I liked this a lot and I hear it was some kind of common "subgenre" back in the day, which I'll have to investigate further.

What actually kept my mind BUSY while watching it is it's heavy usage of Queen's "The Kiss (Aura Resurrects Flash)", from the Flash Gordon score. There's also a little bit of "Escape from the Swamp" thrown in there for good measure.

I paused the movie several times to specifically google info about that —because it was so distracting— but found nothing about them using Queen's music as an inspiration - or if they actually used bits from it, unlicensed. Guess we'll never know…

Suddenly in the Dark (1981)

🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

There it is. Korean cult horror movie time. Randomly watched it on a streaming platform, expecting something nice (as in a good horror movie). And it is. It is good.

This was the first classic horror movie from Korea that I watched. All the elements remind me of Indonesian classics where Suzanna was in. Carpeted floor, western floral shabby wallpaper, sheer outfits, etc. Only the village girl with an inherited shaman doll suddenly brings the traditional, mystical value to the plot –which led to the conflicts. The movie is filled with harmful thoughts of a wife, for she mistakenly (or maybe she wasn't?) thinks her husband cheated with the new maid. It was very paranoiac, quite intense, and draining. The ending somehow reminded me of Evil Dead (1981), and although as cliché as it always is in cult horrors, it is still enjoyable to watch!

엇그제에는 100여개 별이 보이더니...

저 남동쪽으러 노랗게 목성이 떠오른거 같기도 한데.....

별자리앱을 봐야 알겠지만....

깊은밤...

선선하고...

조용하고...

좋다...

다시 소쩍새 운다....

개구리도 또 울겠지...

개골개골...

‘관능여인’ 정윤��� 이보희 안소영, 80년대 에로배우가 한 자리에

정윤희, 이보희, 안소영, 나영희, 이기선. 80년대를 뜨겁게 달구었던 에로영화 속 여주인공들이 한자리에 모였다.

한국영상자료원은 다음달 31일까지 1980년대를 대표했던 에로영화 15편을 무료로 상영한다고 11일 밝혔다. 이번 기획전의 주제는 ‘관능여인(官能女人), 80년대 에로영화’다.

키워드는 당시‘ 女배우’에 맞췄다. 1980년대는 스포츠(sports), 스크린(screen), 섹스(sex)라는 정부의 ‘3S 정책’에 맞물려 많은 에로영화가 제작됐다. 이에 정윤희, 이보희, 안소영 등 80년대에 왕성하게 활동한 여배우들이 섹시한 이미지로 대중의 높은 관심을 받았다.

먼저 눈에 띄는 작품은 정윤희의 대표작 4편이다. 유지인, 장미희와 함께 1980년대 여배우 트로이카 전성시대를 열었던 정윤희는 청순하면서도 유혹적인 섹시미를 발산하는 묘한 얼굴로 당시 남성들의 마음을 사로잡았다. ‘꽃순이를 아시나요(1978)’‘뻐꾸기도 밤에 우는가(1980)’ ‘앵무새는 몸으로 울었다(1981)’, 그리고 ‘안개마을(1982)’을 통해 ‘영원한 연인’ 정윤희의 치명적인 매력을 확인할 수 있다.

이장호 감독의 ‘바보선언(1983)’과 ‘무릎과 무릎사이(1984)’를 통해 이름을 알린 이보희의 작품도 팬들을 기다린다. 이보희는 ‘어우동(1985)’을 통해 80년대를 대표하는 관능적인 여배우로 자리 잡았다. 이번 기획전에서는 세 편의 영화를 모두 상영한다.

나영희 역시 80년대에 다양한 작품에 출연해 유명세를 탔다. 그는 순수하고 세련된 외모로 팬들의 사랑을 받았다. 이번 기획전을 통해 나영희의 출연작 ‘백구야 훨훨 날지마라(1982)’가 처음 소개된다. 또 ‘나비 품에서 울었다(1983)’,‘화녀82(1982)’‘매춘(1988)’ 등을 통해 나영희만의 개성적인 연기를 접할 수 있다.

1982년 최고흥행작인 안소영의 ‘애마부인(1982)’을 비롯해 ‘티켓(1986)’ ‘깊은밤 갑자기(1981)’ ‘버려진 청춘(1982)’에서 열연한 이기선의 농염한 연기도 확인할 수 있다.
