“i’ve already told you, love,” fingers hold the flute of a wine glass, pinky underneath, and may takes a healthy sip of his wine. “if you want the velvet cushions, get them, you can do what you want with the house.” using the term ‘house’ was certainly undermining the sheer size of may and yuhui’s shared manor, but it was true— dark, antique hues of red and mahogany wood had been replaced with lighter tones of ivory and cream, nature entwined within their living room through potted plants and winding leaves of ivy. yuhui had made their home brighter since his changing. perhaps that was his way of coping. coping with their relocation, his new way of…life, if one could call it that, and who was may to take those little pockets of happiness away from his husband?

“just, please don’t get rid of the gramophone, we just got those good shellacs…” red eyes meet ice blue, and may smiles over the rim of his wine glass, knowing he just gave yuhui the perfect excuse to tease him again.
