Cops as a rule, did not like Emma.

For obvious reasons but also some cops also didn't like the way Emma got her marks to pay up.

Emma had gotten good at recognizing a cop though, there was something about the swagger, and the guy sitting next to her at he bar was one hundred percent, without a doubt, a cop.

Emma sipped her drink, hopping the very obvious cop wouldn't pay attention to her.

"Ah, so you're American." Lea said with a smile. She’d never been to America before. Though she did want to visit someday. Perhaps the king and queen would travel there for a diplomatic visit someday.

It had taken a while to get time to go to the little park, let alone find their way there. But Miles had been determined to make it there. Things had been chaotic enough, moving here from West Virginia, and getting adjusted at the hospital. But with a four year old? And doing it all on his own?

Anna needed the break. The chance to just be a little girl. And to be honest, he needed it too. Being a single working parent was hard. And he had to make sure that his daughter's emotional needs were being met just as much as her physical ones.

As they walked down the path, Anna's bright smile, sweet face, and little voice greeted everyone with a hello and a wave. But when she saw the little creek up ahead, she broke free from his grip and raced forward, nearly running right into the legs of a woman also standing on the creekbed.

Rushing up, Miles managed to catch up before the little girl ran into the water. "I'm sorry." He apologized as Anna wriggled, eager to go splash around in the water. "She didn't bump into you, did she?"

Her arms ached from doing compressions for so long without a break. But she hadn't stopped, and Graham was alive, thank God. The doctors said it was some kind of sudden cardiac event, that should have killed him, but he had lived sort of a medical miracle.

Catching sight of him waking up, Emma moved to his side from the uncomfortable plastic chair she'd been sitting in.

"Graham, hey. Look at me, you're okay, don't move too much okay? They had to put in a ton of IVs and I don't want you ripping them out."

"I thought we could just go for a walk through the meadow." Michael said, stepping out of Belle's arms and holding out his hand to her. When he'd first woken up he couldn't imagine living this life, the war was over, and he had married the most beautiful and kind hearted woman he'd ever met.

Michael smiled, Belle was shorter than him, so her cheek came to rest between his shoulders.

Reaching for her hands, Michael lifted her left hand and kissed her wedding band.

"Your father's off, and chores are finished for the day, want to go for a walk?"

Not even her vivid daydreams had been a fraction as spectacular as her reality is. Michael Carter is everything Belle's ever desired and more. Nineteen years ago he'd held their first son and heir for the first time, that had been one of the greatest moments of Edmund's life, a new chapter and a fresh start.

But just because baby Hyacinth was baby number eight didn't make her any less precious.

If anything his recent brush with death made this moment just as special.

Violet had fallen asleep so when their newborn fussed Edmund got up to tend to her.

He hadn't been able to hold Hyacinth when she was first born, he'd been too poorly. So this was the first he'd been able to hold his youngest.

Shushing gently, Edmund sat down on the edge of the bed, whispering to his daughter so that he wouldn't wake his exhausted wife.

After a few minutes he felt Violet stir.

"I got her... she's perfect, Vi."
