Welcome to the accessibilityeditr blog. (Accessibility editor.) The purpose of this blog is to provide image ids, and alternate text on editblr posts. This idea was by @/highanddrunkallthetime and truthfully, I saw it and figured it would be a good idea. I will do my best to provide transcripts for posts, whether it be describing the graphics they've made or providing ids for a typing quirk. For a guaranteed ID on your post, please @ me. Whether the creator, or the user who wants to be able to understand what the creator is posting. This can be done via reblog if you’re a user, or you can send the link to the post in my ask box.

If you, a creator, are bad at transcribing images, please feel free to @ me and i will get around to it ASAP. Some of you may be asking why... here's that answer! I am on editblr (editor tumblr) quite a bit, have my own account, its grown a following. Ive realized just how inaccessible a large majority of this community is. Fonts, flashy graphics, Typing quirks, Credits in the alt text rather than a ID for the disabled. And, as a disabled person myself, while not visually. I can imagine how hard it is for one who is to traverse this mass of decorated nonsense. I love that people are expressing themselves and finding new ways to decorate and show their personality. Im not taking that away from anyone, not asking anyone to change who they are. I'm just here to make it easier for those who are visually impaired in anyway. Thank you. I'm going to be pulling a taglist from my other account, anyone who can offer me a reblog, id greatly appreciate it. a requests alternative for me that I think I might enjoy more that I came up with while sleep deprived this morning.

it's more of a little challenge for me, and I don't know if I'm going to be very good at explaining it, but I'll do my best. Essentially, you guys are allowed to submit random / hard to use / funky pngs or resources and I try to use them in a graphic.

I think it'll put me under less stress, because I can do characters and medias that I enjoy and I'm familiar with, but you guys still get to have some say over the graphic and it might help me with inspiration too.

rules for me :

I can't hide the PNG so less of it is visible than hidden

I can't change the PNG to be completely unrecognisable

I can cut up the PNG, as long as you can still make it out

I can change the colours, hide potentially difficult parts of the PNG, etc

I think this would be fun, maybe, and it would push me to maybe experiment with new styles. Maybe if I enjoy this, I might let people submit colour palettes and other things to use instead.

also, I'm happy for people to submit several pngs either in separate asks or all in one.
