem that he killed because he enjoyed it when it seemed that his big brother didn't really wish to have a part of the fatooy at all. when he was with him in liyue and fontaine he seemed happy to show him around the toy factories, that alone told the young boy that ajax wasn't all bad. he wasn't dangerous.

AT LEAST TO him anyway. he wouldn't purposefully hurt him like mama suggested he would. he wanted to trust that . . that he wouldn't hurt tonia or alonya or any of them. alonya was smart and she wasn't scared of him or angry with him . . so it only made sense that he should be able to not be scared too.

HE SNIFFLES, RUBBING at his eyes as bright blues finally look to the elder brother without a lick of negativity behind them as he hesitates from where he sits on the bed. after a moment he begins to stir, nodding a little.

❝ STILL WANNA BE a toymaker . . mama can't say no to that . . you can still help me try right ? can still be . . be my brother 'cus big sister isn't scared of you. she still gives you big hugs like she gives me when you come home. she doesn't hug people she doesn't like. ❞ he holds onto the fox plushie that he hadn't thrown as he slides out of bed , picking up one of the other foxes from the floor before looking up at his brother from the doorway.

MAMA AND PAPA giving his brother away made him nervous if they would do the same to him if he kept running off when he got upset. it wasn't as bad as being stuck somewhere for months or days or . . whatever ( that part confused him but if his brother didn't wanna explain he wouldn't push him. he didn't wanna make him upset or even sadder . . ) he meant by that. he chews on his lower lip before taking steps forward til he was standing in front of him.

HE OFFERS THE fox with a scarf to him , a peace offering of sorts as his brows raised while his lip pouted a little bit. ❝ . . I FORGIVE YOU ! just . . um. don't lie anymore ? that's mean. mama lied a lot and said untrue things , don't be like mama. be like big sister alyona - she has someone she loves too. you're just like her ! ❞
