      the day was turning out to be any other day, staying up late to practice and waking up early for classes. he was used to the routine, after all, he did promise his parents that his studies wouldn't be neglected even after turning pro. " yeah bro, i gotta head out- i'm going to the training facility. " he prepares to bid adieu to his university friends, until he feels something underneath one of his air jordans. crouching down on the floor, he picks up a black, leather wallet, noting the designer emblem. it was easy to tell whom this belonged to, as all he had to do was check the school I.D. on the inside. lo and behold, his heart drops to his stomach upon seeing the name, stopping in his tracks. " yang jongho ?! " hyunki almost shouts at the top of his lungs, which was very much unlike him. it was a name that anyone could recognize if you happened to go to the same school as him. it was also someone who he had seen a couple of times, and . . well, he'd rather not get into how he felt about the guy. thankfully, there was a contact number of some sort on the back of the school I.D. taking his phone from his pocket, he bites his lower lip, staring down at the blank SMS conversation, groaning before hesitantly typing up a message.

      " yah, why are you late tonight ? you said we're playing at 11pm and it's already almost midnight. " he mumbles into his microphone, resting his chin on his hand with a chuckle. " okay, do you want to do team deathmatch first to warm up ? i'm definitely warmed up from practice. " hyunki did come from scrims after all. looking over at his stream's chat, he snorts at all the excited comments that pop up, one after the other. " where's this kind of enthusiasm for me ? why are you all suddenly alive when yoomi comes in huh. y'all are all sus. " he scolds his chat, voice sleepy, but he knows that his night really just started. keeping his finger on the push-to-talk button, he speaks up to talk to her once again. " chat loves you more than me and i genuinely don't know how i feel about this. " he continues to joke around with her, moving his hand over the mouse and waits for her to pop-up on his friends' list so he can invite her into his party.

      finally finishing all his schedules for the day, hyunki makes his way to where vicky said she'd be working. it was the perfect scenario for him after all, knowing that he'd be feeling famished after attending his classes and practice. making his way inside the fast-food restaurant, he spots the female rather quickly, making sure he queued up for her cashier just to mess with her. putting his hands in his pockets while waiting for his turn, his eyebrows raise slightly when she overhears the conversation between his friend and the older lady in front of her, seemingly like they were in the middle of an argument in the middle of the busy store.
