“What the fuck is it that you want? I’m locked behind bars because of you and your stupid friends! I wanted revenge for my brother but it turned out that I wanted you instead but I can’t have that now because it’s just not possible” Ethan threw a rage as he shook the prison bars violently 

Meanwhile - behind the security cameras were Chrissy and Kirby waiting to gather some evidence on Ethan on why he did what he did so they could appeal for his sentencing to be longer due to how many peoples lives he not only put at risk but how many he killed. 

When gathering the evidence, Chrissy turned to her new deputy (Kirby) and told her “Start that recording Kirbs, no one wants to see this sick bastard get what he deserved more than I do for what he done to people”

The smirk that Ethan had on his face once he finished saying it because he knew that once he was proven innocent that Emma will still be wrapped around his finger even if he did shoot her - his motive was getting back at anyone who harmed Emma after everything that happened to both of them in the end - Ethan still loved Emma.
