one of my most favorite details about the shorekeeper is her scars, which only ever seem to appear on her model in game along her calves and thighs. in her forte examination report, it details them as the following:

[ ... ] the Remnant Energy within her has shown signs of dissipation multiple times, leading to excessive energy loss and crystal fragmentation. This may be attributed to the processing of Lament data via massive computation. Notably, the Shorekeeper has detected these issues and has attempted to mitigate the damage by replacing her damaged parts with new energy crystals. The string-like wave marks on her shoulders and calves are likely scars from this healing process.

these markings do not appear in most official art of her, disregarding her splash art, and ( notably ) do not appear along her shoulders in the in game model as described by the above. so i have taken it upon myself to very roughly sketch in where i believe those scars may fall.

while there may appear to be little rhyme or reason to where the shorekeeper bears her scars, i believe there a relevance to her dissipation being most prominent in her limbs, as they are likely what would begin to fall away first. the scars themselves are like seams, indicative of where regenerated crystals have come together with older ones. in certain instances, it is as simple as knitting together skin where it has begun to crack and fade away. in worse ones, it is the recreation of entire limbs.

due to this being a regular process, these scars shift and change over time.
