August 31st, 2001 Yoo Seung-jun released his sixth album: Infinity

Yoo Seung-jun (유승준) also known as Steve Yoo, born December 5th, 1976. He maed his debut as a singer in 1997, all of his early albums became instant hits selling over a million records each. In 200 he started releasing music in China and Taiwan. His album ‘’Infinity’’ did not preform as well as his previous albums, but it still managed to debut at #1 in the Korean charts. In 2002 right before he was drafted for his mandatory military service, Yoo became a naturalized U.S. citizen, mening that he would not have to do his Korean military service. This act was seen as a desertion and the South Korean government deported him, and he was permanently banned from entering the country. In 2017 Yoo lost his second appeal for having his enty band lifted, and his is not allowed to return to Korea or to appeal his entry ban ever again.
